Fulcrum Extending
Howdy, extender folks.
I’ve been doing something a little different and it sure feels like it gives a good stretch, so I thought I’d share with the group.
Once I’m in the extender and at moderate tension, I slide a small wooden dowel [maybe 1/4-3/8 in diameter] perpendicularly across the rods of the device, between the shaft and rods. It gives a nice fulcrum stretch and the precise location of the fulcrum can be adjusted proximally and distally along the shaft as desired. It works for pulling a fulcrum in either direction, depending on which side of the device you load the dowel. You can also vary the degree to which the fulcrum is angled by using different diameter dowels or rods, but I haven’t played with that yet really.
