Hanging start - A bit different approach

Been doing PE for 3 years now, I have tried everything but from hanging and pumping. So, been trying to reach my length goal for the last 2 years and reached a plateau, I thought that maybe hanging would help.

Looking at my history, I seem to not easily injure myself. That’s why I believe I can go a bit more rough on my unit comparing to most people. So, I started hanging at the start of this month and have not taken a rest day so far.

My problem is that private time is limited so I cannot hang the suggested 10 hours a week. This week, I have only made 2,25 hours so far and I can at most do 3 x 15 minutes today. Meaning 3 hours at most. I don’t see other weeks that can by far exceed this so I decided to, against most people’s suggestion, start off with rather heavy weights right away. So, for this first week, I used 3,25 kg (6,5 lbs) and I have no problems, marks or pain etc. So it seems to work for me. Next week, I will try 4 kg (~8 lbs) and see if I can take it.

After some months, results should come and if not, this method didn’t work. The reason I post it here is that it might be of interest for other hangers.

IME as long as you step up the weights carefully and not too quickly, it may work for you— personally I never hung with much below 4kg and don’t even feel a pul below that now

I’d only be cautious about jumping straight to heavy until you condition your unit and get a feel for how heavier weights feel.

While Bib is now a ‘less is more’ guy, IIRC he was hanging pretty heavy back in the day— both heavy and for long hours, which is how he got huge.

Tried the “less is more” thing with other exercises but it doesn’t seem to do it for me. It feels like going to the gym and and work on weights half of what I am used to. There are probably numerous of more experienced PE:ers telling me I am wrong and maybe I am, but it is a motivation thing too. But I will go on easy from where I am right now as I feel that my thing would not like the idea of putting on much more weight than I have by now. In December or something, we’ll see if I was right or wrong.

Hey Steelfire we have the EXACT same starting out length and end goals. Nice to see that :) Good luck. Ive been hanging for the last couple of months. Has done wonders man, especially have such little girth. I’m currently 7in by 4.5. No girth work for me until I get to 7.5. But I see you have gained girth since starting. What would you say was the main thing that gave you girth gains?

Heavy hanging for short periods of time is a method tried in another forum. I don’t know if I am allowed to post it but I am sure you know it. Have a look. It might be helpful.

Been one month since I started hanging and I can see results by now. 7 mm (0,3”) extra in BPFSL and 5 mm (0,2”) in BPEL and NBPEL. No too bad right? Had a total hanging time in September of 16 hours, 20 minutes sessions, started with 3,25 kg and have moved up to 4 kg.

If time/privacy is an issue, you might consider an ADS. You can wear it under your clothes all day. You can’t put heavy tension on it but perhaps that is compensated by the time factor.

I’ve heard the term ADS in several threads before, made a search in the forum but all kind of unrelated stuff came up. Care to post a helping link?

It’s basically a hanger that has been modified in such a way that, instead of adding weight to it, you attach it to your leg or hang it around your neck, so that you get tension all day long.

Ok. That sounds interesting as long as it can be done stealth. Though, I guess one cannot wrap around the penis as hard as in hanging as it would cause blood flow problems.

Added on some weight now for October. 5,25 kg, feels ok.

Short duration, heavy weight, coupled with insufficient heating will almost certainly guarantee maximum scar tissue and minimal gains.

Sounds promising then ;) .

I do not think short durations applies to me. I do 20 minutes sessions, 1-4 per day. Had four rest days in September only and in average about 5 hours total hanging per week. Is that still to little?

Heavy weights…well, I began with 3,25 kg (considering myself to have a well conditioned unit) and added on to 4 kg after two weeks. Tried with 5,25 but that was too much (got some pains, though not too much) so I backed down to 4 kg.

Gains so far seems good for one month only. 0,3” for BPFSL and 0,2” for BPEL (and NBPEL). So, I changed my plan a bit since start and hang a bit more like recommended.

Seems like I missed this. Sorry!

My girth came from clamping and I have (according to my log book) done 12 months of clamping in total. It has now gone down a bit as I was as most up to 5,2” in girth. A bit sad that it takes so much time though. Patience!

But from now, I will reach my length goal, go beyond it before I go back to work on girth.

I hear what he is saying.

If you never hung before then what is the point in starting heavy…even if you have been thoroughly conditioned from lots of manual work? If you did less sets with lighter weight for a longer period of time (as your schedule allows) and then followed it up with using an ADS to help your penis stay and heal in an elongated state after hanging, you may see really good results.

Everything I ever heard about starting too heavy is that our penis gets accustomed to the heavier weight quickly and toughens up. Then we go even heavier which makes thinks even worse. Eventually a person is hanging with ridiculously heavy weight and still does not feel much fatigue…a member here comes to mindIt makes sense that our bodys natural defense mechanism will kick in by becoming more resistent to external stress when it senses that something is trying to rip our penis right out of our crotch. It’s the same reason why we ease into stretches and hold at comfortable levels rather than stretch too hard.
