Reasons for SLOW gains and NO gains

It is all about consistency and slowly increasing intensity. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone who was consistent with PE every single day and did not gain.

Uh, that one person would be ME bluray ;)

I personally don’t buy the heat argument one bit. In all of my researching in the PE world, I was never able to find anything remotely related to heat increasing the liklihood for gains. Heat seems to do one thing: help prevent injury. Besides, in my particular case, I’ve used heat and if anything, it actually made my JELQING sessions worse. Stretching? Not much of a difference. Also, reading a lot of progress logs of guys who gained a lot using manual PE, very few of them actually used any heat at all: ER, braindrain just to name 2 off the top of my head…

I’m thinking that, in my particular case anyway, I’m perhaps in that small group of individuals that just lack the capacity for growth. I really started believing this early on my PE career (around month 5 and no gains) but lately it seems to be more and more the case for me. How do you guys feel about that?

Besides taking a decon-break, changing routine is the only thing I can think of. Some people seems to have a good reaction to short and (relatively) intense stimuli, while others to longer and light stimuli. Have you done only manuals?

I feel you should stick with using heat, properly, for 6 months, then report back. And you need to stop believing you lack capacity for growth.

I make my living out of connective tissue problems. I know heat works.
And in getting injured athletes back to full performance, I often have to help their coaches get their confidence sorted out, so I have a fair handle on negative mental attitudes too.

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

I’ve tried decon-breaks before. Never amounted to anything. I have done 100% manual. I recently bought clamps and started tinkering with them, but my attitude is not good at the moment. In other words, my current mindset is “you shouldn’t bother wasting the time because it’s obvious that this, like all other methods, will probably fail.” I don’t like that attitude, but I’m slipping into that. It sucks :(

Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say “properly?”

I used heat consistently for 9 months and it didn’t amount to anything so I don’t feel it necessary to do it again for 6 months and report back.

And I know I need to stop believing in that nonsense, but we learn through experiences and my experiences have trained me to believe this :(

Out of some kind of illness, I don’t see what could be the reason why one shouldn’t have gain, with one technique or another. Let’s say you have a very, very tough tunica: this would make little or no difference as far as low tension forces are applied, because here the foremost variable is time. Go figure that extenders have some degree of success even on people with Peyronie’ disease.

I don’t think Figo is saying heat alone will make your penis grow, but that heat is an important factor, a thing that you can’t discount basing on your experience - it made no difference for you, but that doesn’t means automatically that you should cut it out.

Instead, the negative mind can play a role, IMHO. I don’t adhere to mystic-oriented practices, but I think that some relaxing techniques can have benefits for PE, for example autogenic training.

In the past, there has been this prevalent thinking that we should try somewhat to harm the penis to deform it, like it was a piece of metal. While this approach can have a limited success, I think it is more beneficial to think at the PE process like a gentle, systematic ‘feeding the growth’.

Your body has in itself the ability to grow, you don’t have to fight your penis or punish it, just ‘invite him to grow’.
This requires the appropriate body-mind state.

My English doesn’t allow me to explain properly what I mean, but I hope you can have a vague sense of what I’m trying to say.

UFGator,

So you have never hung? Build yourself a wench or buy a Bib or Redi Stretcher and try hanging. You will gain.

Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Current BPEL 7 1/2 x 5.5 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches.

Gator do you take rest days? What kind of split do you do, how many on days until you take an off?

Eh, I’m not sure. Granted, I do have a pessimistic attitude about virtually everything. Well, actually, I don’t even refer to it as pessimistic anymore. I consider myself a realist - I don’t hide reality with optimism. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is, I’m not really sure I think attitude has anything to do with it. It’s basically like saying that if you eat 3 medium pizzas per day, you won’t gain a single pound if you maintain an extremely positive attitude that you will NOT gain weight. Physically, it just isn’t possible. The “mind” is a powerful force, surely. But it does not seem to have the ability to deter physical processes from occurring. With that being said, in regards to PE, I think if one does exactly what is needed in order to get positive results, it probably won’t matter whether they had a positive or negative outlook on the actual process. Sorry, that’s just my take on it.

Nope never hung. Thought about it for future endeavors for sure.

“You will gain.” That’s funny. I think everyone said that about jelqing, stretching, and the newbie routine too…

I do. I’ve tried to stay away from a set schedule though. I’ve taken rest days when I felt I needed them. Sometimes this was after one day of jelqing and some days I went 5-7 straight days of jelqing. I try to use P.I.s to judge this (flaccid hang, BPFSL, MW, NW) but not EQ. My EQ never seems to wilt from PE.

Interesting, I was totally wrong in the above post then because you definitely know what your doing lol, your going to have to break down and finally try hanging!

PE Goal: 7.5" NBP x 5.8" MSG

In all actuality, I probably don’t know what I’m doing.

My results, or lack there of, attest that fact.

Hanging might be something I try in the future, but right now I’m considering a very lengthy / indefinite break from PE. Maybe even permanent, who knows…

Too frustrated to walk into something completely new and unique.
