Is there any danger to using an IR lamp for 10 mins to warm up, then all throughout the workout?

Not that I know of. I have one of the powerful ones, keep it about 300mm away and it’s fine.

As a question, use of these lamps would only cause burning if used to closely to the penis itself? No risk of skin cancer? Sorry if I sound uneducated, I just don’t know much on the matter.

There is quite a bit on the safety of them on the web. They are routinely used in physiotherapy.

Yes, if you use them too close, they will cook your penis; it is meat after all! If you use the back of your hand next to your penis, and the lamp is not too hot on the back of your hand, you are safe from cooking it. The penis is not a very heat sensitive organ; its nerves are better at registering friction.

I think heat is a part of PE that isn’t talked about enough and could definitely help many members stalling with gains, what are your views on PE in warm water or do you prefer the IR lamps? Thank you firegoat.

As you can see from my sig line, I’m a big fan of heat. IR lamps are great because they are not messy, and are quick and easy to use. But a rice sock/microwaveable gel pad/hot water are all OK. Basically anything that raises the temperature will make the collagen more pliable. Wet heat and IR happen to be the best penetrating sources of heat - something like a fan heater just doesn’t penetrate the tissues well and only warms the outside of your penis.

Started hanging on 3/28/12 after minimal gains on the newbie routine. Still not discouraged! This game is 99.9% mental. Stick with it, gents.

After 1 month of hanging 5-6lbs BTC: 1/4" gain in BPEL and BPFSL!

Possible risk of increased skin cancer, rice sock is easier in my opinion.
