Hey everyone,

A few days ago I started taking L-Arginine and Zinc supplements to help increase blood flow. I have already noticed an increase in my libido and much harder erections.

The purpose of this thread is to keep track of my gains with these two supplements in conjunction with my routine. First and foremost, I do not intend to make it seem as though the supplements help increase length and girthalone, I simply aim to examine the effects they have on my routine and gains…if any at all.

Also, if anyone has any added suggestions for “natural” supplements, here would be a great place to post them.

I say “natural” because I want to research the supplements the body natural makes or is found naturally in food. In my case, I am deficient in some areas, hence the reason I started taking Zinc. L-Arginine is an amino acid that promotes blood flow and the body’s ability to produce NOS (nitrous oxide), another area in which I feel I am lacking.

What this boils down to is an experiment to see if these help with my overall health and sexuality.

How much L-aginine and zinc are you taking for starters?



The recommended dose for L-arginine is 3,000mg per day, and the Zinc is 50mg a day. I’m sticking with that for now.

I read a post that one of the members here said that he had to take 6,000mg of L-Arginine per day to see any results. I won’t be taking that much for a while, if ever.

Arginine helps improve boner strength. I like AAKG better than regular arginine. Currently I am not on arginine.

What’s AAKG?

AAKG = Alpha arginine ketoglutarate. It acts faster. I use be able to get it at Wal mart. Now I can’t find it there anymore.

What about lecithin? I’ve read posts about it…have you ever tried it?

Remember that Arginine competes with other things in your belly to be absorbed and utilized. Protein especially will prevent your body from using the stuff. so take on an empty stomach.

The recommended dosage, my doc says, is 3 - 5 grams a day (3,000 - 5,000 mg) for men with ED, which I have.

I take about 4 grams a day with good results. A lot of farting in the beginning, but that passed after several days. :( No other sides, for me.

I started out at 1.5 grams/day, increased that gradually. Late in the third week, there were differences. A lot more nocturnal erections/morning wood. Better yet, my semen volume increased; hence more intense orgasms that last longer. [In the interest of science I measured volume, before L-a and after. Exactly double.]

Zinc: I’ve read a number of zinc studies. Anything over 40 mg a day is overkill and will deplete copper reserves in your body. Maybe cut back on that.

Just started taking l-arginine powder and wow it taste like semen!! Diluted it into a glass of water.. Tasted like I was drinking a whole glass of semen lol

You’ve tasted semen?

Try diluting it in hot water (the arginine, not semen). It find it’s a little easier to swallow (the arginine, not semen).
