Bathmate Users -- how do you manage pressure?

No that’s not the valve but let them send you a replacement anyways so you have one on hand if the current one stops working.

Bubbles coming up from the bottom is most likely just a bad seal.

Are you using the comfort pad under the bellows?
The bathmate entrance isn’t flat where it presses against you, it has that bend to help pump at a comfortable angle. I have found in many cases if the comfort pad is twisted at all, I have trouble getting vacuum to hold. Air slips in between the bellows and comfort pad if that makes sense. It is a slow leak tho, not like a bad seal on the skin which bubbles pretty fast.

Pumping without comfort pad and getting leak could just be saggy sack skin or too much pube stubble to make a good seal.

Hope this helps

Also, check where you’re placing the bathmate as far as up or down on your pubic area. I find the best feeling pull with the least discomfort on the pubic bone area is if I try to center my unit in the tube rather than have the bottom of the tube touching the underside of my dick or having the top touching the top of my dick at the base.

Putting the pump right against the top of my dick at the base resulted in greater glans expansion at the cost of some suspensory ligament discomfort and light strain. All of the ligament stretching occuring on the top of my dick was restricted by the pressure being placed on it by the pump seal if that makes sense.

Figuring this out was a learning curve for me and I actually had to shave my pubes quite a bit higher above my dick to get a good seal and comfortable pull.

I know this is pretty basic but check your pubes and make sure there are no folds in your sack skin under the bathmate opening when you put it on

Thanks for the info. I have shaved I have the new valve. I understand exactly what you mean about placing the penis directly center in the tub.

What I did was I took off the cushion pad that presses against the pubic bone. I slid the bathmate back through but I’m unable to slide the grey comfort cushion all the way to the bottom of the bathmate. It works though and it is sealed pretty well.

Have you ever taken the bottom comfort cushion off ur pump? It’s very hard to get back on exactly how it was before.

Yeah, I’ve pumped both ways in the past. With the grey comfort pad and without.

Without, it pumps really well and the vacuum feels different in a good way but its harder for me to get a good seal so I use the comfort pad. I only pump erect and fumbling around with not being able to get a good seal usually makes me lose my erection. So I pump with the comfort pad.

I don’t have much trouble getting the comfort pad back into place tho. Mine has a little line that protrudes from the sleeve and one that protrudes from the bellows to help line them up just right. I just push the comfort sleeve into the bathmate and twist it as I push to get it lined up.

My bathmate won’t hold vacuum if there’s too much air in the top by the valve rather than water being pumped out of the unit when I compress and release the bellows.

So when I fill the bathmate up with water, I fill it up and then pull the comfort pad out the let the air out from underneath it if that makes sense? I do that to minimize the air in the bathmate so when I apply that first pump with it, there is minimal compression of the bellows before water runs thru the valve to help get a seal.

Less compression = less vacuum on the initial pull to get a seal

Yes I do understand what you mean. I have used the comfort pad that slips in and had lined it up with the dash and all that. But what I meant is I completely pulled off the rubber base from the plastic tube… entirely. So it’s straight plastic now. No grey rubber gasket at all.

Oh dang, that’s lame. I would let customer service know that it was faulty. Hopefully they send you a new one. If not you may be able to jimmy rig a comfort sleeve up to go on the plastic tube

It’s actually okay. I shoved the tube through the cushion (like you do with your penis) and it is almost back to its normals spot. Maybe 3/4 of an inch off. It actually works quite the same. So I am not too worried about it.

I pulled it off on my own like a dummy. When I was trying to see how it all worked and where the leak came from. But after I put the replacement valve in it works pretty well.

Hows your go with the bathmate going?

Also anyone have a mint coupon code for an x40extreme?

Great. The bathmate is really good. Low pressure or high.

Are you bathmate users pumping close to your BPEL on the bathmate gauge? I’m not concerned if the measurement on the bathmate is correct while in use but just trying to gauge how far you guy are pumping your dicks? For example, I’m very slightly over 6.75in BPEL. I routinely pump to the 6.5in mark on my hydro extreme 7. I’ve only gone as high as the 6.75in mark once for about 1-2 mins near the end of my daily pumping session and I got a minor donut that time, so now I just stick going to 6.5in max most sessions. My usual routine is two 7.5 minute sessions (1-2 minute rest in between) per day; 5 days on/two days off. Am I pumping too high? It usually takes a good 8-10 pumps (I use the handball pump) to reach the 6.5 mark.

When I received mine a few months back in December I would pump super high all the time. And I would try to push the length marker each time. I think it was a little hard on my dick but definitely helped. I had to back off.

Right now I’m doing medium light pumping after my clamping. This is how I use the pump and when I use it.

1 set 10 min clamping. Right into
1 set 10 min medium light pumping (4.5inch-5.5inch mark)
Low volume jelquing. Maybe 3-4 min?

I do this one day
2nd day rest.
Repeat.

I’m starting to see that 5 days a week is too much for me.

That seems like very low pumping pressure. The pumping is my only form of PE so maybe that’s why I feel the need to pump fairly high.

Yeah exactly man. I don’t emphasize the pumping right now. When I do I pump high and try to get close to my BPEL. But I’m not the one to ask. There were a few things I said I was doing and then I was advised against. Try to see what a moderator or senior memeber says.

Just to clarify, when you say “pumping high” does this mean you continue to increase the vacuum pressure until your penis reaches a designated length?

It does not appear to me that you are using a vacuum pressure gauge in your pump system.

If this is accurate, then I have several safety concerns with your process.

From a procedure perspective, we strongly recommend that everyone pumping has a gauge in their system. The gauge is the only way to be consistent in your pumping program. We commonly describe pump programs as time and vacuum pressure, often -3inHg or -5inHg.

From a safety perspective monitoring your PI’s is critical for risk reduction and preventing injuries. One PI is how your penis is responding to your PE activities. A common response to over work or over stressing the penis is for it to “turtle up”, or reduce in size. If your pump program is to increase vac pressure until you reach a designated penis length when your penis is turtling, then more vac pressure is required to do so.

Too high vac pressure can result in edema and ‘red spots’ and if those are ignored and you continue under pressure can result in fluid blisters and bleeding. These last two can take weeks to recover from. Other injuries can also result from this poor practice. Can you say “ruptured blood vessels”?

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Great post and great advice 32quarters. Unfortunately I think it will fall on deaf ears. But a great post to those of us in the know!
