Extender, how many hours a day?

Hi guys

I read users saying it´s better to put no rest days in extender campaign.
Others recommend some day off.

I found many bruises or injuries, including blisters, can heal while still doing 3-4 hours a day, whereas above 7 hours a day would cause any wounds to stop healing or go worse.
So I can consider 2-6 hours/day are to be moderate intensity, or even maintenance.

Some guys around here claim they put ADS or extender for 1-2 hours a day, which is in general terms not helping gains as far as extender routine alone is understood.
Some users and even studies say it´s ok to use 4-6 hours for gains, but others recommend 8-9 hours.
Some Users go beyond and say under 8 hours is useless.

I myself noticed gains only above 6 hours/day and considerable gains only in the 10-12 hours/day range.
But I never was able to keep a 12 hours a day routine because regardless of the extender I am using, noose, penimaster, vac externders, etc, all efforts lead to a severe tax in the glans health and usually wounds or small blisters appear, later evolving into holes that need care by reducing the hours i put in it.
Seems like above 9-10 hours a day is not sustainable for me.

So,
is there any consensus on how many hours/day can be considered a true contribution to gains?

Stress over time.

Whatever process gets you coming back for more is the right one.

More is great if you can and want to do more tomorrow, if not, you did too much.

There is no magic pill here.

Some can do more, some might need to do less.

Gains are relative, but here for those that come back tomorrow.

Consistency is key.

Mayo Clinic is saying 2 30minute sessions per day, but they’re treating Peyronie’s and the traction is in addition to pharmacological therapy.

X4 published data saying that time and gains correlated positively, but leveled off at around 4 hours and was completely maxed out at 6 hours. You have to take their advice with a grain of salt, though. The “research” methods are totally unknown and they have a strong bias to sell the device.

I aim for at least 2 sessions totaling at least 120 minutes per day.

I can’t fathom how anybody could find the time to consistently do more than 3 hours a day. I guess it depends on your lifestyle…

It definitely depends on Lifestyle and this is fine.

Six hours of extending in a day tends to be my absolute max and this is rarely achieved. My average is maybe 3.5 to 4.5. When we factor in off days, the average is less.

The reality of my measured time tells me that consistency is the real king.

So we just need to do some more PE again tomorrow.

There was a study by Levine in which he explored what time was needed. Following a relatively light tension protocol he found that 3 hours a day was the minimum needed.

The recent study using the Restorex which uses higher tension was getting significant results with 30-90 minutes.

But these were Peyroines cases which typically experience loss of length so those gains are regaining lost length.

There were previous studies in which traction was used in treating micro penis and found positive outcomes but those did not explore the effect of variable time or tension.

Quite frankly we are on our own to figure out the variables of time and tension in terms of effectiveness.

Let me just add that my anecdotal thoughts are that lower tension requires 3 hours a day and high tension needs a minimum of 7-10 hours a week.

Finally Found The Answer

I was like you, I would try to extend as long as possible. It always ended up with me getting a little ulcer in the middle of my glans on the ridge. As a nurse I tried many things, skin prep, hydrocolloid patches to cushion the area. I use the ESL40 cup btw. The answer is tegaderm. You can buy it on amazon, it’s hard to apply if you have never worked with it before, as it is a very thin plastic sheet with adhesive on one side. I use it at work to cover wounds and keep them safe/dry. It is a godsend. If you apply it the ulcer will heal, even with the extender and it will provide protection If you don’t have and wounds. This Is the longest I have gone with a stretching routine.

It seems to me like there are just too many variables out there in the community to really nail down what a successful routine should look like.

For example, I’ve had great short term success on 4-5 hours per day, but I’ve also been doing things outside of extending that could be helping like pumping, using ADS while healing, girth bands/cock rings, supplements etc.. Way too many variables involved.

I also feel like there are multiple paths to success with PE with the cornerstone just being consistency. Listening to your body and not being afraid to change/rest when needed is also a big part of success IMO.

Wow that’s a lot of commitment you’ve put in! I was curious if you did any other types of PE? Is there anything you felt worked really well with extenders or helped you achieve your goals other than just wearing the extender?

I’m only about 350 hours in with mine and I’m getting good results, but I’d humbly take any advice from veterans!

I’m working on foreskin restoration, using a tugger and am trying to figure out how long I should be wearing the thing.

If you get good results,continue your routine.
You can also add manual exercises like: “jelqing” - “squeeze” - “clamping” if you are not a newbie.
Stay constant with your P.E. and also respect your rest days.

Yea using vacuum for 8-9hours/day will eventually cause holes in the glans that wont heal without reducing the time. My best gains using the pmp has been from extreme tension for 10minute intervals for a total of 30mins per day.

I also found through months of testing that using an ADS or not did no difference. My experience is consistent with Restorex clinical study and also the manual stretch gainers that stretched very hard for short amount of time. My findings tell me that the consistency of doing PE every day is what matters and doing it intense enough that the penis is always growing.

I believe extending at lower tension makes more sense, my guess is that the gains comes from rebuilding/repairing while stretched..
