Dietary supplements

Dietary supplements

First of all, let me say I’m very wary of penis pills which are advertised all over the media—I’m of course, suspicious of anyone who’s trying to sell you a miracle drug…

However, reading some of the threads (this one in particular: Patience… ), I did notice that some take dietary supplements, herbs, etc. for better penile health and growth.

What is your standing on this? From what I gather on this site, most people seem to favour manual exercises as opposed to pumps and other devices, but I was curious if anyone used dietary supplements…if so, which supplements in particular?

Thanks.

I am also skeptical. I don’t really know enough to comment more than that though. There is pretty good evidence that some supplements (especially water) can increase ejaculate volume. Water also helps to “pump up” flaccid hang.

I think if you are looking at supplements you first need to look at your diet and what it is lacking. If you are good and healthy you probably don’t need any supplements and I don’t think there is any case for the large list mentioned in that thread.

That said supplements can aid you, especially if you find it difficult to maintain an erection during a jelqing session. Some people here seem to use generic Viagra others use a range of different supplements. As I’m not a supplement guru I decided to buy a ready made combo Male Response, it works pretty well and certainly helped improve my erections on a temporary basis. Using that kind of thing for a month or two is probably fine but if you want to have permanently good penile health then its the diet that counts.

There are a fair number of pumpers here and people who pump and jelq are not uncommon. Also we have many hangers here whether the majority is purely manual I don’t know but its a good place to start for anyone.

Mem, are you saying that some supplements can make your penis “healthier” or can lead to “growth”?

I don’t think any supplement leads to growth directly but if you can’t maintain a decent erection naturally for the length of a jelq session (and lets face it jelqing is boring) they can help.

I see. Here is my personal opinion.

Supplements for temporary growth — maybe, but their are probably cheaper methods (water, jelqing, pumping)
supplements for permanent growth — very very unlikely
supplements for penile health — what in the heck does “health” mean anyways
supplements to aid erections (vasodilation) — sounds reasonable
supplements to increase sex drive — also sounds reasonable

Men’s Health magazine rated Centrum Silver (Yes Silver) as the best overall vitamin supplement for men. Coming in second place was One-A-Day for Men.

For aid in getting erections and also in increasing cum loads, L-arginine is a very popular supplement. You will find that many of the “miracle” pills that claim 3 inches growth use L-arg as a main ingredient. Although these pills don’t work as far as gaining size goes, the L-arg does aid some guys as previously described. I haven’t looked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if L-arg wasn’t a main ingredient in the Male Response pills that Mem mentioned above. L-arginine is an amino acid normally found in the body and foods, these pills just boost your levels.

Its not. Its all the ginko blah blah blah (I don’t even read my posts).

Yes they are and you are absolutely right they do have l-arginine. I wonder if ever knew that?

Anyway good pills and thats a good price. I got mine from outletnutrition but then I have to think about delivery over the pond and not all companies do that for some reason.
