Does anyone else think 5.5 girth is pretty damn big

I’m pretty much 6” MEG but I have a missile shaped dick. So probably around 5.75 at the head and base. I know that’s a fair bit bigger than average but it honestly doesn’t seem that big to me. When I see amatuer porn most look about my size. I don’t get it.

The things I’d do to get 5 inches + of girth.. I’m a bit jealous most of you guys start already above 4.5 inches.

A pattern I see is those of us who ARE 5.5 -5.75) don’t really think much of it (meaning we don’t consider ourselves “big”) and those who are under 5” would lose their pinky tip for it. Then take the guys who are 5.75-6 or 6+ and at that point you’ll find some who may say they want more, but who also can’t deny the fact that they are fortunate/blessed to have what they have.

So I’ll summarize (my experience) to say that 5.5 is NOT big and certainly not huge. I suppose it depends on how you define the word “big”. As “big” is like “huge” to some, and “above average” to others.

5.5 “above average” or “almost big”, “kinda thick”
5.75 “big”, “thick”
6-6.25”+ “very big”, “very thick”
6.5-7”+ “huge”, “beastly”, “scary thick”

I can tell you that no girl will think you have a pencil dick at 5.5 and up. But you also won’t get too many telling you how thick you are unless they are extremely inexperienced or they just want to boost your ego and make you feel good about yourself.
As far as sex, I’ve never met a girl who’s had a problem with my girth (now 5.5/5.7/6 from top/middle/bottom). I have encountered issues on length (depth), but never girth. By and large very few girls felt super tight, and if they did feel tight, as others have mentioned, once you get going and they get super wet that feeling will go away meaning most of their vaginas were able to expand and accommodate me width-wise essentially without issue. I’ve been with both experienced and inexperienced. Those “in the know” will know it’s not thin/small, but, it is my personal belief that they also won’t jump for joy unless you’re at the 6” or 6.25”+ category (msg), this I say from conversations I’ve had with girls (it’s almost ALWAYS about the girth, assuming you’re at least low average in length)

In my opinion the ideal practical girth lies within 5.25-6.25.

My reasoning:
The lower on that scale can do it all. It is still above average and it can do anal and receive blow jobs with relative ease from most of the female population. 5.75 is big, will definitely please all even the bigger vaginas, may encounter some issues with anal and with some-to-most girls will eventually lead to jaw fatigue/teeth. 6-6.25” will be sexual bliss to girls, but for some it may cause soreness, for many it will affect anal, and for most it will make receiving bjs from them difficult. You’ll really have to just hope you can find a girl with a big mouth because otherwise there will be teeth and their jaws will get tired quickly.

So it’s really about where your priorities lie, combined with what percentage of the female population you want to impress. 5.25 will be deemed adequate by any experienced girl and sufficient by maybe even the size queen, 6.25 will make jaws drop and size queens happy.

Lastly, a bit of an anecdote. My penis is tapered, starting smaller and getting thicker. My head is smaller than my msg usually unless it’s fully engorged then it’s closer to my base girth. Maybe, for me, this has meant that putting it in is easier as the thickness gradually increases. But one thing that is always true, with close to two dozen girls, after being well into a sex session, when I kegel and squeeze my head, they all react. Average girth according to studies are between 4.5 to 5. At least in most of them.

I guess it all depends on the size of the mouth.

I’m always surprised when people say ‘women with think/say this’ about certain sizes. Women come across the same spectrum of dick sizes that gay and bisexual men do, and in the real world (outside of porn and men’s own self-perception) penises over 5.5” girth are quite rare, and anything around the 6” mark is like rocking-horse shit.

I’ve slept with women with very large breasts, but I’ve never felt the need to say ‘wow… you have the largest breasts of any woman I’ve slept with’ or ‘your tits are so huge’. Women just don’t feel the need to comment on cock size most of the time, unless they know you are very insecure about it, in which case most experienced women will say something to let you know they are happy with your size. If you are large and a woman doesn’t comment on it, it doesn’t mean they are not impressed. :)

Just for anyone who hasn’t read it all, I’ll summarise it:

For guys who are smaller than 5.5”, it’s pretty damn big.
For guys who are over 5.5” it’s a good size but it’s not pretty damn big.

Women will be impressed when they see it, but probably won’t spend several minutes telling you what an amazingly huge cock you have. And most women wouldn’t do that if it was 6”+ either, although some may obliquely say it when they tell you “I may have problems getting that thing in”. :)

Same here, I get teeth by midshaft and even moreso at the bottom (where it’s 6”). And as Titleist says, the size of the mouth obviously plays a role. But when you get into the “big” territory (around the 6” mark), I think a partner with a bigger mouth is almost required (if bjs matter to you). And if you have a partner with a small mouth, then you may get frustrated (not to mention their poor jaws).

A bit off topic, but sometimes, just sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to be smaller - I suppose it’s the equivalent of being flaccid - because then receiving deepthroat would be a more common occurrence.
