Hi Ectospasm.

In the andropenis instruction they have two routines you can choose from. A ‘standard routine’ and a ‘special routine’. The standard routine is pretty much as it sounds, just a normal routine where you wear the device 8+ hours a day whilst slowing increasing the amount of rods over time. The special method is for guys who can’t feasibly wear the extender for 8-9 hours a day, so instead the routine compromises length worn per day and instread prioritises a rapid increase of traction.

This is what another user has said about the difference between the standard the special method:

Standard Method: 9 Hours daily months 1-6

Measured Erect length @ 15cm (5.9 in)

Personal/Initial Start Length = 11cm (4.3in) [start by -4cm of erect length]

2 week Adaptation Period: add 1cm total [now @ 12cm (4.7in)]

Month 1 & 2 Initial Phase: add 4cm total [now @ 16cm (6.3in)]

Month 3 & 4 Intermediate Phase: add 3cm total [now @ 19cm (7.5in)]

Month 5 & 6 Final Phase: add 2cm total [now @ 21cm (8.3in)]

Basically, I’m worried that the rapid increase of traction might damage my penis. I’m now stretching 1.5cm over the NPBEL and it’s beginning to be quite uncomfortable.

I see. I think the veterans here would agree you should back off or slow it down to achieve more comfort. If you are having discomfort while not in the extender-stop. Avoidance of injury is paramount.

That is what is my brain is telling me but at the same time I wouldn’t call it painful, just uncomfortable and I expect that using an extender is supposed to be uncomfortable as it is effectively creating trauma in the penis so it can repair itself. I found the same user in my above post added this:

Another interesting note is the amount of TRACTION FORCE as well.

TRACTION FORCE: 600 grams (1.3 pds) = 4cm less than erect length
800 grams (1.8 pds) = same as erect length
1000 grams (2.2 pds) = 2cm more than erect length
1200 grams (2.6 pds) = 4cm more than erect length
1500 grams (3.3 pds) = 6cm more than erect length

I’m only 1.5cm over my NBPEL but I’ll be adding another 0.5cm in afew days and I’ve only been using the extender 28 days. I don’t think adding another 0.5cm will be necessarily painful, it’s just that I seem to be very close to my maximum stretching at the moment, so I’m not even sure another 0.5cm is possible right now. Plus I’m not sure if 1000grams is really considered much in the PE community.

I might have to make a thread about this as my situation is quite different from other extender users.

In what way? It may be helpful to others giving advice if we know what makes your situation unique.

Also, I see from the studies on the andropenis.com site, the typical traction force used was 600gm which gave gains of 1.2-1.9cm. If that’s all it takes 1000gm may be unnecessary. Let your comfort and common sense guide you.

I’ve created the thread but because I don’t have 200 posts I cannot post it in the extender subforum. If the typical traction force used is 600gm then I think I am overworking my penis.

Fascinating observation-

I’ve been wearing the extender regularly 6-8 hrs daily now. When I put it on in the morning, I notice that it is really a stretch to get it on so I back off the length of the device and apply it. After a couple hours the springs have advanced the tight member about 3/16-1/4”. Then I screw out the posts a bit more. After awhile, the bottom marks on the posts are again visible indicating further stretching and relaxation. No discomfort at all. I do try to apply rice sock heat before strapping in and intermittently throughout the day. I hope these are encouraging signs.

I’m not sure how to interpret it, but since yesterday when I get closer to 900g on my extender the glans slowly starts to slip off but still stays in it. It didn’t do that before the one week break from the extender, or a few days ago where I could stay at 900g for about an hour with no problem.

I started again about a week ago, so I don’t understand the situation.

Taking a break. I have been using the extender consistently for 67 hours, 6-8 hours a day without break. Discontinued use of the Bathmate because I did not want to mix up routines too much. Jelquing only 100 times about once per week. Tissue seems to have been very comfortable up till now and has gotten noticeably more elastic. I warm up 5-10 min., put extender on and after about 30 min. Bar has extended about 1/8”+ . (This is spring extender). So then I lengthen the posts again that much. Again, after about 1/2+ hr it has relaxed and lengthened some more. Sometimes I have relengthened sometimes not at this point. But now, the penis has become a bit sore on both sides at the base and occasionally about every 3-5 hours I get a mild aching wave that lasts a couple minutes. My EQ has gone down and erect girth does not achieve previous size nor length. No sex interest at all. I am now on the second day of doing nothing and I feel things are coming back. Mental images of wife naked coming back and sausage began to stir. Lesson learned-listen to your penis. I think I was on border of overdoing it.

What was it that you felt to take a break?

Your routine sounds cool. Any gains? How long have you been at it?

I felt an aching on the sides at the base (where ligs attach) in the form of discomfort that I can only describe as different and increased intensity. Mild to moderate throbbing throught the day when not wearing the extender. Also erect girth and length 1/4” less than before. I’ve tracked my use in the Vacextender only which is 67 hours so far. Today is morning of third day and no throbbing now. Night wood woke me up this morning at 1:56 AM. So, tonight or tomorrow I’ll grt back on track. Not sure about gains as I’m committed to not measure until I have 900 hours or 6 months of PE. Just judging on erect appearance I would say not much if at all.

I felt also that discomfort stretching… And in one week that discomfort fade away. How long will you take a break for? Like a couple of days?

I don’t think that discomfort is that but to grow unless it hurts so much that you can’t stand it I guess

I liked this approach. I’m on about the 450 hours and if there’s real gains it’s in the millimeters scale.

We shall see. If it isn’t up to par, it will be hangin’ time! Not giving up until all possibilities exhausted. (Might take a few years).
