Intro and a question about a simple routine

Hey everyone,

Thought I’d finally stop lurking and join in the gainful (pun intended) discussions I’ve quietly been reading for the last month.

First: I have read the FAQS, I have searched all of my questions, and I have easily read over 50 threads over the last month. As for taking action, I’ve been doing the newbie routine with a little water pumping (I have a Bathmate) 2 days on-1 day off for the last three weeks. I have so much more to read and to learn, I’m reminded every time I open a thread. I’m only saying this so you understand I’m taking responsibility for my own education, and I don’t ask questions out of laziness. I sincerely try to do my own research but sometimes I can’t find what I’m looking for so I eventually ask. (For any other newbies, here is a useful thread about how to improve your search results: How to use the Search button for best results) And whenever I create a thread such as this one, even when I am asking a question for my own gain, I will try to include as much helpful information as I can to help the next newbie take advantage of this amazing forum.

That’s my promise, so moving on..

==What I’ve done so far
For the last month I did worked up to the following newbie routine as follows:

> 5-10 min. Heat w/ rice sock
> 10-12 min. Manual stretching (started with 30s down-up-left-right-BTC, gradually increased to 60 sec. Down-up-BTC-up for 3 rounds/12 minutes)
> 10 min. Slow jelqs
> 1x15 min. Bathmate (only added this this week)

==Initial mistakes
I went too hard when I first started, realized I should back off, and from then on made sure I was doing the following two thing:

1) Following reasonable force thresholds: Understanding force thresholds for growth, and
2) Maintaining excellent physiological indicators: Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!

Immediately backing off after reading those posts restored my positive PIs and my EQ was excellent. I highly recommend any other newbies to read those two threads and learn from them well.

==My future routine
After this week I’ll be done with my first month of consistent PE, and I think it’s time to expand my routine. (Haha) I have a lot of ideas to look into and a lot of questions to find answers for.

I was considering a routine based in using the Bathmate and jelqs for girth and stretches for length. For the record, I own a Phallosan Forte as well. Long story, don’t ask. XD The end result is that I have it now, and I’ve been wearing it for the last couple of weeks for about 3-5 hours a day, at the outer edge of the green intensity. This is where I find my PIs stay positive. Any more intense than that and I get negative PIs.

I was thinking I’d start the following routine 2 days/1 day off and then try 5 days on/2 days off and see if I got any negative PIs.

> 5-10 min. Heat
> 12 minutes manual stretches 3 sets of (1 min. Each: down-up-BTC-up)
> 10 minutes jelqing
> 1x15 Bathmate
+ PhallosanForte for 3-5 hours on most days.

How does that sound to you guys? Would love to meet you and hear your thoughts.

Cheers~ TI

Two question:

1. Should my rest days be a complete break from all things PE or is it all right in your experience to do piss pulls and use a light extender like the Phallosan Forte?

To research what works the most consistently, I’ve been following toobsnake’s advice in his Almost 40% bigger in 8 months thread, and focus on finding the people here who have achieved incredible things using PE and carefully studying their methods and their thoughts. People I’ve been reading a lot of so far are ThoughtfulGold, Momento, Monochrome, SparkyX, Spruce, Titleist, and others. I’m sure there are many more of you out there, and I can’t wait to find and read your posts. I may be a lurker in the light, but I’m still in the phase where I want to read almost all the posts from the last 15 years of Thunder’sPlace.. If any of you guys can direct me to more members with amazing results, I would sure appreciate the pointer.

Leading into my second question..

2. Does anybody know of anyone here who has used a mostly pump/manual stretches routine to achieve anything significant? If I could simplify my core routine to pump/manual stretches w/ less frequent jelqs that would be neat.

Cheers~ TI

In my opinion it sounds like a bit much. Killl the bathmate and PF. Stick to the newbie routine. When those gains have ceased get a cylinder and pump that you can track pressure. It’s very important in your growth and progress when pumping. I’d add to get a source of constant heat. I recommend an electric space heater.

Are you going for girth?
If yes, I would change the schedule to 1 ON followed by 1 OFF (weekends off).

On rest days, I would keep myself on edging or sex.

Well…first off, welcome to Thunders! Reading is like 87% of what we all so here. So studying is good. Saves time, money and injury.

Second, I’m flattered to make your list. Thanks man. But I ain’t no wizard, I don’t issue emerald sunglasses. Ain’t no magic in my methods. *chuckles*

Third, I agree with Titleist. Too much to start with is bad. If it doesn’t burn you now, there’s a good chance it will within the next 6 weeks.

Additionally this early on newbie gains don’t need heavy routines to give you results. So you run a risk of tripping yourself up even if you don’t actually get injured. My theory is that newbie gains are mostly ligament driven, this is old hat theory I picked up at X4 but it’s something that seems to bear out in a lot of schools of thought. Exhaust your potential with the newbie routine first. This will condition you to use your devices better and give you a better understanding of them.

The devices are fine. I’m a device guy. But too many too soon ain’t no way to go. Also, pumping in the newbie gains phase is hit or miss. Too much pressure and you can toughen the ligaments that are ready to give gains. Too much pressure with no gauge (like Bathmate) and you are hurt without realizing it till the morning wood is missing. Pumping is something I recommend after your first or second plateau. That’s when the raw force it can offer is more needed and appreciated.

The best theory I’ve run across and that I subscribe to in my own endeavors is to find the least amount of force needed to cause gains. Then stay with that and leave it as is, while offering variety in the routine and tune the rest of it. I never look for the most force I can apply safely. I prefer the least needed for my purpose. This leaves more options later and reduces my injury risks.

Rest days for me are edging, sex or nothing at all. I’m not scared to do nothing on a rest day.

You have a long time to play with and try new things. Just relax, ride the newbie routine out and research the next thing you want to try. One at a time. I used to bundle devices and exercises by theorizing in my head. Never panned out as planned. Just ease up some, feel out how your penis reacts to PE. Then do it.

Now: 9" BPEL x 6" MSEG as of 12/16/2016 This is my story...and a few progress pics of me here.

Then: 6.25" x 4.37" in 8/2009 Are you new to PE? Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

My big secret? My methods. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *8* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith. Also Fitness helps too.

Listen to this man!!

I have been a lurker for quite some time and went through the whole bathmate phase for a month and got nothing out of it. Then I went to the newbie routine did that for like 3 weeks and thought everything was going fine.. Until I just measured yesterday for shits and giggles and realized I lost size in girth. After completely freaking out I searched forums on here like a mad man and decided to cut way way way back and now I just started jelqing for only 5 to 8 minutes 2 days on and 1 off. I’ll be measuring again in a month to see what happens.

My only advice is don’t try to go over board with crazy stuff. Sometimes less is more in the early stages.

1/14/2017- BPEL 6.5 EG 4.5

If you’ve had a recent loss in size, just quit PE for a couple weeks to a month. Recover from it completely before continuing. This way any stress you put your body through has healed. Why fight your penis to get back size you started with? Rest, recover, start again fresh with an edge.

Titleist,

Thanks for your input. I know the Bathmate isn’t ideal due its inability to track pressure, but it still gives me a good temporary result and positive PIs if I keep the pressure quite low. Nevertheless, I’m taking it out as advised. Hopefully by the end of the year I’ll be in the position to get a good pump with a pressure gauge (possible an LA Pump https://www.lapump.com.au/shop/ since I hear they’re excellent). I’ll also take out the PF, although it hurts my heart to have that kind of tool just sitting around not being used.. You sure it wouldn’t do me any good to use it as a light ADS?

I should probably mention that I have done a little PE a couple of years ago, but it involved just a few minutes of manual stretches and then using the Bathmate (while flaccid) a few times a week for a couple of months. Nothing very consistent but gained about .5” EL and some girth which I still have. Do I still have beginner gains to make? I guess I should start measuring more regularly to track this better.

And I’ll start using a space heater from now on. I love that idea.

Yes, but I think I of length as my primary focus. Once I have a decent length, I’ll re-adjust to more of a balance between the two. Thanks for the advice on edging, I should start that for sure!

But seriously, thanks for your sage advice.

I guess the reason I was so eager to really get into pumping is because it’s so simple.. I just love simple but effective methods where the work is what counts. I guess that’s why a pump + extender/manual stretching based routine appeals to me so much. At any rate, I will continue with the newbie routine, adding time to the exercises as directed until I max it out. I’ll go ahead and continue that program until I stop seeing results, and then I’ll look into purchasing a good pump.

Ah yes, variety.. I’ve read your “https://www.thundersplace.org/penis-enlargement/thoughtfulgolds-penis-enlargement-as-scheduled-trauma-theory.html” thread. :D I was planning on using it as a basis for my future program, but that is postponed for now until it is necessary.

You’re a big proponent of variety, how would one achieve that with the Newbie routine? Is it even possible/necessary at first?

Ugh, sorry to hear that happened to you, MrMachine. I’ve been careful with the intensity and sensitive to my PIs so thankfully I’ve never had that extreme of a reaction. As long as I kept the Bathmate pressure at a comfortable level, I’d leave the session pretty swole with all positive PIs. Still, based on what I’ve read, tracking pump pressure is pretty darn important so I’m off it.

THANKS everyone for your insight!

Cheers~ TI

Variety at this point has no real purpose.

I push it after the Newbie Routine for several reasons.

1. What good is variety without any level of conditioning? The Newbie Routine establishes both a baseline of physical ability and endurance as well as strengthen your penis for future more taxing manuevers.

2. Most men don’t see it through to its end. So suggesting multiple exercises and wasting money on devices when guys often get frustrated with jelqing is needless and wasteful.

3. You don’t know what you’re doing. You can’t. Newbie Routine is like your Temporary Licence. I wouldn’t recommend doing figure 8s till you master getting the car in gear. Make sense?

4. You get an idea how your penis responds to pe. I wanted to hang badly. Turns out it was some years before my penis would cooperate enough to try then it hated hanging. So your PE career ain’t what you envision. It’s what your penis tolerates.

Keep asking me questions like this and I’ll have to do a “Newbie Theory” post. *chuckles*

Makes sense to me though. It’s a marathon not a race.

I like #4 especially.. Listen to your body. I’ll spend the next few months following and building on the basic newbie routine, listen to my body, and if gains slow or stop, I think I’ll look into a quality pump. Mainly because, all faults aside, I’ve actually had pretty good success with the Bathmate. In 2014, a few months of a couple uses a week gained me about .5” inch in length and a little in girth as well, and that was without a consistent manual exercise routine. The gains stayed for a long time, and after a few pumping sessions a few months ago, I got them back. So in the vein of listening to what your penis tolerates, seems like pumping is good for me. Still, I’ll stick with the simple stuff as long as it works. I’ve read a bit about hanging, but it seems very complex and daunting to me right now, and I don’t want to get into it.. Hanging a lot of weight from your penis sounds crazy. D:

Those are good choices, I think. You’re catching on fast. You’ll get what you’re after and safely, I predict.

Also, I did end up doing a Newbie Theory post as well. Advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

Though you may not need to read it, I figured I’d let you know cuz our interaction here inspired it.

Hey, that’s really cool! I’m going to go read it right after I finish writing this reply!

And I sure hope so! Constantly re-grounding myself that if I treat the work as a long term journey I will achieve everything I dream of helps me stay focused on what I need to do today. I imagine what I want, trust in the process, and then I have confidence to do what I need to do that day to make it (eventually) happen. So many people here have achieved amazing results, it gives me confidence.

Going to read your thread now :D

Hey everyone - hope you’re all doing well since I last posted here!

October 1st will be my official four week point in my PE journey.

At this point I’ve pretty well internalized the schedule of 2 on/1 off. It’s just something I schedule in, rain or shine, and get done. I’m doing 10-15 minutes of rice sock heat, about 12-15 minutes of stretching (out, up, left, right, 360 pulls) doing about 20-30 kegels in each stretch, 12-15 minutes of wet jelqing, and then 15-30 minutes of edging. I added the edging because I felt like trying it out, and once I did, I found my unit just stayed thicker and heavier for many hours after my PE session. Just felt like I had put energy into it and it held on to it.

Some things I’ve noticed:

1. Stretching too hard is a bad thing. I stretch moderately now, and instead of holding for a set amount of time, I choose to do my kegels while I stretch. My exact process is to create a moderate stretch, do 20-30 complete kegels (not long holds, and making sure to completely relax kegel muscles between kegels), and then shake my dick out briefly before the next stretch. This makes stretching last longer, but I think maintaining a lot of circulation is really important and it definitely makes my unit feel better. Adding in the jelqs, I probably do about 200-300 kegels every PE workout. My EQ is great.

2. Jelqing too hard is a bad thing too. I’ve found that I get the best results if I have take a *moderate* grip and take my time with technique. I take 5 full seconds to perform the jelq with one hand, then grip the base with my other hand and hold for 3 seconds (capturing the blood between the grips with mild pressure — again, nothing too intense). After 3 seconds, I continue with the other hand to perform the next 5 second jelq. Ensuring my penis is not getting choked by too much gripping pressure has really helped me stay full and hang full for a while after without the feeling that I overdid it.

3. I haven’t measured yet, and I don’t intend to until December 1st (my 3 month point), but my PI’s are excellent. I’m hanging lower, bigger, etc. I have no intention of changing my routine or increasing my times. I can get my whole PE workout done in about 45-1hr 15min depending on the edging, and that’s a good time for me. Also, my attitude towards PE has solidified even further into a LONG TERM viewpoint. I’m in this for the long haul. I don’t care how big I am I right now, that’s not going to matter in 2 years.

QUESTIONS

1. OFF-DAYS - My general attitude is “workout on workout days, rest on rest days” but I was wondering, is there anything wrong with doing piss pulls, light squeezes, and fluffing (all very gently) just randomly throughout the day for a few secs after the bathroom? Is that something I should not do? What about kegels? Can I do any on my off days or am I probably just better off keeping them on the workout days only?

2. EDGING - I don’t watch porn or look at overtly pornographic images. I’ve never been addicted or that sort of thing, but I have other personal reasons. I typically read erotic fiction or look at normal images/photographs to keep it going. That said I have one question:

Is there any benefit from edging without the PONR stop-start ing? I sometimes don’t feel like doing the whole PONR thing and am just OK with maintaining a high % erection for 15-30 minutes. As I understand it, edging (unclamped) doesn’t directly add to the gains, BUT it is good for circulation and I can certainly see the difference of a session where I edged and where I didn’t. I can even see the difference between a session where I PONR’d 3-5 times without finishing and a session where I didn’t get to the PONR at all but maintained a high % E. I’m thinking about only edging to PONR when I feel like it OR just every other training session with a brief 10 minute circulation edge where I get to the PONR just once.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! Thank you.

1. On off days I do kegels and I edge. Kegels are a muscle exercise and they don’t damage anything, hence they don’t need time to repair. They need an hour to recharge from time to time and that’s it. I edge because when looking at how most tissues repair themselves (and how nature likes to take shortcuts) I figured it makes sense to keep ‘reminding’ the tissue of its new desirable size. Since measurements are supposed to be taken 48 hours after the last PE session, this means that there is still a temporary expansion which I want to reinforce.

2. In my experience as a significant grower, I have found that edging the PONR gives me a significantly larger erection than just having a big erection. I’m suspecting it’s the ballooning effect. I don’t edge for the blood flow, I’m in excellent cardiovascular health. I edge to expand the tissue to its absolute maximum for 10-20 minutes such that this temporary expansion can be made permanent. To achieve this I edge 6 hours after my PE session and on rest days and then I try to achieve really hard morning wood on a consistent basis. But just getting erect doesn’t do it (for me) I really need to be in that top 2%-5% of my erection to squeeze out the last half an inch in length, because that’s what I grow between 90% (solid erection) and 98% (edging level).

That said, don’t force yourself. If you feel sore and don’t want to edge, don’t edge. If your PIs are bad, skip a work out day. Hope that helps!
