X4 Labs Closed, Where To Buy Replacement Parts?

The X4 Labs website is gone and they haven’t said if the company will return. I sent them an email, but I didn’t hear back. I’ve been making some decent progress with the extender lately, but I’m worried that I’ll have to stop when I run out of comfort straps and foam. I don’t think they had a huge sale before closing, so if I had a way of contacting them, I’m sure they had a lot of products still left in stock.

If I can’t get these replacement parts from X4, does anyone know of any suitable replacements from other companies? I’ve seen some sites charging $20 for one comfort strap, which is ridiculous. I think X4’s kit was less than $200 and it came with dozens of comfort straps (along with 2 extenders and a ton of other items).

You can use velcro straps in lieu of the comfort strap. For padding get a pack of infant socks and cut the toe out of them.

Comfort straps are the only way that I can get the high tension that I need to keep gaining. I initially used a silicone noose extender, and that worked to get about a 1 inch gain, but I’ve now gained about 3.35” in flaccid stretched length, and a noose/Velcro attachment won’t let me stretch as far as I can with a comfort strap. I’ve created a method of extender attachment (which I’ve outlined on these forums a couple of times) that allows for a great stretch, and it’s been able to get me gaining again after having plateaued for a long time.
If I’m not able to buy replacements, I’ll probably have to go back to hanging.

I found the Leluv comfort straps and foam on eBay, so I ordered a couple to see if they’ll work. They look good, but they list the length and width of the strap, and the length is way shorter than it should be. I’m hoping this was just an error, because the strap in the picture clearly doesn’t have the dimensions that are listed.

I’m pretty well stocked on straps and foam for my X4, but interested to see how these workout for you. Thanks for taking the leap! Be sure to keep us X4 users posted as to how it works out:-)

For those of you who don’t follow news from out of China, let me fill you in because I get daily briefings from a reputable Chinese source.
The CCP which is basically in control of all business entities in China has been forcing people to work for free. Many people have gone for over a year without being paid. I guess it’s not hard to connect the dots when it comes to how people react to not being paid…. they refuse to work! So off to the “re-education camp” you go - LoL

Looks like everything in your place is quite expensive. I bought the x4 for $ 20 and it works very well. You can go to aliexpress, the devices on it are quite cheap and the quality is almost as good as the brand (my English is pretty bad)

Hi there Baba.. I use the x4 labs as well and used only the comfort strap and foam as well. Once I ran out tho I opted to try a silicone tube and Velcro strap.. And for me it works way better.. I can really get a good stretch.

I started at ab 6.5 in BPEL now I’m at 7 1/8 BPEL..

They’ve been failing for way longer than the labor problems in China have been affecting the markets…

I received the straps and foam from LeLuv, and although I haven’t tried them yet, I can see that they’re definitely not the same products that X4 produced.
X4 had memory foam, but the LeLuv foam is a very different material. It’s stickier, and it almost feels wet. This could be better or worse, and I won’t know until I try it.
The strap from LeLuv is slightly narrower, which may fit with their headpiece, but it leaves some extra room with an X4 headpiece and making it less secure. The strap material is also more pliable than an X4 strap, which may cause them to have a shorter lifespan. X4 straps are firm, then slowly soften with use, so a strap that starts out really soft seems like it won’t last as long.

As far as making straps with 3D printing, I don’t have any experience with 3D printing, so I don’t know what options there are regarding the firmness/softness of what is being printed.
A better option, since the original is silicone, would probably be to make a mold of an X4 strap and reproduce them with silicone. I know there’s a wide range of how hard/soft you can get silicone by using different kinds.
