When to start clamping?

I’ve been doing stretches and dry jelqs for 3.5 months. I wasn’t using heat for awhile and didn’t make any gains but it seems like I am now.

Anyways the stretches don’t feel painful anymore (was never doing it very hard to begin with) so is that an indicator that I could handle clamping?

Well I don’t think my girth gains are keeping up and I feel like I might be on track to a narrow/pencil shaped dick (as opposed to mushroom)

I’ve started holding my dry jelqs for longer at the end of the rep. That seems like a sensible intermediary between beginning PE and starting clamping.

I’ll keep doing the former for awhile, but still dry jelqs are kind of annoying because I need to be around 70-80% hard to do them well and I’m not really aroused when I do PE so I wish I could just get the chub going and not have to keep getting it back.

Best action to do is to re-apply heat to your routine. Heat is a must to avoid injuries and stimulate growth.

Clamping is a monster man, really intense stuff. Safer option is to start with “squeezes” to your routine, this exercise is lighter than clamping and targets girth.


Start 6.8” x 4.7” (4.9" BEG)

Latest 8.2” x 5.1” (5.3" BEG)

Clamping should be a last resort after you have exhausted the use of Ulis, Bends, Slinkys etc. Check out all the other girth exercises A Quickstart Guide to Manual Exercises

Once you start clamping, you may considerably reduce your ability to get gains from anything less severe.

BPEL 7 EG 5.5 NBPEL 6.5 Flaccid length 4.5. Started Jan 2015 at bpel 6.5 nbpel 6.0 and eg 5.2 flaccid length was 3.5

I have reached my goal. At least for now.

Are Ulis more than dry jelqs with an overhand ok grip? I know you recommend volume over intensity but it’s just hard for me to get the volume in with those.

If you watch the videos in the link I provided, you will see the difference. Ulis don’t lend themselves to high volume, so add them to your stretch/jelq routine as a synergistic adjunctive exercise.

I’m having trouble finding it. The first time I looked I found one called something like “Uli’s #3” and it was just dry jelqing I think. Now I’m not sure where I found that and all I see is “Uli’s routine” that doesn’t contain what an Uli is.

I went to google and looked up on other pages what it is and I see that it’s essentially a short duration clamp?
