How developed is the science behind PE?
I got curious as reading through many posts, it seems like there are always new theories being thrown around or a breakthrough here and there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a workout master, but there seems to be pretty set and basic ways to work out your muscles (mass building, power training, endurance, strength, or weight loss). Yes, there are always new products coming out with claims, but the general formula to achieve any goal is pretty well known.
Why is it that we are still trying to figure out the best way to PE? I am seeing all these ideas of either low rest or high rest periods, low force or high force. Is it simply because PE is not widely discussed, therefore a very small test base? I just had to know, thanks.
