What Brand of Pump Would You Suggest

I’m looking into pumping but the selection of pumps is incredible.
I am looking for a good pump with a vacuum gage to let me know how much pressure I am applying.
I’d like to keep the price down if at all possible.

Anyone have a suggestion on what brand of pump I should look at?

The best is LADist—do not second guess—Steve

If you have a Harbor Freight in town, you can buy the same pump with gauge that lapdist uses in a brake bleeder kit for around $25. Then you can buy a cylinder and male quick disconnect connector from lapdist and you will save about $30 over just buying the package deal from lapdist. No, wait a minute, just buy the same equipment in that package deal from lapdist and drop the DVD.

Man I just bought a lapdist last week and love it.I get a nice thick wanker after just one 10 min. set.I love using it.

Thanks guys.

Hey Gprent:

We’ve answered this question so many time that we need to make a sticky of it. Something like “based on users poll” best equipment is:

Steve

Mitivac and a 16(cut smaller) x2 gravel cylinder(if you can fit in the 2”od). Around $50. All you have to do is make a comfortable base. Saved me at least $100. Mitivac was a bit more than $30.

I use the Mityvac…fine little pump, but the handle is prone to break. However, for only $24.00 at Auto zone, that’s a small problem. I just beefed it up with superglue and some sheet plastic and I’m a pumpin’ fool. I’ve used the Mityvac for about 18 months. Pretty good return on $24.00, oh, and $1.00 for the superglue.

Ok, got it. Did my research (Found a Harbor Freight 5 miles from me) and will call lapdist and see what kind of deal they can cut without the DVD.

One last newbee question from a vet. Gravel Cylinder? Do you get them from Home Depot or an Aquarium store? Duh…….

I do wish they had it in stock so I didn’t have to order it online, but no matter it was hardly a “kill spending”. My handle is sort of getting retarded. I do like to take off the top (where the air goes out of) and press fast, multiple times during pumps to eliminate the noise. Works quite well.

Falcon: They are the cleaning cylinder for aquariums found at your local pet shoppe in Big Sky country. It’s mandatory that they have them if they have underwater life. For a few dollars extra you can get a longer one and cut to size. For me it was 3 bucks more than the normal 10x2.

Oops. I meant putting thumb over the air hole, but leaving a tiny bit of room to get rid of the air; not to keep pressing over it.

I bought mine from LA pumps, a little pricy, but they are a very good pump. Get one that is about 1/4” in diameter larger than what your girth is. And stay at around 5Hz. I hot water pump too. If you need a link to their site pm me and I’ll look it up for you. I also use hair conditioner as a lube for the pump and jelqing.

Thanks Loki2,

Seems just ordering from LA Pumps for $139 is the most efficent way to do it. I can get the package without the DVD for about $128.
Ok one last Newbee question. When I measure girth am I measuring flaccid or erect?

Never mind… duh….

Got it figured out and ordered the pump and tube from La Pumps a minute ago.

Thanks again for the help guys. I’m going to see how hanging and pumping work together. Well, maybe a little clamping here and there too.

I got tired of doing Manual PE after I got to 7 1/2” BPEL and 6 1/2” average girth. Way too much work and no gains to speak of.
