Sitting while hanging

In order to sit upright we have to sit on the edge of the seat - not very comfortable after several sets. Well I cut a small area out of the middle/front edge of my chair and it’s perfectly comfortable now. I sit back, with my back up against the chair while hanging. Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to stay comfortable during several sets?

Sit at the edge of a desk chair and recline back against the seat while simultaneously propping your feet up on a desk, or something even higher. I don’t find this uncomfortable, but if you wish to remain upright your method makes sense.

Sitting upright like this is comfortable enough to dose off. This morning, I got up two hours early to see if could knock out a few extra sets. I used my cell phone to wake me up after each set..in case I fell back asleep (which.. I did) I kept falling asleep because I had this huge pillow on my lap that I was able to lay my head on. Getting 4 sets done early morning makes 8 sets per day alot easier.

I think cutting out a part in the middle is the best way. My ass hurts a lot after some time of hanging. You have to sit in this really awkward position.

I had that very same idea as well, but I’ve got no tools for something like that and definitely no excuse if someone asked about it.

I’ve strung the cable out over a block (yoga block, to be exact). The net effect is that the pull is straight out (parallel to thigh) rather than down.

I lay on my back on my bed then put a chair out in front of me to put my legs up on (bent at the knee) it’s a great BTC position and very comfortable laying back on a comfy bed :)

I recline back on the chair with my feet on the floor when doing BTC hanging. Now I hang SO using a pulley mounted on the opposite edge of my desk so I can sit however I want to.

I got a pulley and I agree that solves the comfort issue when hanging SO or OTS. I’m still experimenting though because I don’t seem to get as good a stretch and it puts too much pressure on my glans…I’ll work it out though…

At the moment I switched back to vac hanging. With taping, vac hanging is really good. Not so much pressure on the glans and a very neat stretch.
