Manual stretching analogy to hanging
I’m no stranger to stretching, that’s where I got most of my gains (~0.8” in 8 months) and it’s probably my favorite exercise. I always stretched in 5 directions (SU, SO, SD, left, right) and lately I’ve incorporated BTC in my routine which is a total of 6 directions.
I also have experience with V/A stretching and I usually use thumb and index finger as fulcrum in 3 spots on dorsal and 3 spots on ventral side of penis. For me, fingers seem to work better as fulcrum than various cylindrical objects.
So why is the thread title “analogy to hanging”? As most of you know (especially hangers), it is best to hang at one angle (usually BTC or SD) to maximize ligament gains before moving on to higher angles to target the tunica. Bib also advises this approach, I think he calls it divide and conquer, i.e. attack angles one by one instead of all (shotgun approach).
From my experience, shotgun approach works, at least when it comes to stretching. I don’t know how similar or different hanging is in that aspect. I want to hear your opinion on this subject. Is shotgun approach really better for manual stretching or should I try divide and conquer like most hangers?
I know most of you will say no need to fix something that works. However, what if something else works even better?
