How developed is the science behind PE?

How developed is the science behind PE?

I got curious as reading through many posts, it seems like there are always new theories being thrown around or a breakthrough here and there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a workout master, but there seems to be pretty set and basic ways to work out your muscles (mass building, power training, endurance, strength, or weight loss). Yes, there are always new products coming out with claims, but the general formula to achieve any goal is pretty well known.

Why is it that we are still trying to figure out the best way to PE? I am seeing all these ideas of either low rest or high rest periods, low force or high force. Is it simply because PE is not widely discussed, therefore a very small test base? I just had to know, thanks.

I believe it is generally believed to be a taboo subject matter, primarily because it is not much of a priority for women. Women do not require a large phallus to reproduce or to climax and it is “more or less,” a topic of titillation left for porn movies.

People involved in the fruits of this labor become very creative in a quest for incremental size increases. As a result, you have a myriad of experimental exercise options. You will find it is difficult to become satisfied with any gain you achieve.

PE as it exists within forums such as this could be regarded as a “backroom science”. It has a lot of individual practitioners that share their information and results, but it has never entered, and probably will never enter into the mainstream scientific community that could award it any sort of acceptable legitimacy.

Remember that science in the classical sense is a discipline of thorough experimentation, documentation, and repeated results in a strict environment of controls. The results of that experimentation is then shared with the rest of the scientific community to repeat and verify it’s conclusions, thus awarding it proper legitimacy.

What you find here is a large group of clandestine individuals attesting to this or that results, with only themselves as the testbed of verification.
There is no control group. Repeatability of results has to be performed by some other individual on themselves - different physiology - no documentation of common conditions or differences. Without clear, verifiable knowledge of the conditions in each case, nobody can clearly determine the cause of any results, or that any claim to results was even actual. It is all here-say.

The scientific community will never embrace PE for 2 simple reasons. One is social stigma as mentioned in the earlier post, but more importantly, liability. Even if someone could produce clear, documented, repeatable results that can be medically explained, nobody would want to proliferate that knowledge on a professional and commercial basis. The potential for accidents and injury to such a sensitive area is huge, and wide open for medical malpractice law suits. Just look at all the posts and threads about personal injuries.

PE remains in the shadows with all the rest of the pseudo-scientific health fads and medical cures that some people swear by, others scoff at, but nobody can verify.

GREAT POST!

Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal: my strength lies solely in my tenacity.

Yeah right which is why phalloplasty is something you never hear about.

Thunder's Place: increasing penis size one dick at a time.

I think there is a bit too much faith in “science”. Weight training is a great example; the methods to success that worked 100 years ago work today, yet for some reason “science” has come up with wonderful excuses for people not to work hard, not to work full body movements, and not to use free weights. I think a lot of this feeds the demand for people who want results without dedication or discipline, with the same excuses (not wanting to risk injury and such).

Remember too that humans are individuals, and it is very unlikely we have a grasp on all of the variables that contribute to PE, and even if we did we probably don’t have great ways to easily measure them all.

Surely, Science is systematic and formulated knowledge. Therefore anything that has been scrutinised and data collected and collated is science in some measure or another. ie Natural science, applied science, pure science.

So PE is just as much a science as shown in these postings. The fact that it is a subject that is not discussed in ‘polite’ society does not prevent it from being a science. and having scientific rules and methods.

Exactly mate, PE is becoming too much ‘scientific thinking’ and covering all corners, not enough dick pulling.

No pain - No gain.

I think pretty soon we will be at the discover the wheel stage of penis enlargement.
