Hello everyone!
Now, let’s start this off with a little bit of background information on me and why I finally chose to invest my time in PE.

I have been a lurker here on Thunder’s place for QUITE some time, but I have never actually put the effort into it. I am 19, turning 20 this upcoming January. I am the stereotypical Asian man with a less than average sized penis in comparison to other races. However, unlike other Asians, I suck at math, which is really odd, haha. I recently started going through changes in my life and it’s a liberating feeling. I’ve quit old habits, lessened the cigarettes smoked, and become honest with myself and with others. I recently enrolled at my local community college after a year break after graduating high school and my grades are UP! However, I want my penis size to go up just like my grades.

WHY?

Why do I want my penis size to increase? This was a question I really had to ask myself and answer honestly before I actually put PE into practice.

I know my soul mate is waiting out there for me. Although I know that she will love me as I am, I still would want to satisfy her in more than just an emotional, spiritual way. I do like to perform cunnilingus, so I know that will come in handy with the future Mrs. I also do not want to have sex before marriage, so this PE is not to get other girls in the sheets; I wouldn’t feel right doing this to have sex with other girls. I am also doing this for a confidence boost as I don’t really feel like a man.. I am doing this for MYSELF and for HER, where ever or whoever she might be. I am doing this because I have a horrible avoidance issue, which exacerbates other problems in my life. I am sick of not being the person I innately am. I am doing this because I feel like this is a stepping stone for me to fully be able to commit to something.

Anyways, enough with the sob story, lol.
I will be using the Newbie routine of 5 Minutes of Hot Wrap, 5 Minutes of Manual Stretches ( 10 x 30 second strokes, ) 10 Minutes of jelqing (200 x 3 second strokes,) 5 Minutes of Hot Wrap, 50 Kegels of 5 second holds
2 days on, 1 Day off. I will be using the POWER JELQ DEVICE as described in this link: Homemade Power Jelq, a Jelq Device . Tools are meant to make work easier, no?

Why am I using the power jelq device? After trying it out, I felt a warm, uncomfortable-ness in my penis, which I never felt with my hands when jelqing. I read somewhere on these forums that the warm, soreness is the feeling you should be feeling after a successful jelq session.

Here are my stats, and I will be providing pics in my next post.
BPEL: 5.250 INCHES
EL: 4.5 INCHES
EG: 4.250 INCHES (measured girth at the scar line)
BP FL: ? —-> I can’t measure this because every time I touch my flaccid penis, it starts to get bigger, so I can’t provide an accurate measurement. I will provide this information at a later time :)

FG: 3.250 INCHES

Goals:
EL: 6.5 INCHES
EG: 5 INCHES

Also, before I hurt myself with this jelq device, how does one use it correctly?
How much pressure should I apply?
Should I push the device all the way to my pubic bone?
Do I use the foam on the sides of penis or the front/back?
Do I necessarily need lube?

Does jelqing while having a harder erection ( 80% ) increase girth or length?

I’m a newbie myself but I’ve read many posts stating that the higher the erection level the more you’re focusing on girth and the lower the erection level the more you’re focusing on length.

About using a jelqing device I’d recommend you to stick to your hands until you learn to jelq properly (this can take a lot of time!). Once you know you’re doing it good you’ll be able to choose what’s really better for you

I understand your point about sticking to my hands ( got to learn to crawl before you walk ) but if you are a newbie yourself, I don’t see how that recommendation is valid.

Have you ever used the device yourself?

The device allows for better traction and grip in my short lived experiences. I put pressure on the clamps, and I take my other hand and roll the cushion part up and I can feel the blood in my veins being focused a lot more than when I use my hands.

Again, I don’t mean to be rude, but I see why you would recommend me being used to my hands first.

And, do I necessarily have to do the manual stretches and warm-ups before I start jelqing?
Are 200 strokes completely necessary as well? If I start out with 100 well done strokes and work my way up, is that the better way to go?

Is it just a matter of personal preference and what works for an individual?

I didn’t mean to say it is better to jelq with your hands. What I wanted to state is that I wouldn’t let manual jelqing completely off my routine because many people realise after 4 months of jelqing that they were jelqing wrong the whole time. I myself have improved my jelqing technique to a point in which 50 new-style jelqs are far more intense than 250 old jelqs. Maybe when you get more experience jelqing and learn how to properly grip and push the blood you’ll notice that it is even better than the jelqing device. Or maybe not, who knows. But it is then when you’ll be able to choose wisely.

Either way manual jelqs will be always of use for you: stealth jelqing, jelqing in the shower, jelqing when you’re not home, focusing the pressure on the low section of your penis.

Sorry for the stupid questions when I should have been looking at the site. Tons of great information. To those that had the same questions as I did:

Power Jelq

Warm up, apply lubrication, and achieve the appropriate level of erection.
Hold the device with one hand on the two handles, palm facing the body. If using the device horizontally (I.e. On the top and bottom of the shaft), use the other hand to grasp the foam rollers. If using the device vertically (I.e. On the sides of the shaft), use the other hand to hold the base of the shaft. This will prevent slippage and/or twisting of the penis during the exercise.
Open the handles and allow the rollers to slide onto the shaft. Push the device all the way to the pubic bone and then push a little farther, lightly squeezing the handles. This will pull the penis out of the body slightly and begin to force blood into the shaft. Alternatively, a light OK grip can be applied to the base, holding back loose skin and slowing down return blood flow.
Close the handles, gripping down firmly and begin to pull out and away from the body, up the penile shaft and toward the glans, concentrating on trapping and moving blood through the shaft. The grip should be tight enough that the rollers lock up, and only turn very slightly (if at all) when pulling upwards toward the glans.
The stroke should end an inch or so below the base of the glans. If performed correctly, the glans should be so engorged that the device cannot slide off the shaft without the grip being loosened.
Loosen the grip on the handles, sliding the rollers to the base of the shaft and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Concerning the last sentence of your response, should I start the stroke at the extreme base of the penis aka pushing down on the pubic bone?

I don’t get what you mean with ‘warm soreness’, but you shouldn’t feel any ‘uncomfortable-ness’ in your penis. The fellow is right, stick to your hands for a few months.

And 200 jelqs is too much for an newbie. Before you go down the labour saving route, try the Linear Newbie Routine linked here: Important Newbie Threads/Info.

The tried and true methods really are the best when starting out. Devices don’t give you the best feel for what you are doing.

Is the newbie routine that is linked above for intermediate newbies?

I just checked out the linear routine that firegoat recommended, and it looks a lot more apprehensive and simple, especially for a beginner like me. So thank you very much for your recommendation firegoat.

After consideration of bl1nd’s and marinera’s advice, I think I will first do the manual hand jelq technique first to get the feel of what the proper technique is.

By the way, what kind of sensations should I feel during a proper jelq, and after a proper session?

I may drop in my advice as a newbie after a few weeks of experience.
Jelqing is a manual art, and the only way is to learn it by practice.

I stepped up linearly within the first 6 weeks and I am very happy I did resist the temptation to over-train! Especially after the first 4-weekly control measuring, the temptation to go full throttle was immense because I measured some progress!. But, and I suppose it is an important but, patience pays more back than rushing in. In my eyes, the step-up process should be even recommended to last full 3 months. As an ancient long-distance runner, I know by experience that the body needs some time to adapt to new training stress until it produces the desired results.

I pay a lot of attention to the signals my body gives me, and by jelqing by hand I resist the temptation to build up too much pressure. The blood vessels can get injured otherwise. And exactly because I am a Newbie I go slow at the start (the first 3-6 months). And I keep a very detailed logbook on a daily base what I did or did not do to my best friend which I want to be healthy for the rest of our common life. This is he absolute top priority! If something goes wrong you need to know why and what did it..

Patience is a male virtue ;-)

Thanks Richard65. I’ve been doing more research, and I will provide more links/info for other newbies as well that I think are good information:

Day 4:
I took yesterday off, I am 2 Days on and 1 day off.
After taking this advice, I feel a tingly, itchy and pleasant sensation around the urethra area and expansion of the glans, and my flaccid has been bigger after few jelqs as if blood flows better to my penis. After the session, junior actually swung! I have never swung before in a flaccid state. About 10 minutes of 3-5 second strokes, alternating between underhand and overhand. I feel as if the overhand technique lets me get a better grasp of junior more than underhand. I will report back tomorrow for positive PI’s.

I have started to use grapeseed oil as a lubricant and bought L-Arginine and L-Lysine. 3000mgs of Arginine and 1500mgs of Lysine daily, as well as omega-3 fish oil pills. I’m also cutting down on the cancer sticks and eating healthier.

Also, I highly recommend grapeseed oil as a lube. You can actually see the metaphor of squeegeeing honey off a stack taking place.
