skin stretching

Well I started hanging recently and it took me a while to solve some issues.

At first, my head was ballooning up and I was wrapping too tightly, but I have solved those problems. I feel now that I’m wrapping better and squeezing the blood out of the glans before attaching the hanger helps a lot.

However, now I’m worried about my skin taking most of the weight as opposed to my ligs. I read somewhere (either on these forums or on the bibhanger product guide) that the ligs should be taking most of the pressure and not the skin. It seems inevitable to me that the skin will always be stretched down by the weight. In particular, it is the skin from the hanger up to the pubic region that is under significant stress during my hanging.

When I wrap, I pull any excess skin toward the head, making sure that the skin beneath the wrap is tight. This also makes the skin tight up to the base and beyond. Then when I hang, it stretches the skin from the hanger up to the base and pubic region. I’m currently hanging 2 kg right now (4.4 lbs).

I was just wondering if this is normal or should I tighten the hanger more in order to get a firmer grip on the internal structures. The hanger is not slipping off and I’m pretty sure that I clamp the hanger on plenty tight. In fact, it feels as if I were to tighten it anymore, it would cut the circulation really badly.

All in all, hanging isnt painful and it seems to be going well. I can hang for about 15 minutes and the head does not get dark, and stays around its normal temperature. I know that the skin is supposed to stretch but it seems that even if the skin stretches and grows longer over time, it will continue to be stretched tight during hanging.

plowdawg,

That is not unusual, but it should not be all the time.

>When I wrap, I pull any excess skin toward the head, making sure that the skin beneath the wrap is tight.<

Here is your problem. Why are you pulling the excess skin toward the head? If you do not want to stretch excess skin, then pull it toward the base.

>This also makes the skin tight up to the base and beyond. Then when I hang, it stretches the skin from the hanger up to the base and pubic region. I’m currently hanging 2 kg right now (4.4 lbs).<

Sure it does. Start your wrap about an inch behind the head, then pull the excess skin toward the base from under the wrap.

>I was just wondering if this is normal or should I tighten the hanger more in order to get a firmer grip on the internal structures. <

For right now, just do some experimentation and report back. You might need to tighten more, but if the skin is taking all the stress now becasue of you pulling the excess to the head, you might not really know the extent of the hanger slippage.

>The hanger is not slipping off and I’m pretty sure that I clamp the hanger on plenty tight. In fact, it feels as if I were to tighten it anymore, it would cut the circulation really badly.<

That would depend on how tight the wrap is.

Not if you do it right.

Well I was originally pulling my skin towards my head also, until my mentor sorted it out.

Bib I don’t want to be critical but I can’t remember reading anywhere saying to pull skin towards my base while wrapping. Maybe its there but I didn’t pick it up. I really make things hard for myself sometimes, ah!

From the BibHanger product guide:

The wrap should produce a semi-solid area on which to attach the hanger. The hanger should be attached about ¼ to ½ inch below the top of the wrap, behind the head.

If you attach the hanger farther from the head, it is especially important to make sure you pull any extra skin back toward your body—both before wrapping as well after attaching the hanger (before tightening it down completely). Simply slip a finger under the wrap, and pull back the excess skin. This will allow more stress to be placed on the ligaments rather than on the skin. Stretching the skin alone can be painful and is of no value to PE.

No wonder I repeated year 1 at primary school.

Now about this “wrap about an inch behind the head” thing. I thought that if I do this and tighten my clamp enough, the clamp will grab the ligs and pull instead of grabbing the skin and pull down. I’ve tightened as much as I can and every single time I do this, the hanging hurts. Upon investigation, I see that the clamp is stretching the skin down towards the head and it’s the head that is actually stopping the clamp from stretching further. I would like to so this properly, what am I doing wrong?

For the past 2 months I’ve been clamping just behind the ridges of the head so I can get some hang time

I believe you are using a type of AFB hanger, using rulers? This might make it a little tough. You are going to have to spend some time working with your hanger to make it conform to your penis a little better, or make another type of hanger. You are obviously not grasping the internal structures of the shaft at all.

As long as you are clamping on the SIDES behind the head, you will probably be ok. Make sure the hanger does not turn and impact the area on top behind the head.

Bib,

My problem is that if I attach my homemade hanger right behind the head ( between the circumcision scar and the head ) I can only hang with half as much weight as I can with it attached closer to the base. The skin just feels a lot more sensitive towards the head. I have tried using wraps but I still get that pain if I use it near the head.

I am still in my first month of hanging and still using the same 2.5 lb weight that I started with although I could have started with 5 lb. if I attach it at mid-shaft instead of closer to the head.

Also I don’t get the feeling of the hanger grabbing the internal structures when it’s that close to the head although you would think that the head itself stopping the hanger should be adequate enough. I just don’t have that much “internal structures” up there until I attach it closer to the base, like maybe right at the circumcision scar ( mid-shaft ).

I use a Tom Hubbard type of hanger and am very pleased with it since I have gained 1/4” in 3 weeks. I know I cannot add a pound of hanging weight a week if I keep it attached near the head, but I can if it’s attached farther back.

What should I do?

I tried a tighter wrap right behind the head just today and it alleviated some of the pain. I was able to jump to 5 lbs and hung it for 30 min until the skin soreness became too much.

I would rather stop a session by feeling the fatigue in the ligs than because of skin soreness. That’s why I’m thinking of attaching it closer to the base than the head.
