I have looked at that study before, It’s odd how proliferation was high for strains of 15 and 60 mins but actually lower for a strain of 30 !

I decided to look for studies on the frequency of stretching again. Well, I found one about increasing hamstring flexibility.

Several studies have reported increased flexibility and ROM after stretching programs (1,12,13) and the present results support these findings. All groups improved muscle flexibility and hamstring tightness after the stretching program. Regarding flexibility gains, although there was no significant difference between G2 and G3, G2 presented the highest gain in flexibility when compared to the other two. This observation is clinically relevant, suggesting that stretching three times a week is sufficient to improve flexibility compared to stretching at a higher frequency. Accordingly, treatment time could be optimized.

I hope that this information is not a repost. I did find a study that involved monitoring hamstring flexibility, but it was done to compare cyclic loading to static loading.

Struggling with a peyronies injury during sex and loss of size after having been into PE.

What is you guys’ opinion on basic manual stretches (left, right, up, down, straight) that are done for >60 minutes?

I haven’t read through the whole thread but I read a couple of pages in the beginning. Since it literally has been years since then, I imagine more info has been uncovered. As of monday I’ve stretched > 60 minutes three days in a row. I plan on doing this every 4:th week, but still maintaining my JP90 routine as usual (5 on, 2 off, and yes I keep the stretches in that routine, too).

Is this sound? Is this stupid? What should I change?

As a general rule, the longer the better. I don’t know what JP90 is. :)

JP90 is a newbie routine that is very common over at PEGym.com, I thought it was common here too since the PE community is fairly small.

So as I understand that, I could even do MORE sessions of >60 min manual stretches and that would only benefit me?

If so, that sounds amazing. I’m very lucky in that I have a lot of “free time” on my hands, meaning I can literally sit in front of my computer or TV after 6PM and pull my dick for a couple of hours. I rather enjoy it actually, I have no problem with it whatsoever.

The only problem I see, is obviously the risk of this procedure being bad for me, as opposed to promoting gains!

Interesting thread. So can someone write a synopsis for me? I’ll add more to if I know what the consensus is currently.

Probably, yes, as long as you apply a gentle stretch there isn’t much danger of overwork.

You need rest, and time is more important than force, but force needs to be relative to your level of conditioning.

Cyclic stretching produces hyperplasia in collagen as well but the cycle must be > 3x per 10 sec (per one study I read). Vibrations, at a certain frequency, also causes cell division in collagen.

Here’s what I’ve taken from this thread but it is just my interpretation and I don’t claim it’s correct.

Stretching within the elastic limit = no damage, no recovery, no gains.

Stretching just at or slightly above the elastic limit collagen fibroblasts are signalled to make more collagen= no damage, minimal recovery, gains

Stretching too far above the elastic limit=progressive injury= need for recovery and repair with scar tissue, toughening, diminishing gains.

I think gains are a perfectly natural healthy process when you get the force level and time right but also exist within quite a narrow window.

I think I now have the stress levels correct, I’m now interested in what else I can do to speed up the process ?

Since time isn’t variable the only thing that is variable it seems to me is the intensity level.

Perhaps the “correct” intensity level for an individual falls within a range. Up the intensity within the safe range and I suspect it would speed up the process.

I’m curious, has anybody tested the longer rest times proposed in this thread and what were the results? E.g. regularly incorporating breaks of 3 days or more (multiple times each month). My dick is telling me it could be worthwhile to take 3 off more often. Currently I take a week off about once a month, but for the remainder of the month, my longest breaks are 2 days, and much more often only 1 day.

It reminds me of braindrain’s progress thread. He took a lot of extended breaks compared to most. Do any other big resters come to mind?

Here’s a personal account:

I’ve been posting here a while, I wasnt going to post about the
surgery I had until i was fully recovered. Anyways, anyone who has
been here a while should no my screen name….I’ve wanted to go to
every different doctor at one point or another. First Giunta for
the “laser” lengthening, then Reed cuz he was such a nice guy.
Anyways, I accidentally stumbled onto a doctors web site while I was
doing a google search. Dr. Lee Hang-Fu is who i went to for my
surgery. The reason I went to him, is because he is the only doctor
i could find who is doing a procedure that can possibly increase
your erect girth, not just flaccid. Anyways, how i found the doctor
is i did a google or yahoo search like I do every day for
phalloplsty and I got all the same results at the top, giunta reed
whitehead, TLE, so I just by chance skipped to like the 20th page of
results and saw a link to aestheticavenue.com…so i clicked on it
and read what it was. I read how the doc makes modifications to
your tunica to allow it to accomodate more blood. I had both done
at the same time….he did the lengthening traditionally, cut the
fundiform and suspensory ligament…but for girth what he does is
makes an incision longitudinally along the tunica albuginea. He
makes the incision in the tunica from just behind the glans all the
way to deep withing the pelvis. When this incision starts to heal,
it creates a scar tissue, that stretches with your erections. So
the more erections you get while you are healing, the farther the
scar will stretch and the thicker your hard-on’s get. It takes
anywhere from 6-12 months for the final result since the scar tissue
keeps expanding, cuz if you get frequent erections, you never really
give it a chance to heal firmly. I guess his typical results at 50%
to your ERECT DIAMETER…not CIRCUMFERENCE, but DIAMTER….thats how
he measures and I dont know why, so theoretically if you have a 2
inch erect diameter, you could feasibly end up with 3 inches of
erect diameter. I had the surgery about 5 weeks ago…you cant do
anything for a couple weeks after, cuz i had to have a drain to
drain the blood that pools up from cutting the tunica. I was
extremly swollen and bruised as you could imagine. It took a while
before i could get erections without alot of pain…but now that
i’ve been getting them, I’m already seeing a little girth increase
during erections. I’m going to start hanging weights(the grip)
while i sleep, and I bought a pump…so I will try and keep you all
up to speed. I went through with this because it just made sense to
me, and I know he isnt “reknown” for phalloplasty like whitehead or
reed, but I took a chance, and we’ll see how it goes. As of now,
i’m a little longer flaccid than normal, the incision scar is about
an inch and a half…and should shrink a little more when all the
swelling is completey gone. The doc actually gave me a prescription
for Cialis cuz he says he wants me to get an erection everytime the
wind blows. Even though i’m only 25 years old, he still gave me the
script. Hmm, what else….I know you’ll all not like the fact i
didnt take any pre op photos…but I can show you my post op photos
after I took the drain out…some nasty shit…my recovery was a lot
worse than just a regular lengtheing procedure…you’ll see the
photos. I wanted to wait till i saw some real results before
posting, but since i see signs of life in this board again, I
thought i’d chime in.

Essentially the daily stretching of not fully healed scar tissue is the key to it.
