Jelqing has destroyed my life A warning.

The presenter is researching a penis enlargement exercise called “jelqing”. I’ve had a couple of beers and I’m watching this programme and I decide to give it a go. I can’t say I was ever “unhappy” with my penis size (3.5ins flaccid, 6.5in hard), I just did it out of curiosity (and a touch of vanity) more than anything. So I got some lube, got about 2/3 erect and did about 20 “jelqing”strokes stopping before I touched the gland. And this is the point that my life changed forever. Immediately I noticed my penis and scrotum were less sensitive than before, about 80% less sensitive! Also, when I let my penis go flaccid again it looked different, there was a vein on the left side of the shaft that wasn’t there before and the vein on the top of the shaft seemed to have shifted to the side a bit. Also my penis hung to the left more than it did prior and was smaller both in length and girth.

Fast forward 11 months and there has been no change in the state of my penis. The shaft of my penis and scrotum remain numb, my penis in it’s flaccid state is now an inch smaller in length and about half an inch smaller in girth. I struggle to get an erection (something I never had a problem with before) and keeping hold of one is very difficult (I go from erect to completely flaccid in about 30secs if I don’t concentrate), I don’t know how much smaller my erection has got because I haven’t had an erection long enough to really compare.

In a word my life has been destroyed. I am now on anti-depressants and have broken up from my girlfriend of two years due to this. I was once a happy guy who enjoyed life, I now spend my days waiting to go back to sleep so I can forget everything. I recently saw a urologist who said he doesn’t know what I’ve done and can’t give me an answer to my problems. I was thinking of suing the “Extreme Male Beauty” programme as they featured no warning of the possible consequences of this exercise but decided this would be too embarrassing considering the subject.

All this because I “jelqed” 20 times. So my advise to all of you on this board would be, fuck your penis size! Trust me, it’s not worth it. It looks like I’ve ruined my penis for life and I’d hate this to happen to someone else. Be happy with what you’ve got, penis size inferiority is an entirely male created problem! Women love you for who you are and the children you can give them, something I may not get the chance to experience now. So stop the jelqing and whatever else you are doing to your penis and enjoy your health, if you’ve got that you’re completely blessed .

Thanks for reading.

A wild guess here. Bear with me. Is it possible that you did a temporary injury, it healed but the medication is causing your erectile problem? Antidepressants are notorious for causing erectile dysfunction, like 40 percent or higher of people on antidepressants have trouble obtaining and maintaining erections as well as ejaculation. I don’t know how soon after your injury that you started on medication which causes erectile problems. Note do not stop antidepressants suddenly as they can produce withdrawal symptoms. I am not telling you to stop the pills but saying that it is something to consider and to discuss with your doctor. A lot of people hit the bottle (alcohol) when they get depressed, which can cause erection problems. I may very well be wrong and apologise if I am, just trying to help. I hope your situation improves.

Squats have destroyed my life. A warning.

It’s May 2009 and I’m watching a programme on Uk TV called “Extreme Bodybuilding”. The presenter is researching a bodybuilding exercise called “squat”. I’ve had a couple of beers and I’m watching this programme and I decide to give it a go. I can’t say I was ever “unhappy” with my body size I just did it out of curiosity (and a touch of vanity) more than anything. So I get some weights, about 1000 pounds of them, and tried to lift them. The weight dropped on my head and it went numb. And this is the point that my life changed forever.

Conclusion: bodybuilding is bad for you.

Owen, no matter how hard you try and how many facts you point out, you will never convince some people. I know you are correct, because I have experienced some terrible changes to my penis after attempting PE for a very short amount of time at the end of January and early February. To not be called a troll right away, I did join the discussion in the firm flaccid penis forum. I am not going to deny the fact that PE worked for many members here, but it is also true that there are people that did terrible damage to their penises and may have to live with the consequences the rest of their lives. I fear this may be the case for me.

I did see a urologist very soon after this happened and he was the rudest doctor I have ever met in my life. He did say one very interesting quote though, “The penis is a very unique organ. Be careful with it.” Even though I believe he was a very inconsiderate urologist, his quote is so very true. The penis is unique in the sense that it is different for everyone. The size and hardness, of course, are different, but so is the toughness and tolerance and durability of the penis among different people. PE works for some people, because their penis can take more of a beating or more of a workout than others’ penises. I had a feeling my penis would not be a good candidate for PE, because I started out smaller than most members here, but decided to try PE, because it seemed like it was a safe way to enlarge my penis. I hate to compare PE at all to enhancement phalloplasty, but I think the bottom line is the same: It works very well for some, but simply does not work and does harm to others.

Now, 6 months later, I am sitting here with a penis that no longer functions the way it used to. It is truly devastating for me, especially because I am young and in college and should be enjoying sexual adventures, but now I may not get to. My only hope is that I am magically restored (I know that doesn’t happen, but I can only hope.) or some medical breakthrough comes along in the next couple decades (which could very well happen).

Back to the main point here though, the integrity of the penile tissues is different for everyone. However, there is no way to detect these subtle differences (at least in this day and age). That is why we will continue to see PE work so well for so many, but permanently injure some as well. I am happy that this forum has set guidelines and allows for open, factual debate.

For prospective PEers in the future, talk with people that have been successful with PE and people that have had trouble and ask specific questions about these successes and failures. I am off now and pray that things get better for me and other injured members. I also hope gains continue to come for those that have found success with PE. Everyone please keep an open mind though about PE. I would likely be promoting PE like crazy and willing to offer help had it worked for me, but this just isn’t the case. Keeping both sides in mind is essential.

Sorry to hear about your problems (I have personally damaged my unit in many ways and know what it’s like from;

From hanging behind the head (just once - didn’t know what I was doing) and pulling it out of it’s round shape permanently - I had numbness for a day or two from that and was scared to death.

Made the lymph glands or drainage veins ‘pop out’ with a holds - they still pop out sometimes randomly - was so scared when that first happened didn’t know wtf I’d done.

Caused a permanent over curve/ bend in the shaft from doing V stretches (peyrones? Scared tissue?) It used to be straight with a slight upwards curve but became VERY heavily curved upwards after that (I HATE the curve and wish it was straight)

Ruptured the shaft in 3 places from doing holds too hard - instead of the shaft being smooth there became smooth with these bumps like bee stings where the tissue had ruptured outwards - looked bad but this was years ago and now hardly noticeable at all. Hurt like hell for a while then like my dick was on fire and the covers at night touching it hurt it more.

To a discoloured scar on the glans by another hold (done loads of holds, usually they are fine but it just takes one, once to f##k something up.

And even more besides..

Recently I have gotten two messy patches of skin discolouration which started out as blood spots merging together from doing stretches (always before they went away within a few days but these look different and have not gone away in 2 months or more and counting which I am trying to deal with, I KNOW that it is possible to hurt yourself by doing something JUST ONCE).

So to you guys who think it’s not possible or trolling when a guy screws himself up - who cares what you think?! Go attack someone else and have a nice life, maybe these things don’t happen to you and are impossible in YOUR ESTIMATION - Well more power to you brother, you are blessed, for those with a more open and understanding (I might even say scientific) mind - I think these things are valuable to discuss NOT to deter other guys but to UNDERSTAND what may go wrong from time to time with SOME men in order to avoid it in future through a greater understanding and education of PE.

I am all for PE, even though I have gained NOTHING in all the years I have done it (I have a seriously thick, seriously uncooperative ‘cord’ on top of my dick which absolutely resists any lengthening at all so far. Everything combined actually makes me VERY depressed *I am clinically under major depression and close to suicide moment to moment and day to day)

HOWEVER, I am not here to attack PE - I think it can be a great tool (I just wish to god it worked for ME as well) I hope PE continues and benefits men and the more we know and understand the better (perhaps starting with the acknowledgment in the MASSIVE role genetics play *such as ‘cordedness’. Anyway, I am not here to fight so please don’t.

Willy wonka -

What did you use for lubricant?

How much did you use?

Did you warm your penis up first in a shower or bath or something?

I suppose we are trying to conclude a few things here - What exactly went wrong with your case - so we have at least two elements to consider;

YOUR own genetics

The FACTS - what you EXACTLY did - all details are relevant at first

WHY and HOW these things manifested themselves - in injury to your body (was it ignorance of technique and practices? Foolishness? A mix, what?)

HOW can your injury be best remedied

Hi Valk.

Thanks for your understanding words.

May I ask you a question though? If you’ve done all that to your penis, injured it so many times, why on earth would you continue with these penis enlargement exercises? I mean, I’ve damaged myself very badly jelqing just the once, I probably won’t ever recover from it by the looks of things and I can’t describe how much it has torn apart my enjoyment of life I feel and act like a completely different person, but, god-willing, if I do I can’t ever imagine ever doing any kind of PE again.

I’ve come across this a few times on here, people saying “If I recover from injury, I’d still like to continue PE”. It blows my mind. Again, with respect Valk, if I had got numbness “for one or two days” like you did with your first injury, I would’ve taken it as a massive warning sign and would never have stretched my penis again for as long as I live. What made you continue?

Thanks again for your thoughtful post btw.

That’s quite frankly, a moronic post.

You think 30 “jelqs” is the equivalant to doing a 1000lb squat do you?

Maybe someone should amend the “Starters Programmes” I’ve seen on here then?

Secondly, from my original post, what exactly did I do that is the equivilent of dropping 1000lbs of weight on my head whilst squatting?

30 jelqs are maybe equivalent to 3 reps of squat. 1000 lbs squat is X force applied with your grip when doing jelqs. The pont he’s making is that maybe incorrect technique/excess of force could be responsible. But the example stands this way also: let’s say you try a 50 lbs squat and your back craks, you become paralized : is the squat to blame, or is that you had some previous problem in your back that before or after would had come out?

1)Exactly.

2)This is a question you should have asked yourself before starting to apply pressure on your cock

I should have asked myself this, yes.

But at the time I was watching a programme where the presenter was happily pulling away at his penis with a smile on his face with no pre-warning of any potential injuries this may cause or admission of any problems after he had done it.

What he was doing looked completely harmless, it looked like he was simply masturbating one way. So I thought “that looks harmless, what the hell”. In retrospect I was absolutely foolish and should’ve researched it a helluva lot better. But saying that had I come on here and said “I’m going to try 30 Jelqs” how many of you would’ve said “Noooo don’t, it’ll give you permanant erectile dysfunction, shrink your penis and make it go numb”? The answer is “not many”. I bet you wouldn’t have, Cocacoc.

I spoke to a urologist who said “I can’t understand how that has done such damage. In the medical community we see people do some horrific things to their genitals but I have never heard of anyone damaging themselves by simply ‘pulling’ their penis.” I’ve yet to see another case on here of someone who has hard/flaccid, numbness and, potentially, venous leakage after doing this exercise for 30 repetitions once!

This appears to be just massive bad luck and jelqing just wasn’t for me. And with respect, cocacoc, smartasses like yourself trying to tell me I was in the wrong for trying this and I should’ve predicted such a catastrophic end result beforehand are unnecessary and unwelcome!

I have done dangerous things to my penis myself, so I’m with your urologist. So (sorry if you said it earlier and I missed) he doesn’t know what actually happened? A broken vein or what? And what is his prediction about healing?

cocacoc

If a member here has a problem, then he posts here to try and get some help. He does not want to hear smart-ass ridicule.

I would like to know this too. Did they spot anything that had happened? There must be something.

I am currently seeing an eminent Uro in London but considering he is so renowned in the field it’s an expensive and lengthy process.

I have done only one test so far, a Nighttime Tumescence Study last weekend which showed I do get nightime erections (I knew this so the test was a bit pointless. My problem is keeping hold of an erection when awake. When I wake up with an erection it starts to subside as soon as I open my eyes and is gone within 30 seconds of me waking!).

I will undergo an MRI and Ultrasound with injections (Cavernosogram?) next and he has put me on a one month course of Cialis to see what effect that has.

Sounds like a psyhoclogical factor is involved. Keep us updated.

I disagree, Marinera (thanks for your replys btw).

I could’ve got an erection on my deathbed prior to jelqing! I’ve never had any kind of ED before in my life prior to doing this.

I think the different physical condition I am in when sleeping has more to do with it (e.g. Lower Heart Rate) than some kind of psychological factor. I actually spent the first year of this injury upbeat and comfortable that it would heal and was only temporary yet I was still struggling to keep hold of an erection.

I don’t think it’s quite as simple as “you’re getting erections in your sleep but can’t keep hold of one whilst you’re awake, it must be a psychological issue.”
