Warm-wrap vs. Cold-wrap

Warm-wrap vs. Cold-wrap

In the Jelq video tutorial, it says that you can conclude your Jelq session with either a warm or cold wrap. It seems to me that a cold-wrap would cause your unit to turtle up, which I believe would be counterproductive. Does it really not matter whether you use a warm or cold wrap?

I’m not really qualified to say a cold wrap is worse, but I really like the warm wrap because it’s like a “spa” for the willy. It feels like a reward for the work I just put in.

I feel the same way. Nothing like a warm bath for my dick after a strenuous workout. But is there anybody out there who can speak definitively to this issue?

I think maybe the reason would be if your jelqing session was a bit too strenuous you will cause a lot of inflammation thus the cold wrap to stop the swelling?

I actually experimented with a ‘cold-down’ after reading a detailed post on the Main Members proclaiming its benefits (stiffening the ligs into an elongated shape, among others). Only thing that happened to me was lots of discolouration, and a loss in size. I had to stop PE for a few months. Keep it hot people! :)

Can any one tell me the reasons for warm wrapping before and after PE sessions. Is it needed for hanging too? Isn’t it bad to warm our testicles? I’m confused with these questions . Please help

I think one of the reasons is that it helps minimize damage to your dong. I also read on this site that warm wraps can also aid in reversing discoloration. Also, you don’t wrap your testicles - just the penis. It sounds like you need to read some more because I think alot of this info is in the PE/Newbie Intro.

Good luck.

Warm-ups are to get the penile tissue into a ‘pliable’, more ‘stretchy’ form. It also helps blood-flow through the capillaries (veins?), thus minimizing any possible injury. A warm-down has a similar effect to an ADS: keeps the pliable penile tissue in a stretched and elongated shape. A personal favourite and time-saving exercise of mine - boasting all the above listed benefits - is to run hot water over your penis, whilst simultaneously massaging it. The temperature being alterable instantly and there are presumably billions of trillions, heated, H20-atoms hitting your penis and transmitting their kinetic energy every second - many more when compared a hot towel.

Extreme heat to the testicles is indeed bad. (I am not sure at precisely what temperature harm is likely, but I believe it to be moderately high - think of volcanic baths and the alike, very hot but still good for you.) Your body should, however, involuntarily withdraw from the heat if it is near a harmful temperature.

You will be surprised how much heat the shaft can directly take.

This is confusing taking the analogy of an ankle sprain (very simplistic; microscopic damage; over-stretched ligaments but not torn). The treatment for an ankle sprain is RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). I understand the concept of the heat wrap is to enhance blood flow; however, is this conducive to the healing process? It conflicts with my ankle sprain theory.

Could someone please enlighten me.

If you have an ankle sprain I doubt the paramedic would take the opportunity to extend your damaged leg a few millimetres, now would he? He’d want it to go back to normal – how it was before the injury. With PE however we specifically desire the extension of the ligaments. Heat will help this. Cold will ‘stiffen’ the ligaments, yes - but the cold is undesirable when looking at the rest of the penis: the penile tissue, capillaries, veins, etc. – as was personally observed in my contagious spread of discolouration when attempting to stiffen my ligs in an extended shape with a cold-down.

RICE is for the first 24 hours to stop swelling and bleeding. After that, heat is used…mostly (long discussion involved in going through exceptions).

For PE, you should not be inducing swelling and bleeding (duh) so heat is better for all the reasons stated above.

It also seems to help recovery from a vigorous workout…especially in early stages of PE.

Many vets report it isn’t as important later on….then again the PE method used effects that observed reaction.
