I think I'm overtraining

I think I'm overtraining

There are days when I can do 100 SLOW (3-5 second) jelqs and end up and looking huge afterwards with a wonderful heavy feeling lasting all day long.

The next day there may be a little spotting, but the same workout won’t provide NEARLY the same pump/effect.

Is this a clear indication of overtraining? Would I be better off adopting a 1 on 1 off routine?

Maybe you are using too much pressure when jelquing.

Thanks. But, I feel if I go light then there is no expansion going on.

I use a light to medium grip and just go slow:)

I find 20-30 minutes makes a nice session:)

It always works really well ^_^

A hard grip usually makes my dick feel too beaten up and sore:p

I think that both you and Marenera have it right; you’re just approaching the problem from different angles.

You need to go lighter, cut your repetitions, or add some rest days.


For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

I’d also say forget about counting reps:p

Just go lightly and for about half an hour;)

I favor quality over quantity. I have gotten the best workouts from doing short, intense jelqs as opposed to 30 minute light ones.

I took 3 days off and will increase my warm-up time and try every other day to see how it works.

I have to same problem actually… it really pisses me off.

For a few days I’ll do something and get amazing expansion, then suddenly it won’t come anymore. Basically now I’m just trying to go really intense to keep high expansion post-routine.

If you have a great workout, but it leaves a little spotting, I’d recommend waiting until the spotting goes away completely before the next workout (for me it’s never more than a day and a half.)

I did a heavy dry jelqing routine for months and gained a bit in only the first month or so. I took a decon break then started again. I have found that doing a good work out then let it rest until if feels loose and “natural” again is the best routine for me. I have made more gains in the last month or two than I have over the past year because of this. I will do a 1 on 1 off or 1 on 2 off if need be. I feel like this gives my dick more time to heal and like I’m adding gains on top of healed gains instead of just pushing the limit on a unhealed dick. The spotting just means that you are using a little to much pressure. No biggy though just take it easier on the next workout. Eventually after your dick gets more use to your routine the spots won’t appear and you can really squeeze down on it if you want. I also like to do a few light jelqs in the bathroom throughout the day to keep things from shrinking up much. I don’t know if it helps with expansion but it makes me feel better about it so it only helps in the grand scheme.

I agree. If your noticing negative PI’s then go down in intensity until you get positive PI’s

I like to try to get a lot of expansion as well. I do a Monday, Wednesday, Friday routine and take the other days off. This gives you plenty of rest.

I have never had any spotting.

This same problem was driving me crazy also. I kept trying to find just the right amount of jelqs, etc.

Now I have come to the realization that once I get it to the condition/expansion I want, I STOP PE and take a few rest days. So I try to stop before I crash or can’t get the expansion any more.

Then during the rest days when I see that the heavy hang and night wood are starting to go away, I wait another day and start working out again.

This ends up being 2-4 days on, 3-4 off.
