I was reading another thread and this subject came up and I wanted to ask this question. Are decondition breaks necessary? Is there anybody here that doesn’t take decondition breaks at all and still break through plateaus?

I think of PE analogously to weight lifting. Keeping the same routine allows your body to adapt to the stresses placed on it (and you stop gaining). To overcome this “plateau phase” you can: 1) change your routine 2) take a decondition break.

So yes, I take breaks.

My opinion is breaks can be helpful. Depends on the circumstances. They seemed to help me at one point.

Weight training and PEing don’t have common goals. PE is more about stretching and expanding connective tissue while avoiding excessive strengthening of the tissues you’re dealing with. Weight training is about forcing adaptation by increasing stresses. Stronger connective tissue there is an asset.

It’s me! I do that!

But I have no choice now. I’ve become a PE-addict. If I don’t pull out my dick several days, I become very anxious. So, it’s better for me to go through a plateau PE-ing than not PE-ing.

Though I don’t preclude that for some people deconditioning breaks can be more beneficial.

Deconditioning breaks are useful for more than just breaking plateaus. After a decon break, you can do a less intensive routine for a while, building up slowly again. This saves a lot of time, if your routine had got a bit long. It also helps avoid injury, if you were having to use very intensive methods to get any gains before the decon break.

And if you were using very intensive methods, and your routine was getting long, where do you go from there? As you get more intensive, discolouration gets worse etc., and eventually you run out of time or intensity.

Far better to take a break long before you get to that stage.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.
