This topic has been floating around here at Thunders, and I think its really a VERY important question and should be addressed in a thread.

There are guys that find that the more PE they do, the better the gains they get. On the other hand there are guys that find that very short routines give them the best results and when they try and do more, they stop gaining or worse, lose some size and EQ drops through the floor.

So what is the answer, is more better, or is less better? Well, the answer is WHAT WORKS FOR YOU IS BEST! I happen to fall in the category that less is more. I have spent the last few years unable to believe that. Trust me, if hours in the tube or jelquing or stretching was better for me, my dick would be dragging on the ground by now. The fact is, even after years of conditioning, about 5 minutes of jelquing or pumping is about right for me. I have even tried low force pumping for up to an hour or more…great expansion, followed by contraction and EQ going to shit for a few days.

On the other hand, you constantly read guys who finally get serious and do a couple hours a day of PE and grow like crazy! I hate reading these cases, because it always inspires me to try it “one more time”, as if it will have a different outcome this time.

So, really bottom line is you must assess how your routine is effecting you. Some will respond very well to long sessions, and for some anything more than modest short sessions will result in a slide into impotency. I suggest to any Newbie, start easy for a few weeks to condition your penis against injury, then slowly over a period of weeks, ramp up time and see what happens to your EQ. EQ is a great sign for pretty much everyone, if your EQ is improving (hardness, frequency, ease of erections, nite and morning wood), its a VERY good indicator that you aren’t over training, at least not by much.

A routine that is dialed into YOUR physiology should produce a definite improvement of your EQ, and when you start to push past that zone, you will see a definite decrease of EQ. That’s your sign to back down to the level where you were getting great EQ. That will put you very close to your GROWTH ZONE, so kinda’ experiment in that area, a little more or a little less until you start to get gains.

As a general note I’d say it’s about reading the signs from your dick. For newbies I think starting really low intensity is key, and staying there until the gains stop, then ramp up the intensity. There is no point over-doing it and then have your dick turtle up on you after you worked it too hard.

So I say, keep it as low as possible. Do what is just needed to push your dick that little bit more. Why make your routine harder and more punishing than it needs to be?

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, as they say.

And I am a medium is more kind of guy, at the moment. No doubt that will change as my dick gets more conditioned.

What I was wondering: does your case suggest thast, after the newbie period, time and intensity can run up a bit but tends to stay at a given level, despite the PE’ ancienty?

I mean, could one have the case to be a ‘less is more’ guy, but after X years he can become a ‘more is more’ kind?

I wish I was not so impatient so I could stop overdoing it and gain finally. I feel like I could do so much more than what my penis requires me to do, but i CANT or my eq drops to shit! Whatever, time for another week off after overdoing it again :(

I kept hoping that I would convert over from a “less is more” to a “more is more”, but it hasn’t happened…yet. Maybe another 4 years would do it? :)

A week is only necessary if you beat the crap out of your dick. If you just kinda’ over do it, wait until you get a more relaxed flaccid then you can begin again. The heavier, full flaccid indicates that the smooth muscle has gotten over the insult and has relaxed again. This is a good time to re-start.

Taking into account that you’ve claimed to be a scientist with some degree of physiological knowledge and more credibility than most members around here on physiological and scientific issues, I’d like to ask you the following questions:

1) What do you think is the physiological difference between the two kinds of PE’ers? What physically differentiates the less is more guy from the more is more?

2) How does it apply across the spectrum of known routines? Will the more is more guy necessarily be the same across the board with jelqing/pumping/clamping/hanging/etc? Do all excercises of a similar nature produce the same results for the same guy? For example.. since jelqing and clamping effect tissues in a similar way, will less clamping be more for the less jelqing is more guy? Will less hanging be more for the less manual stretching is more guy?

3) Being a hanger I’m especially interested in your thoughts on this subject as it applies to connective tissue stretching. I’ve heard arguments from both sides, but the truth seems to lie in the fact that tissues will heal, whether extended or not, and that healing extended is better for gains than healing turtled. Applying constant stress would be ideal. Does this relate to your conclusion, or is connective tissue stretching a different ballgame?

I think PE is a lot like weight training. I want to lift every day because it makes me feel like I am getting stronger, but I never will if I don’t give my muscles a chance to repair themselves.

In my opinion, you should be able to stretch at least every day. There’s not the same kind of repair to be done, plus you want to continually keep your dick extended. With jelqing and smooth muscle growth, however, it seems that the tissue would need more time to recover, just like other muscles. Which is while less is sometimes more.

We all probably repair our muscles and other tissues at different rates, so bottom line is that you need to find out what works for you.

True. But today I pumped for my 1st time and got a shit ton of tiny red dots because i think the pressure was too high. It was below 5hg and it felt good but maybe that was still too much. I get those red dots so fucking easily! Anyways, I havent had night wood/morning wood in a while and my penis is hanging flacid like it was pre-pe when I know it should be much fuller.

Should I just wait till night/morning woods come back before starting again?

Also even when my morning woods weren’t happening, I was still able to get a 10/10 erection when aroused by watching some porn. I still felt over trained during this time because my flaccid wasn’t hanging full. Whats up with that?

Those tiny dots slowly faded over the course of yesterday and are now completely gone less than 24 hours later. Still no night or morning wood and the unit is not “hanging” full or anything. Kinda small and feels tougher than usual.

I don’t mean to hijack this thread but I am seeing crazy weird things!

Last night I did not have wood as well as this morning as noted before, however my EQ today was RIDICULOUS! it was easily a 10/10 and was as big as it has ever been! I measured and I had gained about 2/8 of an inch and am back to where I was when I felt like I was gaining. I have no idea what to do because my night/morning woods are gone but I now have an AWESOME eq… maybe it was from the pumping yesterday and very light 25 jelqs after?

I will take the less is more approach today and lay off until I get some input from you all, or until i can make a good decision tomorrow. THanks guys!
