Shedding the Snake: Peeling to Remove Discoloration

It’s a week later. The last bit of brown, burned skin washed off this morning.

This burn was more productive. It removed some darkness that had been resisting. My thickest skin is on top, about the first inch behind the circ scar. Makes sense, I guess. It probably gets the most friction from clothing.

The key to removing the hemosiderin gunk is burning deep enough. Due to how unevenly the wart remover penetrates, a few areas still need more treatment. The right half of my penis is now completely cleared. Looks great - as good or better than before I started PE. All that remains is touching up a few places on the top and left side. I’ll do another burn next week.

I’m getting tired of the down time. If I get bad enough discoloration from PE in the future and decide to peel again I’ll buy some straight salicylic acid.

First I just wanted to say that you are my hero for being a discoloration pioneer. I don’t worry about my discoloration nearly as much now that I am fairly certain I will be able to get rid of it once I reach my girth goals.

You say you might try straight salicylic acid now and use that because you don’t think the salicylic acid is distributed evenly in the wart remover cream. But judging by your earlier comments, you can’t put 100% salicylic acid onto your dick. So my question is, won’t you have to mix it with something else anyway and risk uneven distribution of the acid?

Thanks. I also feel a lot better knowing I can eliminate discoloration if it gets bad again.

I meant acid without the extra crap in it. I don’t know the ph of wart remover, but it is 17% salicylic acid. You can buy plain salicylic acid in various concentrations. I saw small bottles for sale somewhere online.

Since I’m so close to being done with this I’ll stick with wart remover. If in the future I decide to do another peel I’ll probably get some acid without the colloidion gunk.

Ahh I see. I would try this out now, but considering I’m still doing fairly intense girth exercises, there really isn’t a point.

Yeah, might as well wait. Try not to go so intense that you discolor the area between circ scar and head. Peeling that part really stings. BTW, uncut guys probably shouldn’t peel under the foreskin.

Discoloration is usually in a band around the middle of the shaft, so most won’t even have to worry about the more sensitive areas.

I’ve never had problems with the area between the circ scar and the head, but I have never done any extreme uli’s either.

I know you said that after the skin peels off you were getting a nice pinkish color with the new skin. Has that since turned into a more normal skin tone?

Yes, the pinkness doesn’t last long.

I did another burn today, focusing on the remaining spots and splotchy areas.

This is the 3rd burn in this round.

Burn (which didn’t go as deep as I wanted)
2 weeks later: burn again - worked pretty well
2 weeks later: today’s

Due to the uneven penetration not all areas have been fried as much each time. This is the first time I’ve done 3 in a row at 2 week intervals.

Do the burned areas weep or secrete for anyone? I have a discolored spot on my abdomen which i tried putting some wart remover on (Duofilm, 16.5% salicylic acid, 16.5% lactic acid) and it made the brown skin peel. It looked quite pink and raw and there was a fair amount of water coming from it so i couldnt put any cream on it. Ive put a bandaid on it now so ill have another look at it in a few days. hopefully its better, summers coming soon and i want to take my shirt off.

So far, I’ve only had some very slight weeping from some small spots for a short period on my shaft after one burn. It was when I did the area between my circ scar and head. Here is the post. It happened on day 2-3 before the skin even began to peel.

After the dead skin peels away the underlying skin is a slightly pinker color than usual, but otherwise perfectly intact and healthy. The pinkness soon disappears.

Your wart remover has different ingredients than mine. Mine is 17% salicylic acid without any lactic acid.

How long did you leave it on?

A couple of minutes, until the wart remover turned into white stuff then i washed it off.

Your stuff seems too strong for use on the shaft. In addition to the acid percentage, pH is a consideration. Facial peels are often buffered to bring it up some. The pH may vary among different brands and formulas of wart remover.

Please let us know how the spot turns out.

Excellent work, sir. I applaud your risk and innovativeness.
I thought this conundrum would go unsolved for a long time.
I am happy.

Thanks.

I’m getting frustrated with the wart remover. I try to get it concentrated on particular small areas. Often the skin around these places burns well, but not the spots I was trying to hit. Ugh.

Oh well, I’m getting too picky anyway. With some PE my circ scar band will return as it did before. There is no point in trying to burn the last remnants of it away. The skin behind it will also turn a little darker after some PE.

The last true tiny dark spot got taken out last time. Before that I could see it in a mirror 10 feet away. Goes to show how black my dick was before I started the peeling.

I did what I think is a final burn today in another attempt to burn the remaining small areas that aren’t quite as light as everything else. Judging from the frosting, it looks like I missed them again. We’ll see. The applicator in wart remover bottles doesn’t allow for much finesse, but I try.

My second bottle of wart remover is now gummed up and useless. I’m most likely done for now. Before today’s burn there was 99% or better improvement, with only a few small spots remaining that I notice and another observer probably wouldn’t. Most of the shaft is back to pristine condition. Hell, now I’m getting so picky I’m thinking my scrotum looks too dark in comparison. It doesn’t. No, I won’t burn it - don’t worry. ;)

Verdict: This definitely works. Some pain, some down time, but it works. Next time, if there is one, I’ll probably use plain salicylic acid instead of wart remover so I can monitor the frosting as it happens.

It almost sounds like there is some quality to the darker skin that repels the product more than lighter skin (moisture, stratum depth?). I think I’d be tempted to experiment with various substances (alcohol, oils/grease, H2O2 etc) in selected areas of normal skin to see if one or more of them is capable of creating a surrounding barrier to make the stuff to stay in place, without unduly forcing already good skin to recycle.
