I’m not exactly uncircumcised, but the the doctor did leave a little bit of overhang when he was finished, which makes gripping sometimes difficult. Should I pull the foreskin back and then grip or just grip with the loose skin in place.

Pull your foreskin back and grip right behind the glans and stretch. That’s the most comfortable for uncircumcised men.
You can stretch without pulling your foreskin, but you have to place your grip around mid shaft…

Figure out which technique is the easiest for you.

Thanks daboogies. Behind the glans seems to do the trick. That really seems to let me get a firm grip and keep it. Before I had trouble with slipping.

No, you can stretch with the foreskin over the glans by grabbing just behind the glans, this is the most comfortable for many uncut guys including myself.
