Bathmate Users -- how do you manage pressure?

Bathmate Users -- how do you manage pressure?

A few of us have been speculating in other water pumping threads about the bathmate:

http://www.bathmatestore.com/

There is a lot of appeal for me because:

— it is discrete
— it is an all-in-one solution for water pumping

What we can’t figure out is how you manage pressure with it.

Many of the water pumping vets who use "standard" pumps say that it is really important to watch your pressure when you water pump as it is easy to go too high.

So how do you bathmate guys deal with this, as it does not appear the bathmate has a gauge?

The Bathmate website also says how “water pressure isn’t equal to air pressure” and its a lot more strain. Just thought I would add this in.

that looks like a complete gimmick. No pressure control on a site that uses a cartoon to demonstrate it so no evidence of gains either. Looks more like a masturbatory aid. For that price, you could get a good pump off ebay. Doesn’t seem anymore discreet than any other pump. My magnum pump came in a discreet case that goes under the bed. I don’t have it on the bathroom shelf.

I mean, you’re not going to use it in the locker room are you!

7"would be heaven, 8"would be great, 9" would be damn fine!

HA HA! Only if my town opens a Penis Enlargement gym…

It does look like a horrible toy, On the other hand I know there are a few guys who do have them and swear by them.

I’ve got one, I’m really pleased with it I use it in with my routine so I cant really tell if its contributing to gains.

I think with the pressure you have to be the judge and not go over board.

Thebishop - that’s really helpful. I just found the “instructions for use” summary. It seems as if it is designed so that you can’t overpump. Does that sound about right?:

How to use the bathmate

1) Fill the bath with water

2) Once your in the bath put the Bathmate under the water until it completely fills full of water, then whilst it is under the water put your penis inside it.

3) Push the bathmate down towards the pelvis area several times until you create a vaccum. You should start to feel the pressure building up. Surplus water starts to be realeased from the pressure release valve at the top of the bathmate. You may have to pump it down four of five times until no more water comes out the pressure release valve.

4) Once you cannot pump down any further just relax for 5 mins. Whenever you cannot pump the Bathmate down any further this is the optimum vaccum at that particular time.

5) Every 4 or 5 minutes try pump down again. As your penis is expanding this will force excess water from the top of the Bathmate everytime you pump down. But you will always reach a point where you cannot get any more pump.

6) Pump the Bathmate to its optimum vaccum when you feel necessary. This is the stage where no more water comes out the end when you try pump down.

7) If you feel the pressure is too much just lightly press the pressure release at the top of the Bathmate. This will release pressure. After 15 to 20 minutes release the pressure by pressing the pressure release at the top of the Bathmate and take the unit off. Do this stood up in the bath so you can see the results straight away. You wont be dissapointed

8) We recommend between 15 to 20 minutes per session. Use the unit as often as once a day but no less than three times a week for best results.

Yeah that sounds about right!

6) Pump the Bathmate to its optimum vaccum when you feel necessary. This is the stage where no more water comes out the end when you try pump down.

I found that this is to much pressure for me I rarely do it to this pressure, maybe once a week then the other times I have it at mid range pressure, I read in another post that less pressure for longer is better for gains!

I use the ruler on the top to gauge the pressure by pumping it to the same height most times!

Yes, lower pressure is much better for me with air pumping.

That is brilliant! Thanks for that tip …

So in my case I would

— air pump to my standard 3.0HG
— “memorize” the feeling
— switch to the bathmate and reproduce the feeling
— make note of the ruler mark on the bathmate cylinder and aim for that most times

Yeah thats the way I would do it.

How do you compare your air pump to the bathmate? I have only ever used the bathmate.

Have you gained much with the air pump / routine that you do?

I only pumped consistently for about 2 or 3 months. I attribute my girth gains in my stats below to that period. I loved pumping, I thought it was a great exercise, and I found it very calming and relaxing. I had to stop for privacy reasons but am wanting to start up again.

I don’t have a bathmate yet.

Guys who have done both water pumping and air pumping say that you get more uniform pressure from water than air, and therefore get more uniform expansion of your penis in the cylinder. That plus having constant heat sound like real advantages to me. They also say that the post pumping flaccid last much longer with water pumping. When I come out of the air pump, my flaccid is nice and long and fat. But it doesn’t stay that way for very long. Water pumping guys say that the flaccid pump last for several hours to a day. I can’t help but think that that would promote growth.

sta-kool and I have been trying to figure out a way to manage the pressure when using the Bathmate. I am very interested in water pumping, and specially in that particular device as it sounds so easy to use, so “hands-free”, so comfortable. And that would probably save me a lot of time as I could link that to one of my daily tasks: bath.

This is what we’ve been talking about.

1 - is it possible to “memorize” the feeling, as you’ve suggested, while using the air pump, and reproduce the feeling while using the “Bathmate” ? Being two different things, is it possible that the two feelings may be completely different? I’ve never tried water pumping, so I really do not know.

2 - Maybe the pressure applied on the penis is different when using the both systems (water/air pumping). Maybe you need 10” Hg in the Bathmate to feel the same as when you pump at 4” or 5” Hg with your conventional pump. There may be a huge discrepancy here, in my opinion.

3 - The most reliable “technique” would be, in my opinion, the height you reach in the tube. I know exactly how long I am in the tube when I pump at 3”Hg for 1 or 2 minutes. It is always the same. Maybe we can reproduce that length on the “Bathmate”. Once in a while, there may be the need to try the air pumping, pump for that same amount of time, same pressure, and check for gains. If you gain 1/2” more, then you reproduce that length on the “Bathmate”.

Sounds confusing?

I really wouldn’t know how to do it, and I’d probably just throw 90 dolars to the garbage!

I wouldn’t want to risk damaging the device. ;)

I mean, couldn’t you just attach the gauge at the top, and then when you squeeze down, the water would go through the gauge and be locked inside, and it would tell you the pressure?

That particular gauge is, in fact, a pressure gauge, and we are looking to measure vacuum, so I don’t think that gauge would work.

I think it would be difficult to adapt any kind of gauge to the Bathmate, but if there was a vacuum gauge that could tolerate water, that could make pumping with an ordinary pump and cylinder easier. You can water-pump right now with your cylinder and pump; it is the gauge that is at risk without some type of fluid trap in-line.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.
