Deflated Glans and Firm Flaccid: Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

I know it sucks, but like you said, it could be much worse. You should be able to recover your EQ, and it’s good that its isolated to the glans. I did notice when I laid off PE my flaccid got a lot smaller for the first week (not firm), then went back to normal, although EQ sucked for several weeks. After waiting 5 weeks, I kick started things with 50 mg viagra and the first time it was rock solid for over an hour (better than before). Now, without viagra I’d say it’s about 95%, but I do think it’s a little less full in the glans as well. If your EQ doesn’t improve soon, you might want to try the same. See posts by daysdrag, that’s what he did as well (after many months).

BTW, that was radiologist, not urologist, although you’ll probably want to find one who specializes in urology. You obviously don’t want someone who just does varicose veins in peoples legs. :) Here’s a link that describes what they do, this is on leg veins, but you’ll get the idea, and they do talk about ligation.

I just went to the thread you got that steinkill quote from, going to read through it. From what I can tell, it appears that this issue IS IN FACT VENOUS LEAKAGE albeit comparatively minor to some of the horror storys I’ve seen in the past. That’s quite clear to me now, and pressing down on the dorsal vein while erect does seem to prevent the glans from deflating.

So I guess it’s good to have a diagnosis, but its a slightly depressing one. I wonder if PE actually has any effect on venous leakage.

QsQ talks about ‘interventionalist urologists’. I’ll have to look into that.

I’m too young for this shit :(

I know it must be depressing because you’ve noticed the change in your dick, but remember that whether or not glans softness is caused by “venous leakage,” you are only transitioning from a lucky minority to the normal majority of adult men if your glans is no longer “inflated” during a typical erection.

Given your story and others, I do wonder whether certain types of PE may promote glans softness in those men who normally have an inflated glans with erection. I’m pretty sure that like most men, I always had a soft glans, but maybe PE played some role. I can’t remember.

WoW. Wrong thread

PG the more I experiment the more I realise the issue is actually more than just a soft glans. The whole physiology of my penis has shifted, and maintaining an erection is more difficult, and I haven’t been able to perform a number of times, even with only ejaculating once or twice a week, whereas it used to be 10, minimum.

I’ll take a photo soon, and shift this thread.

Something else I noticed is that after massaging and squashing the superficial dorsal vein (or at least that area) near the base of my penis, the ‘leakage’ was momemtarily alleviated, almost as if (in my reasoning), the - assuming it is a leak - had been squished or mashed together with the surrounding tissue, preventing the soft glans or quickened loss of erection.

This thread oh, Fuck. I have a Venous Leak- Invictus’ thread indicates that this problem, if it is venous leakage, can actually be ‘cured’ pretty easily with a minor, non-invasive, induced embolizm. The science makes sense to me, the restricted vein causes surrounding tissue to naturally re-innervate nwe blood vessels that will not leak. It seems the issue is finding a competent interventional radiologist who’s willing to try it.

A final thought, after reading the above thread, it seems that several urologists have actually suggested that venous leakage is actually a gentic trait, and that some some will be prone to it more than others, eg you can have it minimally and probably not notice, but then may do something which makes it worse, causing it to become apparent. This makes sense to me, I’ve never found it REALLY easy to maintain an erection even when I’m horny as fuck. This difficulty has increased since the ‘change’.

This thought could actually open up quite a large can of worms in terms of many phenomona that people report experincing in terms of how they find PE affects them, though of course it’d be purely speculation. One example that comes to mind is people’s - people such as me - response to clamping. I always found it very difficult to get clamping to work. Even with two clamps, it was a struggle to keep enough blood in there so as to remain engorged. And i’d often resort to sitting in funny positions to cause a large blood pressure build up in my crotch. Otherwise I couldn’t get it to work properly. If there’s a leak somewhere on the dorsal side (since I always clamp on the horizontal sides) this could contribute to making it difficult to clamp properly. Just a thought.

Tweaking, I think I posted this before. This is a case being discussed by doctors who are members of the ISSM. They bring up two possibilities: dorsal nerve issue or fibrosis (scar tissue). One doctor has even had success in patients with surgery (with and without ligation) but still did not pinpoint the exact cause (WTF?).

Seems that either leaks or fibrosis can cause similar symptoms. Finding the right doctor to diagnose/treat it might be difficult, but worth the effort.

At a cursory glance that looks quite interesting CG. I’ll read through it more thoroughly when I get some time (if I ever get time, law school, pah).

It seems that doctor wasn’t sure of the cause because he didn’t have enough patients for control trials. Hah, no surprises there!

My immediate reaction would be to discount fibrosis in my case since the degradation of glans inflation happened literally after one sexual act. My understanding is that fibrosis is a slow process at best, and sudden massive fibrosis such as would be required to suddenly cause an issue such as this would require some serious shit to go down, like having an arm cut off.

You’ve referred to ligation. Is that an analogous procedure to artificial embolism? It sounds like it achieves a similar result.

I’m very sorry to hear this, Tweaking :(

How often have you been masturbating? My erection quality and frequency drops massively if I’m not masturbating or having sex very often…

That makes sense, considering the sudden onset. I’m really not sure about the technical differences in the techniques. If you haven’t seen it, you might want to look at these:

After taking a 5 or so week break, I decided to start jelqing and hanging again. After being reduced to smouldering rubble, my EQ has been massively boosted back to super-human by about 3 short weeks of 2day on 1 day off jelqing. The soft glans remains mostly unaffected, though is slightly less noticeable due to the increase EQ. In this last week, I’ve noticed that during the jelqing the glans have stayed more inflated throughout the session, and the actual feeling of jelqing has been much more pleasurable, after some sensitivity had degraded.

I’ve also noticed the occasional sharp pang of pain in the base of my penis and even what feels like an electrical/nervous pain that eminates from between my balls and crack (the gouch?) and spreads outwards. Haven’t managed to be consistent with kegels though.

I do not believe jelqing (or hanging) is having any beneficial or deleterious effect on the actual cause of the soft glans. I would be less confident about clamping, which I’m not going to experiment with just yet since it is not unlikely that it was the actual cause of the injury to begin with.

Still haven’t gotten around to seeing a urologist and ultimately an interventional radiologist. It’s still on the list.

A Weight Off My Shoulders

I don’t think your problem is as bad as you seem to think it is. From your story you performed fine without any hiccup and gave the girl the best night(s) of her life. When you’re alone and playing with your dick it’s like these problems seem to just manifest themselves.

I'm a big fan of 50 Cent, or as we call him in Zimbabwe, four hundred million dollars.

As bad as I seem to think it is? Exactly how bad do I seem to think it is? No it’s not crippling but it’s also not the way it should be. During that entire episode in that thread my glans were deflated which means a massively reduced enjoyment for me, though she probably barely noticed. It also meant I was kegeling almost the whole time to stay hard.

The other thing I should mention is I’ve been taking horny goat weed prior to sex, to be safe, which obviously helps maintaining.

Fortunately for me, my case of this seems relatively minor compared to some of the reports I’ve read, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still matter a lot to me. Not a perfect example but imagine losing one of your ring fingers. You could still pick up anything and your hand works more or less just fine, but it’s not the same is it?

I’m hoping this thread will be useful to other people, too.

Whats your libido like? Do you actually have a physical urge to have sex?
How do you feel in general? Stressed or anxious? Fatigued?

The reason I ask is that I have had all the symptoms you are having and I think it’s an arousal problem rather then something wrong with your penis. It’s got something to do with hormones and then the PE on top of that is exhausting your sexual function.

I am having great results from using magnesium oil, I wrote about it in the “firm flaccid penis” thread so have a read of that. My flaccid is softer, my glans gets shiney when erect, but more importantly my libido has increased alot and I have a strong urge to have sex/ejaculate.

Your probably thinking you get erections all the time so how can it be libido? I was the same, you have the natural ability to get erections without being aroused. I got frequent erections but the quality was down, also
I thought about sex all the time but my symptoms didn’t lessen until that physical urge got stronger.

You also mention you take MDMA and honestly that could be where your problem came from. I have mates that regularly take it and there sex lives have gone down the toilet. I’ve read on the internet of guys complaining of these symptoms for months after only taking it once. Initially it’s a hormone problem that can develop into physical problems once your penis function is reduced. I wouldn’t PE for a while and try the magnesium oil.

Thanks for the reply Token.

I believe my libido is quite high. I feel the urge (but resist) to ejaculate every day, even if I already have that day. I get hard very easily but the glans doesn’t stay inflated and without constant stimulation I lose the erection (relatively) quickly.

I’m not really a stressed or anxious person, this is probably the biggest issue in my life at right now it’s not prohibitive, especially since I’m already taking the HGW, so it’s not a huge anxious factor for me.

I do get a lot of ‘natural erections’ and they are usually the most noticeably deflated glans.

I haven’t taken MDMA for about 8 months, these symptoms sprung up after taking an MDMA analogue which I was told was MDxx, it didn’t have much effect, and that was 2 or 3 months ago.

A cursory glance at that monster thread didn’t yeild information about the Magnesium Oil, could you tell me a bit more? Where did you get it? Price? Mode of action?

Ok literally just noticed another symptom, the deflation of the CS, at all times except near the PONR. Basically the expansion of the CS seems to follow the same pattern as the glans. This explains a reduction of sensitivity and more of a ‘barrel’ feel to the shaft that I’d been experiencing yet unable to pin-point the cause of.

This also explains the loss of a bit of girth I’ve also noticed. When I kegel, the CS and glans swell to normal untill I release the kegel. This occurs unless I apply pressure dorsally to the dorsal vein(s).
