Is My Cylinder Too Narrow?

Just received my first pump in the mail. I went w Leluv. I stuck w Gprent’s size suggestions and went for 1.75” diameter. I believe I’m ~5.2-5.25” girth at the base and ~5” mid shaft.
When I enter (~40% erection), after a few pumps the entire bottom third is squeezing the sides of the pump. Beyond that is not “packed”. I forgot to get the gauge (should be getting in mail this week) so I cant say what exactly pressure I’m at. I’m more or less trying it out to see how it feels for short a duration.
Should I go up to 2.0” diameter or is this normal.

Girth is my primary goal.

To Note: I’m entering at lower Erection level. I’d rather enter at higher, but it just hasn’t been happening for some reason… However, I know my BPEL on a good day is over 7-7.5”. After a few pumps I feel discomfort and my length has barely got to 6” in the tube but looks erect… does this mean I simply don’t have enough space width wise to keep going lengthwise? That’s kind of throwing me off since I keep hearing guys gaining so much Temporary size whilst inside the cylinder. Any suggestion help!
Thanks!

It’s very common for the bottom third to be packed. Are you using lube to help you get full extension into the cylinder? Also another trick is to bone press the cylinder into your crotch as you begin to pump up to ensure your penis is fully inserted for max length.

If you are feeling pain, it is probably because you are using too much press, so when you get your gauge the pain should go away. As you gain more experience, your length inside the tube should get better. Just don’t force it by using too much pressure.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Just what I was going to say gprent.

It’s sometimes tempting to have a session without lube to save on clean up time, but you need lube to let your penis in the packed part of the cylinder slide. I think it’s good to pack the bottom third fairly soon into your session.

Without a gauge you should pump up until you feel slight discomfort and then back off slightly.

Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

Thank you for all the replies. All the right dudes to answer my question. @dtwarren42 that’s exactly what I was doing. Glad to know it was the right thing.

I used more lube today and it did help me slide in and expand further, yet not to what I know my max BPEL is. I was able to enter at a slightly higher erecrion level ~60% which also probably helped be larger in the tube.

Does it matter what erection level I enter at, or will pumping to a certain pressure always put me at the same size in the tube no matter where I started? Does it make a difference for gains?

Does your cylinder have a flange and when you check your length do you rest the ruler on the flange? If so, that accounts for some of the length difference. Also when you take your bone pressed measurement, do you bone press the ruler pretty hard to maximize the length measurement? That can also account for some of the difference. Are you manually stretching your cock when you measure length? That would make a difference.

How much continuous time are you pumping for now? Is it 5 minutes or longer?

Good points there. Yeah I believe it is flanged. It has the rounded base. I just checked the “ruler”, sticker, and it starts after the flange. That’s a good 1/4th- 3/8ths inch taken off my measurement right there. Yes I do give it a little extra push when measuring BPEL for the ego boost, but not during manual stretch routine.

Today was the first time I stayed in for an extended period. I pumped for about 7-8 minutes after entering semi erect. I left the tube fairly flaccid, but was somewhat “plumped” up. @Gprent

I think given all the mentioned variables, I would be just at or slightly under my max BPEL. But I’m assuming the intention is to be expanded x amount beyond your max measurement outside the tube?

Eventually you want to be able to pump for 25 to 30 minutes and that is when you will see more length increase. But wait until you get your gauge pump so you know you are using a safe pressure. It will take 2-3 weeks of slowly increasing your conditioning to get up to pumping for 25 minutes continuous.

Got it. Thank you

If you have a whiteboard water based marker pen, it’s useful to mark the outside of your cylinder at your current length (make sure your eyes are parallel with the tube to avoid parallax error), then you can easily see how much creep you gain over a longer session, or see when you have maxed out for that session.

It’s also easier to measure from the base of the tube to the mark you make when you’re out of the tube, and use that as your BPEL for tracking it.

I think a ring that slides along the cylinder would be nice. It would be automatically parallel, avoiding such an error.

I’m thinking a plastic ring with small ball bearings, or roller bearings. Of course the cylinder can’t be a tapered cylinder.

Or just use a rubber band 😁

I also use a 1.75 inch tube that’s hard to fit into, one thing you can try is after applying lube, enter the tube and at 5 mg start moving the tube up and down, increase the pressure slowly over about 10-15 seconds up to 10 mg while still moving the tube, and then release the pressure back down to 5 mg and start again. I do this for about a minute until I’m close to my BPEL and then drop down to 5 mg to start my session.

Started: 5.5" x 4" | Currently: 6.5" x 4.5" | Goal: 7" x 5"

I have a similar question too, but I am pumping length.

Currently, I am at 4.25” girth and have a 1.5”x9” cylinder. Since I am currently only pumping for length, I was wondering if it would be worth it if I went ahead and purchased an even narrower penis cylinder, like 1.35”x9”, to generate a better length pull?

Start: 5.4" x 4.2", C: 5.4" x 4.2", STG: 7.0" x 5.0", LTG: 8.0" x 6.0"

The Ultimate Goal: 9.0" x 7.0"

One step at a time.
