Can you pump for too long?

Can you pump for too long?

Hey guys, can you pump for too long? Currently, I’m warm-water pumping non stop for about two hours a day, three to four days a week. The water is kept warm with an IR lamp and I have no idea of what pressure is applied. However, I’m only pumping until I am about 1.5 to 2.0 cm short of full BPEL, i.e. 16.5 to 17 cm (the cylinder is graduated to 20 cm). While the pump is meant for air, I’m using water and hope the few metal parts don’t rust too quickly — anyway, I’m reasonably successful at keeping water out of it. Any comments, please? Right now, my EQ is crap and I suspect I’m overdoing it.

You answered yourself perhaps? :)

I’d recommend you give it a break for a couple of days until your EQ returns. This is one of the perils of pumping; it feels good and makes us huge. It’s easy to over do it. Remember marathon, not sprint.

Happy gaining!

Yes, you can pump too long. Indicators are a lot of edema and dropping EQ. Keep your EQ fairly high and edema low.

Second, you don’t need to use the pump to water pump, just the cylinder and its hose.

Suck on the hose until you reach the appropriate length inside the tube (mark it with nail polish, when you find the length you get the best results at or the proper vacuum level). When you get to the appropriate mark (LUV or length under vacuum) disconnect the hose, it will hold the vacuum.

Reconnect and draw more water if your penis drops below the desired LUV. When your time is up, just reconnect the hose and release the vacuum.

Take a couple of days off until your EQ returns to normal and start with much shorter sets, avoiding large amounts of edema and keeping EQ at a reasonable level.

If you find your best results come from an LUV of 1/2 inch less than your bpfsl, then every day before you pump, measure bpfsl and draw an LUV to 1/2 that mark.

As your bpfsl increases, so will your LUV.

Good luck.

Thanks for that sparkyx. Most appreciated. Two questions, though. You say:

Surely, if I disconnect the hose, air will rush into the cylinder and the vacuum will be lost?

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what is bpfsl (bone pressed ? ? length)? My cylinder is graduated, do I don’t need to mark it. Right now, I’m pumping to about 1.5 to 2.0 cm short of bpel (bone pressed erect length), i.e 16.5 to 17.00 cm. Is that OK?

Thanks,

Rick

No, if its working properly, you disconnect and it seals.

Bpfsl is BONE PRESSED FLACCID STRETCHED LENGTH.

1.5-2.0 Cm is a good starting point. I find about shorter LUV is better for girth and longer is better for length gains. Experiment and see what works best for you.

Probably 20-30 minutes is plenty/ day. Try that and see if EQ comes up. It should, and if it does, just stay with 20-30 min/day for a couple weeks and see if bpfsl comes up. If it does, then increase LUV by that same amount. So if bpfsl increases 3 mm, then up the LUV by 3 mm…and so on.

If you pump daily and are making good progress, then take one week off every 6 weeks, if progress slows.

Good luck

What he said. Yes, you are overdoing it. Take a de-con break and come back to 3-4 20 minute sets 3 times a week. Jelq in between sets.

Is pumping like stretching where gains in LUV would correspond to gains in BPFSL, which should at some point yield a gain in BPEL?

I want to know because I plan to start pumping, and I want only to go for length at first, until I hit at least 8 BPEL.

4/2008 Bpel 6.50, Beg 5.5, Mseg 4.9

6/2008 Bpel 6.75, Beg 5.5, Mseg 5.1

9/2008 Bpel 7.00, Beg 5.5, Mseg 5.1

Thanks guys. I think I know what to do now. Most appreciated.

sparkyx, you said:

Mine does not. If I disconnect it, air rushes in and the pump is lost. I guess we have different systems, eh? And I’ll swap to measuring bone pressed flaccid stretched length, less 1.5 to 2.0 cm. Thanks for that.

Also, I’ll follow your timing suggestions, starting with nothing tomorrow.

Water pumping LUV corresponds more closely to BPEL but even more so! BPFSL really only stretchs the tunica length wise, not girth wise, therefore the extra “slack” can translate into longer length. This is why most guys get a longer bpfsl than bpel. When you pump, especially water pump, your tunica is stretch not only to its max length wise, but also girth wise. So I personally find that taking LUV out to bpel dimensions corresponds to a fairly high vacuum if you don’t use a gauge, which I don’t use for water pumping.

Thats why I recommend about 1/4” LESS than bpel for length pumping, and about 1/2” less than bpel for girth pumping. I use about 3/4-1 inch less of my bpfsl for girth pumping. BUT these are only recommended starting points, you guys have to find your own ideal based on your tunica elasticity.

What I found is that bpfsl increases does’t always lead to increases of bpel. Water pumping for me caused my bpel to begin to catch up with my bpfsl, or you could say that increases in MAX LUV does correspond to increases in bpel. However, this in TRUE increases in max LUV and not increases due to too high vacuum for too long of a time resulting in edema. Thats not a true increase, rather just fluid making your LUV look longer.

Some guys draw max LUV with water pumping and do very well with that. If you can tolerate that, and you don’t get drops in EQ or a lot of edema, thats ideal because it will be increase both length and girth at the same time. I find that for me to really see girth changes, I need about 30 minutes in the tube. 30 minutes at high vacuum for me will cause tons of edema. So, for me, I do girth pumping at about 1/2 inch less than bpel or about 3/4 inch less than bpfsl.

Length work doesn’t require that much time for me, so I can pull a longer LUV, which translates into a higher vacuum, but I can use shorter sets to get the job done.

Water pumping generates tremendous pull in both length and girth, and has a much lower bad effect on the skin and blood vessels. You really need to give it a go for about 2 weeks and judge for yourself. IF you have the regular male-female coupling on your cylinder, you should be able to disconnect and it seals off, so you don’t need expensive equipment, just draw to the proper LUV and then disconnect it. Reconnect to either draw additional water out or to release the vacuum.

Thanks sparkyx. I’ll rest a few days then follow your suggestions — 1/2 inch less than bpel, initially 20-30 minutes per day, four to five days per week. Most appreciated. I’ll measure it by EQ and edema, trying to minimise negative effects on both.

And no, I cannot disconnect my pump without loss of pressure. It’s the system I’ve got. Oh well!!
