My first hang

Been doing the newbie since October last year with some pumping and clamping mixed in. The pumping wasn’t a fan of, but the clamping I really enjoy. I decided that I want more length before I go hard core clamp. I decided id give hanging a shot. I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer

1) my set up is like this: 15 inch wrap with cotton t-shirt strip right behind the head. I made my own hanger out of c-shaped conduit wall clamps, some bolts and a chain. It all seems work and doesn’t hurt a bit at 5lbs, but my head does get pretty purple/dark after 10 mins.is this ok?
2) a couple of seconds after I take the clamp off, I get this rush to my gland.almost like someone rubbed icy hot on it. Is this normal
3) can someone point me to a good routine for hanging? I’m kind of done with stretching and jelqing for a while. If possible, id like to really focus on length with just heat and hang. Any suggestions would be great

Also.

I forgot 1 more question. My dick seems to always twist to the left when I hang.everyting looks “square” when I assemble my apparatus. Anyone else have this issue.

Fyi - I’m hanging as I’m typing.this is my 3rd set (in my life). Feels great to get such a pull with no effort!

Anyway, I’m done. I did 4 sets of 10 mins with 5lbs. Most of which I was BTC. Sitting in my chair with my feet straight out on my desk. The stretch felt great, but I’m not feeling any fatigue.

Again, any suggestions or comments would be great.

NO this is NOT ok. If your only hanging for 10 minute with 5 lbs there is something wrong if its getting that dark. You are probably doing more bad than good and are probably going to injury yourself if you continue with this hanging device.

Read as much as you can about hanging and make a proper homemade hanging device before doing anymore hanging.

The head for you penis definitely shouldn’t be turning purple. Try attaching the hanger a little higher. Maybe you will feel more fatigue if you do 3 sets of 15 mins. I think thats what most poeple do, It’s also what I do. Also the mean things to watch out for while hanging and pe over all are numbness, coldness, discoloration and pain.

Hey Happy_g, maybe you should post a pic of what you are doing. Ain’t clear to me.

I’ve actually done a fair amount of pretty intense clamping, so I am familiar loss of circulation in my penis for periods of time, but this does feel like I might be pushing the limits on the head of my penis.

I really appreciate the patience and support that thunders supplies. As with most popular forums that have been around a while, it can become difficult to sift through all the knowledge.and I simply don’t have time to PE and dedicate an addition 10 hours a week to reading and research. So, shamefully, I’m hoping to make gains off the research and knowledge of others.

StichInsGluck - I think you are right. I was reading more of BIBs last night and my wrap is definitely too close to my head. I kind of thought you wanted it as close as possible to maximize the amount of the penis being pulled. I am going to attempt to wrap higher up the shaft today to see what that does. Also, I’ve got a lower LOT so I think I should be doing high angle hangs? If so, is that essentially throwing the weight over my shoulder?
Last thing.is ANY discoloration of the head bad? I would think you would have to have SOME discoloration if you clamp your dick in the middle of the shaft and hang a weight from it.

Marinera - It sucks, but I just don’t have a camera ( I know, who doest have a camera these days.but I don’t).

Wrap-
For my wrap I found a nice thick cotton t-shirt. I cut the entire bottom 1 inch off the bottom.where the double thick hem is.it’s actually a great wrap and I use it for clamping as well. I wrap that around my unit 4-5 times with slight overlap that makes the wrap about 1 inch thick measuring from the head to the base.

For the clamp I manipulated 2 of these:

When you put them together they make a circle with 2 flanges you can bolt together.
I then have a 6 inch piece of chain that runs from one side to the other. I put an s-hook in the middle of the chain and then hang off it. Compared to other hangers, It looks right, feels pretty good.no discomfort with 5lbs hanging.

I suppose some discoloration can not be prevented. I think, as long as it clears up after taking off the hanger, you should be alright. As for the lower LOT, I’m not sure what to say.

Happi_g, your problems are a consequence of the hanger you are using. Make an AFB hange - this can be even done just straigthening the clamps. You are cutting blood flow more than is needed, with a clamp, and also pushing on smooth tissue. The hanger should push only on sides of your penis.

As a good routine, since when you are using a low weight (say under 20 lbs), routine is pretty simple: do as many sets you have time to, untill you don’t feel that you need rest. Vague?

This is why I am telling you to do your research. You do not want it close to the head. This can easily lead to seriously injury. Sorry to be blunt but if your not willing or able to put in the time to do the research you shouldn’t be hanging weights off your dick. Your wrap should begin an inch behind the head and hanger should be attached 1 inch (0.5 inch at least) behind where the wrap starts on your shaft.

The LOT theory has pretty much been deemed useless when determining what angle to hang at. Just choose an angle, stick with it. When you stop seeing gains, switch to a different angle.

Some discoloration is to be expected. But you described it as a deep/dark purple. This is not expected. Are you squeezing the blood out of your glans before attaching the hanger? This might be the reason for the discoloration.

Bib still believes in the LOT theory and others to determine what angles to hang at. Bib says you don’t want the hanger putting pressure on the head but it should rest on the shoulder a little further back behind the head. And I read you should place the hanger just behind the leading edge of the wrap, no need to put it further back than that.

I agree you really don’t want a deep dark purple colour especially not after 10 minutes. I get slight discolouration in the tip after 15-20minutes.

I’d agree with Marinera the hanger doesn’t sound ideal.

Thanks again for the replies! I’m now on day 3. I’ve settled in the last 2 days with 3, 10 min sets of 10lb hangs and all is well. It seems my issues were a combination of poor wrapping and placing everything too close to the head. Today, all 3 sets produced much less blood collection in the head which resulted in less color in the penis head after 10 mins. My contraption isnt perfect and has resulted in a couple of slips.which, let me tell ya, is scary. Immediate images of my head lying on the floor :( .

Anyway, thanks again for all the responses and Ill let you know how it goes. Id sure love to see some real length gains!

happi_g_more, you are asking for trouble by increasing your weight that much. Really just calm it down. Going from 5 to 10lbs after just starting is asking for injury. Cut back to 5, and increase by 1lb each weak. Hanging is a slow game. It is easy to get caught up in the ‘I’m not fatigued’ early on, but at this stage you are acclimatising. 10lbs is likely to produce a quick and sudden injury at the beginning.

Also, your hanger does sound risky. Build an AFB as marinera suggested, you need to take the pressure of the nerves and the blood supply along the top of the penis.

Totally agree. I went up weight to quickly and it has really cost me. After months with a poor technique and little gains I went back to 5lbs now trying to perfect my technique.

Yea, by moving up in weight so fast if you are lucky and don’t injure yourself you will at the least “toughen up” your dick, thus resulting in it getting stronger faster than it gets larger and therefore minimizing your gains. 1 pound per week. 1 pound per week. 1 pound per week MAXIMUM.

Am I the only one getting pissed off at this kids lack of research?

I mean, 10, 15 years ago a bunch of dudes sort of just GUESSED what they were doing (like this kid is) because there was no information on hanging. There are YEARS of information about hanging now, because of those guys who risked (and in some cases received) severe injuries through trial and error to get it right. They have got it right and they HAVE shared that information so we can get it right in the beginning while keeping our dicks healthier and stronger than ever.

I’d be praying for you if I wasn’t so certain God(s) didn’t exist.
