I seem to consistently lose my erection when I jelq before i’m able to complete more than 20 3-second jelqs. Am I doing something wrong, should I apply

more pressure so that no blood can flow out? I don’t get it.

I’ve been at it for a few months and 20-30 is an average consecutive run for me.

There are threads on this which I haven’t read. For me it is just a matter of keeping the right state of arousal by using my imagination.
I often have to stop and do something to increase or decrease my erection level.

Sometimes I can get in the zone where I am both paying attention to the jelqing, and to the fantasy that is keeping the erection up, and get 50 plus strokes in without having to stop.

Keeping the proper erection level is important. For me on either side of the proper erection range are small injuries and or negative PI’s waiting to happen, so I take the time to stop and “modify” my erection level.

If I sit down and Jelq ( vs standing) it is easier for me to maintain the correct amount of erection.

I sit down also and let my nuts hang off the chair or toilet, where ever I’m jelqing, it seems to get better blood flow if they are suspended.

another question i’ve had is if soreness = growth? Does it necessarily mean that you’re growing if you’ve worked your penis out enough to feel that the base is sore when you touch it after your work out? Or should you continue with your routine regardless?

Hello.

It should (not a must) be sore to a certain level. Say on a scale of 1-10, the soreness should be like 2 or 3, maximum 4 and that’s pushing it.

From what you are describing clearly it’s a bit too much.

I believe that you must have a look to Sparkyxx thread on P.I. Even if you did, have a look at it again.
