Anyone who happily converted from a Bib to a Vac?

Hey guys,

Question is pretty much in the topic.

I`m a previous Bib hanger and have done two “cycles” with some gains, but had to quit both times due to me not really having the time to do it.

I have now considered adding Vac-hanging, as I imagine it to be much easier to get in effective sets throughout the day, although weight needs to be reduced compared to a Bib hanger. Could possibily solve that by doing some fulcrum hanging or RSDT.

I would appreciate to hear your experiences.

I am uncut, so I`m not the most optimistic about vac-hanging, but I`ve heard many uncuts have done it successfully.

Thanks in advance,

Renholder

Which hanger are you thinking of buying?

Jelq my boy, jelq like the wind.

I`m not sure.

Are there not any commercially available vac-hangers at the moment?

The reason no one sells vac hangers anymore is because they are so easy to make. Drill three holes in a PVC end cap. Make the sleeve yourself or buy them from MB. That’s it. Attach weights and hang. With a heavy sleeve you can hang up to 15 pounds for an hour at a time. I feel this method of hanging is much safer, and certainly more comfortable than clamp on hangers. School is still out on is it more effective.

So BG, what do you think is more effective, BIB or homemade vac hangers?.

You missed the last sentence in BG’s post.

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

Primary goal: To have an EQ above average (i.e. streetsmart, compassionate about life and happy) Secondary goal: to make an anagram of my signature denoting how I feel about my gains

“School is still out on is it more effective.”

Did not get the meaning of the expression out when I first skimmed the text. I suppose that he is trying to say that old school BIB is more effective, no?.

Thanks for the input, Big Girtha:)

I`ll look into making one myself.

I`m curious…is there a big difference from the sleeves used for vac hanging and the Xleeve?

I have the Xleeve and while very comfortable as an ADS, I could never imagine hanging weights from it. I know it is not designed for heavier weights, but still…

I think he is saying that it is still not certain whether either method is more effective.

The advantage I see from my perspective is that vac-hanging allows for longer hang time, more effective hang time compared to the tedious process with attaching the Bib and similar hangers, less decrease in circulation, etc.

The obvious disadvantage is that vac-hanging won`t handle as high weights as a Bib, but the advantages may well compensate for that.

Hanging 3 X 20 minutes with the Bib takes at least 2 hours. More if you are a newbie and need to learn how to use it.

With the vac-hanger you could most likely hang effectively for 2 hours and save the hazzle of adjusting the hanger, jelqing between sets, on/off with the hanger, etc.

The advantages to vacuum hanging:

1: Comfort, one can hang for hour long sets in relative comfort.
2. Safety: The device does not cut off circulation or put pressure on the urethra.
3:Pulls from the tip: Which I feel causes less skin stretch.
4: Ease of use: For me not having to deal with wrapping, and adjusting saves time.

Disadvantages:

1: Buying the sleeves can get expensive, because they will eventually tear.

When I say school is still out on the hanger’s effectiveness. I mean that I personally, have not yet seen any erect length gains, although I have seen significant flaccid length gains, which is all I’m really interested in. But I’ve only been using the hanger extensively for several months, now, so it is too early to tell.

I just like the concept of pulling from the tip, and I know this is increasing the length of my flaccid hang. Stand in front of a mirror in a brisk room stretch your dick out to its maximum flaccid stretch length, then let go of the tip. Watch how your flaccid retracts, or turtles inside. It does not move inside the fat pad as a whole unit, but rather shrivels or sort of telescopes into itself. To me when I hang weight pulling from the tip it just feels to me as if the hang, unturtles the internal structures, kind of un-retracting the telescoped shaft, for a lack of better words, like pulling the tunica out from within itself.

I have two Bib hangers, both the original, and the starter. They are both bloodstained and well used. These hangers are very well made, and make the possibility of hanging enormous amounts of weights a reality. There is no doubt about this. I’m just no longer convinced that hanging massive amounts of weight is necessary.

But don’t get me wrong, here. I have great respect of the legendary Bib and his hanger, not to mention the contributions he has made to this community. If used with reasonable weights in the manner he suggests you use the device it works fine. However, the device does two things that I don’t like. One, it cuts off circulation. Two: it puts a lot of pressure on the urethra. I sustained several injuries using this hanger; of course I was abusing the device with weights up to 40 pounds.

On my last injury, I actually took the Bib Hanger to my urologist and put the device in her hands for an evaluation, or for her personal opinion. I also showed her all the other devices I was using at the time of the injury. She honestly felt that it was the Bib hanger that had cause the injury, and not the CableClamps, or the pump, although she said that the CableClamps too were dangerous, but did not think they had caused the injury.

I think the Bib hanger is the best choice for weights over 20 pounds, but the vacuum hanger handles 15 pounds with comfort for an hour without cutting circulation or squeezing my beaten and battered urethra. For me the choice is simple. I just need to get the hang of making these sleeves.

I’ve only used up to 5 lbs. With the vacuum hanger. Big Girtha are you taping your glans when you use 15 pounds? My glans becomes swollen from the vacuum created after 20 minutes with 5 pounds. It goes away with a minute of jelqing but I don’t want to get water blisters. That would be hard to explain to the girlfriend!

No tape. I’m using two sleeves I got from MB. I put the softer one on the inside next to the skin, and the tougher red sleeve over the soft sleeve for strength. So far no blisters. The only problem stretching that thick red sleeve over the mouth of a 2” cap is a real bitch. In fact the only way I can do it is to put the cap in a table vice. But I’m not complaining. I’d rather wrestle with that tough sleeve than keep replacing the soft ones when they rip. I don’t think he intended the red sleeves to be used this way, but they work really well for the 15 pounds.

I found this topic searching for negative effect of vacuum hanging; I revive it to add my contribution to the BigGirtha’s analysis.

I’ve been using (on and off) the vacADS waist-wrapped, similarly to the last picture here (from MB site).
Using an adjustable elastic belt I increased force over time, reaching a limit which I think is now comparable to a low hanging force (maybe 7 lbs - still looking for a way to measure properly).

The interesting point here is, I can wear it for many hours every day, beneath my clothes. No discomfort, no privacy issues.
I only have to turn the belt around every hour or so, to angle the penis once on the left, once on the right.

Having conditioned the penis over a long time, now I do not suffer all those troubling disadvantages usually linked to vacuum and strong pressure:
- fluid buildup, disappears over time.
- blisters, I’ve had one once, ouch. Disappear together with the fluid buildup.
- bruises, rather than a long-term conditioning, it seems I only have to be careful (limiting the force) when I first wear the ADS after some time.
- dry skin, same as buildup, it seems the skin ‘gets accustomed’ - I wonder how this is linked to discoloration.

I agree; I can only add that I’ve been using only 2 sleeves, each lasting for many many months.
Another relevant thing is I can wear the ADS beneath my clothes, so no need for free private time. Perhaps I should rename it ‘All Day Hanging’ ? :)

While flaccid gains are to some extent constant, I noticed erect gains especially after a week or two I couldn’t wear it, and not minimal gains: something like 1cm (~0.4 inch).
Hence my curiosity about rest time in hanging; the next week I’ll stop using it again, hopefully I’ll be able to report something else.

I’d be interested in hearing your opinion in what kind of negative effects I could expect.

I forgot to mention another advantage I discovered other time: like BigGirtha I have to use a bigger cap for the vacADS.
This means of course more space inside the cap, where is the glans, resulting in a growing pressure other the glans skin as soon as the applied force increases.

When you’re not conditioned yet, this pressure over the glans is the primary source of problems: fluid buildup and blisters are direct consequences.

What I discovered is, once you get conditioned, the pressure just acts like you’re actively pumping the glans, resulting in a bigger head.

Permanently? I mean the enlarged glans.
