Iodine can be taken as a supplement to support the thyroid, but when most people talk about iodine they mean the poisonous disinfectant, which is obviously not something to mix with DMSO. Either you are trying to be funny or were misinformed by someone.

I have noticed from my 1 year of Jelq that I gained the most from stretching & heat. In one year I EG 41/2 to EG 51/4. Looking for the same growth next year to EG 61/4. Also, BPFSL 41/2 to BP-EG 53/8. So far so good.

Go do some reading and show me that it is dangerous to mix with DMSO. Only in overdose would iodine be dangerous. So many people in today’s society are iodine deficient, the DMSO helps to deliver it more so.

I’d honestly like you to prove me wrong here because I am supplementing with both right now and have noticed an all round healthier feel.

If your looking to remove fibrosis (Peyronie’s disease) from the shaft, SSKI (Super Saturated Potassium iodide) mixed with an equal amount of 70% DMSO is supposed to be very helpfull.

I, too, have this cord. I’d be interested to know of anyone’s experience who also has a cord. I believe having this cord will mean slow gains are ensued.

I plan on overcoming this by keeping religious with my PE

My conclusion is that slow gains are caused by lack of consistence & setting your goals too low. I am increasing my goal from 53/4 to 61/2. Also must be consistence.

Just another perspective here. Your conclusion that slow gains are caused by inconsistency is probably not totally true because when you have inconsistency your going to have a plateau more likely then slow gains. Rather look at your gains over a long period. You may find that your gains are rather consistent and your expectations are too high. Many fall into this psychological trap. If you gain an 1/8 inch in month that would equate to 1 1/2 inches in a year. That’s not bad. Impatience is our greatest enemy. If your gains are non existent it may needs be that you will want to bust up your ligs to get them moving again and then, your right, consistency is key to keeping them moving.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Monty, he made really great gains in a fairly short period of time. He is one of the “ol timers” here, and in my opinion one of the really knowledgeable Veterans. I consider him one of the people here worth studying.

In that light, Monty I have some questions I would love to hear your answers on.

Its an interesting concept, you are saying that non gains or plateaus are due to toughening of the ligaments and that can be resolved with breaking down that toughening?

Also, by inference you are saying prolonged layoffs merely serve to allow that toughening to reduce and this will provide an alternative?

Monty what are a couple of your favorite ways to “bust up” the ligaments. Please if you could include a non hanging method for those that don’t have the equipment for hanging.

AND please tell us if its better to “bust em up” before, during or after a workout. In other words what is the best way to bust em, and proceed after doing so.
