EXTENDER. good or bad strategy?

I’ve had issues with erectile function so I figure posting my question would be a wise thing to do… I don’t want to overdo it. I’m using an extender while always trying to keep the tension at the 1200g bar( the lowest tension on my extender). It seems like my penis adapts after around +/- 1 hour and I start to lose tension. My question is, should I just leave it with less tension or keep adding tension whenever it gets lower than 1200g?

Hi Tim. I think you should adjust the screws ( if your extender has those built into it), to keep the traction at 1200. There isn’t anything wrong in leaving it as it is, but it will be more efficient to keep the traction at the level you want.

If you have erectile problems you might not want to use an extender as your primary pe method.

It’s a long story and and it took me even longer to figure it out… I’m bipolar, my meds went off the market along with my erectile function. Theres a huge link between depression and erectile dysfunction. I’m starting to stabilize and things seem to be functioning better. When I’m 100% I’ll post something about it. This place has been great and maybe I could help someone too

Not surprising that mental health affects libido and eq. If you have done the newbie routine you might want to look into pumping. Hope you get better.

From my experience, using an extender for the required amount of time needed to see growth leads to a drop in eq. If you are already suffering from erectile dysfunction like I was/am the drop in eq could be drastic. I don’t know why but thats what I noticed. Do you extend?

I do(6-8h per day x 5 days a week)and have noticed a bit of a drop in EQ too. So far it isnt enough to stop me from having sex at least.

Hmm interesting… Is that the only PE method of training you’re doing? The medical term for an extender is a Penile Traction Device. They are clinically used to treat Peyronies disease, so in other words correcting a curve. If you research documented clinical trials that use these devices they express their tolerability and effectiveness. Quite often the extender used is the Penimaster Pro, 4-6 hours per day but never above 1200g of tension. When these studies compare erectile function before and after the treatment period(6 months) there is a boost in erectile function for many of the candidates. I’m not sure if this boost would only apply to people with Peyronies disease but it’s worth a look.

Hey DST did you find pumping helped out with erectile function? I’ve been pumping but mostly very light conditioning stuff cuz of the red dots so I cant really say if its helped much yet

I pumped a bit when I first started pe but not enough to give you any real advice. From what I have read from pumpers however, it seems to improve eq. Try searching for pump threads on the forum, I am sure you will find the answers you need.

Exactly. I thought so as well.

I used an extender for about a month and EQ improved dramatically over that time (didn’t had much problem with that before usage). Then, all of a sudden, EQ decreased. I’m pretty sure I overzealous/overdoing. But here in this thread I learn that Extenders can cause a decrease in EQ, regardless of overusing.

Does anyone else have an input/can contribute on the matter?
Does extenders by themselves harm EQ, regardless of question of overdoing/overusing?

I don’t want to cause confusion for any would be extenders and I doubt extenders on their own cause eq problems. Like PhoenixNow, when I was extending I did so 6-8h a day, everyday. At this level a drop in eq is to be expected. If you are extending for shorter periods, increasing these periods slowly and taking rest days you should be fine.
