Need help, new pump

Hey I just got my pump! But on the gauge it has negative numbers. And when there is no pressure on the gauge it points to -10.? So if I pump it to -15 is this = to 5 Hg’s?

Sounds like it is fucked up. What brand is the pump? Can you attach a pic of the gauge dial? It is possible what you say is true. If -10 is your zero point, then -15 would be 5”hg vacuum pressure. I take it the the needle is pointing to -10, but there is a -5 and a zero below that.

Yea I think the needle was just sent wrong but there is a -5 and 0 below it. And I it’s not really leaking anymore. I have to give it like a half pump every two minutes to keep it at 4. I have a question I find that my fat pad( even though it;s not alot) is getting sucked into the bottom of the pump. Is that normal. The two inch tube is a little big right now, but I’m hoping I’ll grow into it. I did eight minutes today at 4 Hg but I didn’t really have that full hang afterwards. Maybe for like 20 minutes but that’s it. Will that come with time?

The fat pad thingy is normal and the more experience you get with pumping, the longer the result will last. Continue to be patient and try not to rush.

I’m not having trouble with the leak anymore. I shaved even more last night and today I had no problem.
