Ready to throw in the towel

Ok guys, help me out, I must be doing something wrong here. I’ve been a member of this wonderful site since February 2006. Within the first month, I saw gains. Not much, but they were gains none the less. But then they just stopped. I’ve been doing PE 5 days a week for the past 6 months without any gains period. And I don’t feel my general penile health has improved at all either; my penis hasn’t gotten any harder when erect, my stamina hasn’t increased, etc. I’m about ready to give up, but now I’m presented with the new problem of recoil. I’m worried that if I do stop my exercises, I will end up with less then what I started with. Any suggestions/comments would be very much appreciated.

Note: I started with the newbie routine, and over a period of two months I gradually increased the duration and repetitions of manual stretching and jelqing. About 3 months ago, I added a Captain’s Wench to my program, which gave me the added bonus of hanging and clamping. My current routine is as follows: 100 manual stretches, 400 wet jelqs, 100 dry jelqs, 10 minutes of hanging at 10 pounds, and 20 minutes of clamping. The order usually goes manual stretching, wet jelqs, hanging, clamping, and dry jelqs.

You are probably doing too much.

NEW newbie + advanced routine

In general, even modest amounts of jelquing will give harder erections…too much will have the opposite effect.

Many guys CANNOT do even the beginners routine without overtraining, and you are way past that.

Lay off for a couple weeks until your erectile quality improves considerably, then begin with the routine I posted. Watch your PIs, and you will get back on track.

I haven’t experienced any negative pi’s though, but I haven’t experienced any positive ones either. As far as oovertraininggoes, I don’t think this is the case since I eased myself into it. I didn’t just start doing bigger sets and heavier weights, I worked up into them, at a rate of adding 25 reps or 1.25 pounds every week or so. Thanks for the advice though, I’ll try giving it a week or two off.

You need days off. It it not like lifting weights. It is more like watching a cut heal.

Your routine sounds very similar to mine and I have stopped seeing gains for some time now. I would say its overtraining. Which is the reason I’m going to take it back to my routine in the first month of stretching and jelqing to see if I notice a difference.
I added clamping and hanging without really taking time to judge the success of my routine at the time and as a result I think I fell into the overtraining category, mainly because of a hunger for power as I saw PE working for me at the time.

I have seen slight improvements overall but nothing that notable. Most differences can be put down to a healthier penis, not true expansion.

Your trying to do too many things at once if I was you I would either hang with a little jelqing for health but you need to commit to around 10 plus hours a week for hanging gains. If your more into girth than a solid 35 to 45 minutes 5 days a week of erect jelqing edging and clamping is in order forget about counting reps. If you go after girth than rest is important if your going for length than the more hanging the better.

Thanks for the help guys, I’m going to take a week or two off and rethink my strategy. Will update later.

Dino. Thanks. Your post helps both me and Monroe.

Jelq’s dont do anything. I’ve read the forums for a while and have alot of pe experience and jelqs do absolutely nothing, if you saw gains probably something psychological.

I personally do 440 squeezes for girth and its the best exercise.

Perhaps they have done nothing for you but I think the consensus here would be otherwise.

I gained my first inch with mostly just jelqing at 60-70% erection

To me, even thought I’m not an expert, It sounds like you’re doing way too much. Try doing less and see how that helps. Oh, and I see that you are doing 400 jelqs, which means you’re counting how many jelqs your doing, not how long the jelq stroke is (if that makes since). Spend more time perfecting your jelq stroke and you could be on your way to making gains. Remember PE is mostly patience, rest, and technique. Never for get that.

But I’m just a newbie, I’ve only been PEing for a week. You don’t have to listen to me.

Jelqs are to PE what squats are to lifting.
