How dangerous is clamping?

I found the my dick was reasonably resilient to clamping, but I didn’t like the loss of EQ afterwards.


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

I found my EQ went through the roof for about a week after starting a clamping routine. Then it took a massive shit and made it very difficult to even do a workout. This happened most times I clamped. I typically rode it out and made some minor gains. I ultimately stopped clamping and picked up pumping.

I think clamping in small doses has its place. I normally clamp after a pumping session for about 5 minutes and then loosen the clamp all the way till I get about 40% erect. Then I do slinky bends in all directions and it makes my flaccid really fat. I think it is helping with girth. I have gained .25 in girth over the last month using this technique.


Current 5.5 NBPEL x 5.75 Base EG - 5.25 MSEG 7" BPSFL

Short Term Goal 6 NBPEL x 6 MPEG

Long Term Goal 8 NBPEL x 7 MPEG (why not dream BIG?)

If I were to do it all over again I wouldn’t tighten the clamp so much. It’d get erect and measure my girth. Then I’d put on the clamp and use enough clicks to just exceed my unclamped girth. Bends and jelqs would not be used.

Did you ever use more than one clamp consistently? Or did you clamp above the base, or strictly at the base the entire time?


Start - 09/10: BPEL: 5.9" Mid-Shaft EG: 4.5" Base EG: 4.8"

All of my clamping injuries have been spots, broken blood vessels, and a couple of times a tingling numb patch. Yeah, it can be dangerous, as can all of PE. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Go slow, and know your dick.

I can give you an example:

I was clamping while sitting in a low-height chair once. I made the mistake of leaning forward towards the ground to pick something up and tons of blood rushed to my cock. For a second, I thought it was going to burst. Sidelined me for a week. Could have been much, much worse.

This is something you won’t read in “Clamping 101” or anything like that. And if this has never been expressed as a no-no, I wonder what else is out there, ya know?

Anyway, I learned my lesson and continued to clamp off and on for about 6 months. I never encountered a problem again but I read up on just about everything that I could before starting and I was very careful.

I recently started clamping. I have been away from PE for over 10 years but have again become interested.

I try to train with my brain. Ie. It felt too intence recently so I unclicked to reduce the pressure.

It is a funny kind of pressure. The head gets heaps harder than an erection but I find the shaft appears more spongy than an erection. But your girth increases.

Appart from minor spotting the biggest problem has been bulging out of swim shorts at the beach and tightness as my skin is stretching. Skin moves up and down the shaft OK but is really tight if I try and move it left to right.

I want to try applying vitamin E. A friend did this and got rid of all her stretch marks after pregnancy. Take a vitamin E capsule and prick it with a pin. Squeeze the vitamin E out and apply.

And while clamped I sit still and just keep an eye on things.

I’m thinking about buying that air clamp device, since it is wider and softer than a clamp. I think I might do better with that. There are a few guys who have used it and liked it. On the other hand, I am not sure anybody has grown with it.

It can be very dangerous, as others here have found. I have gotten near daily requests by PM for advice and I try to steer people clear of it. Honestly it should be used as a last resort when all other methods have failed. Can be very risky even for vets.

Still waiting for feedback on that air clamp before I take plunge.

You try and steer people clear of the method that you say gained you 2” pretty much record girth gains ?
You’ve been telling people to check out your routine since you joined but if they PM you then you tell them not to ?

I think you need to make sure you’re not sending mixed messages or guys will start to doubt your integrity.

I only used one clamp and it was at the base. I used a cotton wrap and tightened the clamp all the way down.

It’s my integrity I’m worried about. There’s a phrase in the engineering world, “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” When I first joined I was so excited to share my experiences that I directed guys to check out my routines with little thought to their safety. After being here and reading stories such as Titleists, I revamped my routines with warnings and am more aware of what I say to newbies. My conscience prevailed over my ego, and I apologize to anyone who thought of me as arrogant. Everyone has been reminding me I’m a special case and it’s finally hit home. I need to take responsibility as a vet as the others have and do my part to guide others to what is best for them, not for what worked in my situation.

There are excellent alternatives to clamping, and they have the same effect without the point loading that is so hazardous with clamping. When I hang there is the same result as clamping, I will hang with a 70% erection and position the wrap at the base of the penis; you do have to have a relatively secure wrap. When weight is applied it reacts similarly to a clamp except it is a soft interface to the shaft as opposed to the rigidity of a clamp. The effect and exercise is excellent; the corona balloons fabulously and engorgement is maximize without the possibility of damaging blood vessels and the pincer effect on the shaft.

Clamping has a ‘soft interface’ if you have wrapped properly. It is the high pressures involved and the resultant risk of very sudden and quite severe damage that is the problem. The same would occur with the method you are talking about, which is why it is stated time and again here that hanging should only be done with a totally flaccid penis.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.
