Hello all,

I have been practicing PE with an extender for about 9 months now. I would like to think that I am conditioned. Recently I have transitioned to hanging. For the last 2 months, I have increased the weight every two weeks by 0.25lbs focusing on SD hanging for about 3 hours a day. I am on 3.5lbs now.

My question is, do you think it is over-training if I supplement the 3 hour hanging with an additional 6-10 hours of light extending at about 1200-1800g and then using a silicon sleeve to remain extended overnight? My thoughts are that should remain in a fatigued state as long as possible?

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

My PI’s have been good so far. I continue to have strong erections and wake up with one too. I just don’t want to get to the point where I have diminishing gains and an increased risk of injury. Would you advise to just drop back to hanging and use an anti-turtling sleeve?

Your current hanging loads and extender loads are almost identical, so you are really just applying the same stress using two different approaches. Personally I would just extend at these loads. Noting some extenders can deliver over 9 lbs of load.

If you eliminate the extender you will be reducing your volume on average by 70%, with little to no increase in intensity. You have now been adding hanging at 3.5lbs for three hours a day, this load is on average 5%+ less than your average extender load of 3.75 lbs, which you have been hitting between 6-10 hours a day.

Like 32 is getting at, if your PI’s are good I believe you are going to be ok experimenting with these times and loads, regardless extension method or combinations of such.

Once extending stops yielding results, hanging is an approach to experiment with if it is increased load that you are aiming for. However, as you pointed out, with hanging there is greater likelihood for injury as it is a more advanced exercise typically dealing with higher loads. Remembering that some extenders can deliver up to 4200 grams of load (9.25 lbs.)

I wouldn’t use anything overnight if it begins to get cold from lack of circulation you won’t know it until possible damage could occur.

I never thought about it that way. So I’ll take your advice and put my effort into extending until my results begin to slow or stop, then consider transitioning into hanging. Thank you for the clarification!
