Finding xeno: a penis tale

Broke my ~2 month decon break this morning. Not the purest of decon breaks. I monkeyed around with clamping here and there during it, and gained 0.125” in EG(ms) as a result. I did however, lose some length. First time for that. Based on my previous decon break experiences, I think my clamping experiments contributed to my length loss. Poisson ratio effect. I lost 0.125” in both BPFSL and BPEL to 9.125” and 8.375” respectively. Girth remains at 5.875”(ms) and 6.75”(base). My LOT is 7:30.

My training will consist of above LOT hanging, from 9:00 to 12:00, pretty sporadic, about 6-8 hrs/week I expect, and jelqing, probably about 1.5-2 hrs/week. My main goal is to regain the length that I lost over my last decon break. What I learned from my last gains campaign is that pushing the gains campaign too far is a waste of time (and, certainly more importantly) conditioning, approximately 90 hrs worth, 60 hrs of BTC/SD hanging and 30 hrs of jelqing. Benefit from my costly experiment fellas…deconditioning is where its at. Strain it. Leave it alone. Repeat.

Here’s the current stats summary:

Now (1/09/06):
BPFSL=9.125”
BPEL=8.375”
EG(ms)=5.875”
EG(base)=6.75”
Volume(ms)=23.00ci

Volume change(ms)=78%

Xeno, you seem to both enjoy and deserve compliments. However, I find your story simultaneously inspirational and depressing. I am inspired because you have reassured my belief in PE and given me some hope for what I may attain. I am depressed because it is not likely to happen for me by Christmas of 2006. That sucks.

I am a very impatient man and have been wondering lately if I have the fortitude to stick with PE for the long haul. Changes seemed to happen quickly in the first 5 weeks and the last three have slowed considerably. I am thinking seriously about adding hanging to my repertoire.

Could you elaborate on why you chose to go with the Bib Hanger? You mentioned that you tried three home-brews before you went with the Bib. I am interested in your thoughts because you seem to be a contemplative guy.

Thanks.

Xeno,

Some good, insightful information. Thanks.

Welcome back and good luck.

Xeno?

Are you mad at me?

Could you explain your decision making process with regard to selecting the Bib Hanger as your weapon of choice?

"Debate the idea..."

Prior to buying my BIB, I made a CCH3, a homemade BIB and a homegrown designed hanger. Construction of these was educational, but wastes of time for purposes of making hanging gains. In all three cases, glans swelling and/or circulation problems limited my hanging time, weight or both. The BIB made hanging easy, which is to say, I could hang long and heavy. I later bought a BIB Starter to use for Bow and Arrow stretches. I use both models, and have used both at the same time…that’ll be for another post, but for all weights below about 30lbs, I find the Starter more comfortable. I often meditate when hanging, and with the Starter, I can completely forget that I’m hanging. I fell asleep once, for about 45 minutes, I think. No problems as a result. Testament to the excellent circulation that the Starter allows, a little better than the BIB I think. But for weights above about 30lbs, I go to the BIB. The additional surface area relative to the Starter really helps to distribute the required compressive loading for comfortable heavy hanging. I do hope to not find myself using my BIB very often.

I’ll bet it helps to have the surface area to work with. *fighting back envy*

I have seen your pictures and I have studied the Bib. How did your “homebrew” differ in design?

Again, congrats on the gains thus far.

"Debate the idea..."

It really wasn’t a worthwhile design, but, briefly, it was intended to simulate the production BIB…it was made of a 3” long section of 3” PVC which I cut lengthwise and hinged the way the production BIBs are hinged. I epoxied “halfpipes” of 2.5” diameter hard plastic tubing (the stuff with the fiber reinforcement) onto the inner surfaces of the two halves of PVC and then burned ridges into the plastic with a soldering gun. I rigged up a brass based closure mechanism like the BIB. Long story short…took me about 8 hrs and $10 to build, but it sucked. Circulation and glans swelling were big problems. Wish I would have bit the bullet and bought the BIB right off the bat. I bought the BIB thinking I’d want to only buy one hanger, and I figured that the BIB would be the one that would handle the weights that I’d end up using someday. With my decon cycling, I hope to be able to enjoy the higher comfort level of the Starter for the rest of my PE career.

I’m a build it myself kind of guy too goon, but having used the BIB hangers, there’s no way no how that I could ever build a hanger of this type that would match the product that Bigger sells. I guess I’m encouraging you to bite the bullet, drink PBR or whatever for a month instead of St. Pauli or whatever, and kick down for the real deal.

Best of luck with your hanging gains campaign. Let me know if I can help at all.

It is amazing to me that you were able to hang 30# from your dick with the Bib. My dick starting turning into meatloaf at 22#.

Modesto-

What do you mean by meatloaf? What was happening?

I’ve not mentioned it before because I don’t want guys, newbs in particular, to get the idea that it’s something they should do, but I’m starting to clear out my PE closet, so to speak. At one point my hanging training included 5 minute “shock” sets at 47lbs followed by 15-20 minute sets at 37lbs, both SD/BTC. I did gain, but I don’t want to ever go back to that…there was no meditating during those sets. It remains to be seen whether or not I’ll have to return to these kind of weights to realize further length gains. If so, it’ll be in large part, I believe, due to the conditioning I acquired doing this.

Do you attribute your gains to this? If so, that could explain why my very conservative approach didn’t produce squat.

By “meatloaf” I mean that the ventral side of my penis in front of the hanger became severely bruised and callused. I would get a severe donut after my second set. My penis was continually swollen.

I tried various hanger adjustments, which I think helped a bit. But, frankly, after the level of discomfort I experienced I was ready for a PE break, and I stopped.

Now I’m back to hanging, slowly creeping up the weight. I had pretty good luck with 15# using the Wenchette today. I managed 6 20-minute sets. That’s a long way from 47#, however.

I really have problems keeping the hanger from slipping too far forward at heavy weights. My dick just does not provide a good anchor for a conventional hanger, apparently.

I did gain with the heavy hanging training. I had gained previously with lower weights too, but had slowly increased my max weight to 32lbs. This was with 4-8 20 minute sets which were done in the morning. I was having to get up at 4:00-4:30 to get in those sets, which was becoming difficult to make myself do. So I thought I’d experiment with the shorter duration/heavier weight approach as a way to sleep in a bit longer. I consider that work = time x load, so I was trading less time for greater load in the hope that I was maintaining (although still slowly increasing) my training work level. This was also around the time I was first starting to experiment with IPR principles in my training. In accordance with that theory, once the I is accomplished, one should move on to the P phase. So, this concept played a role in my choosing this training method as well.

We’ve talked about various ways to help make the BIB hanger work best, but one thing I don’t think I’ve mentioned is attaching the hanger at the base of the shaft. In my experience, the closer the leading edge of the hanger is to the glans, the more pronounced are the unpleasant effects (glans swelling, circulation problems, etc.) of hanging. I’ve also observed the inverse, the farther away that the leading edge is, the less pronounced are those effects. A nice thing about this approach is that as one gains, the leading edge of the hanger can be positioned further and further away from the glans. And so heavier weights can be hung and/or more comfortable hanging can be done as one’s length increases. Something of positive feedback system really. Couple a basal attachment with use of 2 HTWs as a wrap, which serve to slightly compress the shaft, and also to provide a shear couple surface other than the skin surface, and you may find that you’re able to get good anchoring with minimal unpleasant side effects.

Xeno,

I followed your suggestion. I’m now gripping about 1/4” closer to the base than before. I also have an HTW wrapping the entire shaft (thanks to Monty). It runs from the base to the corona, then folds back and runs back to the base. I’ve got about 8” of 1.5” wide Theraband wrapped above that. The Wenchette goes over the whole deal.

My initial impression: Man, this is comfortable. There’s a bit more head pressure than I’m used to, but I’m finding that a quick squeeze relieves it. I’m about 5 minutes into my first set. So far, so good. Thank you so much for the suggestion.
