Well I just finished my first hanging session with the Wench and it really works well. I have always done manual stretching before and this is much easier.

While sitting there thinking about getting a bigger dick I remembered how I always wondered how much equivalent pull to weight I was getting when stretching manually.

I have now figured it out, I’m going to Walmart to get a fish weighing scale

to attach to the wench so I will know how much pressure to put when pulling on my pecker.(Try to say that fast three times.)

I won’t be able to hang at home I have to do it on the sly so this will be helpful.

I’ve noted that many guys are have trouble finding the components for making the wench. I found (a) the industrial strength Velcro and the Grippers (1”x4”) at Lowes, and (b) the clamps (both the package with the small and medium clamps, plus the large clamps singly in an open box) at Wal-Mart. I already had lots of 1” nylon strap on hand.

HINT: Probably the main reason I found the components so quickly is that I had printed out a copy of the picture wench_supplies.jpg (see Post #2 in this thread), and took it with me shopping, so it was easy for the salespeople to get a very good idea of what I was looking for — yep, a picture is still worth a thousand words!

I’ve used my wench four times in the last two days and am glad to report that it works great. I had been using a max of 10 lbs but acquired an extra 5 lbs when shopping for the wench, and the new total of 15 lbs hung very sweetly, with no great discomfort for at least 15-20 min. I wrap first with a 3.5” x 11” piece from old worn-out sweat pants, topped with 13” of 1.5” wide Theraband or 2” wide self-adhesive Futuro wrap (similar to the more popular Ace variety, but the Futuro has a bit more body to it and it only sticks to itself, not to your skin).

I still plan to keep using both of my Bib hangers, the granddaddies of them all, but I think the wench is a good alternate for variety and is much more portable. It is also easy to adjust, to put on and take off quickly, and to experiment with different kinds of wraps.

Hank

Even though I’m ordering the BIB I wanted to try this out. I found everything at WalMart by printing the supplies picture out and showing the reps what I needed.

So I came home and made the hanger, and did a good job for my lack of crafting ability. When i put it on I ran into a problem.

For some reason the clamp (I’m using the medium, the large looked way too big) doesn’t want to fit right, and I’m seeing that it’s explained I should be able to get a few clicks and on the first click it bunches the material up and pinches my skin.

I did make it according to the directions minus I’m using the circle Grippers since that’s all they had. It just seems like the material’s too thick and when i put the clamp on I have to force it into one click. That’s enough to bundle the velcro and pinch the skin.

It seems that even with a bigger clamp it will still do the same thing as I start tightening it.

Damnit! I want to hang so bad because these manuals aren’t doing anything for me except hurting the hell out of my hands. I need some length.

Hi aarzakk-

Are you using a wrap? I ask because a wrap should prevent any pinching. If you are are wrapping:
A. You may be wrapping too loosely - this might explain how it is even possible to “pinch” skin (Ive never experienced pinch w/ the Wench)
B. You may be using too much wrap material. Use as little as it takes to give the internal wench something to grab onto.

No need for exact numbers but is your personal girth what would be considered above or below average? (use 5” erect girth as an average)

These circle grippers you speak of - are they currently cut into the 1x2” rectangular shape?
What material is too thick - the grippers or velcro?

> It seems that even with a bigger clamp it will still do the same thing as I start tightening it.<

This makes me think that you need to become better adept at putting on the Wench. Revisit the instructions about properly applying a “squeeze-hand” etc. You should feel a nice hug on your shaft before you apply the clamp. Nothing about the wench should feel loose prior to clamping.

Don’t get frustrated. Experiment with the Wench - it’s good for that. Make another one if this one refuses to cooperate. I’m glad to hear you’ve ordered a production model Bib. It will be no less complicated than the Wench, I can assure you, but you will be a much wiser hanger once you’ve learned to use it. Paradoxically, once you understand the Bib I think you’ll see the Wench for what it is. I think WannaB9x7 excellently sums this up in the last paragraph of his post before yours.

Thanks

Not much to say here except thank you, guys. The feedback is appreciated. Let me know how things develop.

I tried with wrap and without. It seems that the device is too thick for the clamp after I have it on. I mean i cut out a 10” length and everything. But what happens is when i put the clamp on and then go to close it, the part of the wench on the top starts to fold and then pinches.

I am 5.5” and almost 6 (when I PE). I’d say an average of 5.5 or just slightly above.

The circle grippers weren’t cut. I just used them as is. They do grip good but it’s when i place the clamp on that i start having problems, and not with the area of the grippers.

Maybe i can take some snapshots. I know that the hanger is not commercial and don’t expect much as far as support; but if I can get some pictures on maybe you can see what’s going on.

15 pounds, and what do you get

Clear instructions, easy to find components if you have Wally and Lowe’s, fun to assemble and a thing of beauty. In fact, it’s so professional/therapeutic looking that my funky little duct-taped AFB is getting an inferiority complex :-0

But I haven’t seen any mention in the posts about how much weight people are hanging. Is anybody else trying to hang 15 pounds with a wench?

Well, I’ve completed mine, in the uk by the way if anyone needs info about products.. I’ve never hung before so today was my first set, only 5 pounds but pretty damn intense! I see why hanging is so popular for length gains. Anyway the wench worked a treat, I am uncut as well, but with help from the information in the wrapping tutorials as I wrapped right the wench proves mightily effective. I have no theraband so at the moment I am wrapping with a bandage & tape, however no problems have arised yet due to this so I think I might keep going this way. I’d just like to say thank you to the captn for such an amazing device. Also, if anyone in the uk or uncut wants info feel free to ask me, thanks a lot.

Vertical, see my post above (#183). I can hang 15 pounds for up to 15-20 minutes without too much discomfort, but until about a week ago I was only hanging a max of 10 pounds (which was all the weight I had at the time). I can do 15 pounds with either the Starter Bib or the Wench, so I alternate for variety because each grabs my dick in a different way.

Vertical-
One member - Stump - noted he was hanging 17lbs. But you make a great point: It will be interesting to see what people report at higher and higher weights.
As I’ve said, I personally have neither the hope nor intention of requiring those higher weights to realize my own length goals. Famous last words? Maybe - greed is one of the more popular of the seven deadly sins, no?
But anyone hanging really heavy direct weight should let us know how things hold up (by “direct” I mean weight uninterrupted by dowels, hooks, and other things commonly used in SO and OTS hanging).

Oops, sorry I missed that. I haven’t been able to get a comfortable hang with the Wench and 15 pounds, and when I went back and tried the AFB again I didn’t bother messing around with it any more. Maybe I could have wrapped more; I only use a single piece of bedsheet-thick material about a foot long with the AFB.

Wow, Vertical pretty quick change of heart! Tell you what: Since you have had so much success with your old AFB and you’re unable to handle change, I agree - stick with it. It’s served you well and it makes no sense to hide it away in some dark closet collecting dust. As my Grandpa used to say “Some people just can’t stay retired!” (Gramps was always good at pointing out the obvious - LOL!)
In my opinion, anyone interested in using the AFB should really go for it. It might be an old idea, but as Vertical has made very clear, it will be with us for a long long time to come.

Thanks Vertical and good luck!
(You should start a new AFB thread. Very few seems to be using it anymore and you might single-handedly start a renaissance! :) )

Aarzakk,

?? If I’m understanding you, there are circles being used instead of rectangles??
You need to cut those circle grippers into 1x2” rectangles. This is obviously the source of your “buckling” problem.
Revisit the instructions on constructing the Wench. And if the circle grippers won’t cut down to the proper proportions go back and see what’s been posted recently about wood rectangles (the PirateSteve post).
You have to use rectangles. Not circles.

Thanks
