1/2 inch gain - mixed routine
I’ve been a member here for a while, but only started posting here a few weeks ago despite having attempted to get gains from various routines. Jelqing and stretching did nothing, and an extender did nothing for me (I must of course emphasise me). I never posted because all the info I need is here. I used the excellent tutorials, and read the many posts, but never gained. Did however get excellent EQ, but I don’t need such an intensive routine for EQ.
Anyhow, the old “that looks easy gene” kicked in when I saw the bathmate (yes I know this is the hangers forum, but I’ll come to that). I bought one, and used it pretty much once a day for 2 weeks with 2 days on 1 day off at the lowest level where the tube held to me when stood up , and then for the next 4 weeks twice a day with 5 days on 2 days off whilst increasing the vacuum steadily (sparkyx did some very comprehensive posts on the bathmate). Nothing really happened, my flacid hung lower, but my BPEL remained at 5.9 inches, as it has been for as long as I can remember. This takes us to the end of March.
During the last 2 weeks of March I had found Tom Hubbard’s archived site, and I thought to myself “those are good gains”. So I read loads on hanging. At the end of March I made a wench (thank you CaptnHook). Did a few test runs and found that 2kg/4.4lbs was a good place to start.
Here is my routine.
In the shower
1) Warm up
2) 50 crank stretches each way
3) 50 light jelqs to get tissue manipulated and stretched
4) 10-15 minutes hot water pump with bathmate (I look for edema and cut the session when the first signs appear as I do not want fluid build up for hanging).
5) 50 crank stretches each way
6) 2 sets of 50 jelqs
Out of the shower, dry myself etc
7) Apply cocoa butter
8) Make sure I have a 10 minute period before hanging (ensuring that I don’t loose heat)
9) 2 sets of hanging for 15-20 minutes with a 10 minute gap in between with post hanging massage
10) occasionally I do a 2 minute cold water pump in the bathmate
11) Apply cocoa butter
I have done this pretty much twice a day, everyday since the start of April. I have missed about 3 days in total. Sometimes I have hung up to 4 sets in the evening depending on how I’m feeling. I’m now hanging 4kg/8.8lbs, and get a nice fatigue. An extra 0.5kg makes things uncomfortable at the moment. I started doing SO in the morning, and OTS in the evening, but after reading a bit more I settled with OTS (saiyan22 to thank for this one). I have a 6-7 o’clock LOT.
I first noticed gains of just under 0.25 inches by late mid april, and I’m now just over 6.5 inches BPEL (3 days in a row). I find this growth very sureal, I almost have to pinch myself.
I cant say how much is attributable to hanging or the bathmate, but my thoughts on doing both were this; if you pull a piece of material in multiple directions, one after the other, then the fibres separate out more evenly and easily than if you just keep pulling on it in the same direction. However I’ve posted in hanging because I don’t think the bathmate would have done it on its own.

2)The Permanent Pain Cure by Ming Chew - A book about fascial stretching to cure pain. Ming Chew recommends 3 things for fascial work preparation; Water, Fish Oil, and systemic enzymes. Systemic enzymes are very expensive, he recommends it for fascial scar tissue breakdown. I drink the water and take 3000mg of cod liver oil a day.
