Will buy an Ir-lamp

Hello!

I will buy an Ir-lamp with 100W, is it enough? Or how much do I need?

Regards

I found that a 100w lamp was not a good thing as you have to have the lamp too near your body to get the full benefit. ie. It gets in the way when you are doing things.

A 150 watt 230V lamp is a better proposition - 230V being the norm in Europe.

It gives out more heat and you can stand it back a bit. also it’s a it heavier and therefor more secure when you are moving your hands etc whilst exercising.

Hope that helps.

hej svensken,

I agree with petitfaun. It should be a 230V lamp in order to create some serious heat above 40° celsius and on the other side keep some distance between the lamp and your heating- target. This way you can also cover a larger area with IR-light.

I’m telling you this because once upon a time my fully heated lamp fell on my dick, which resulted in 3-4 weeks no PE and an ugly looking scar abou 1 inch below the glans. Alltså, safety first!

Is any of you guys concerned about the time aspect at all? I read lately in a “heat is good for PE”- thread the opinion one should better not expose the body to too much IR-heat for too long time. Any thoughts on that?

What are the benefits of the IR lamp?

So you mean guys that I need 150W??

Are that some problems if I warmup 4 times/day with it? Maybe 5-10 minutes, want to use it with my Vacextender!

Regards

Will any infrared bulb work in a compatible lamp? Like the ones for nocturnal reptiles?

150W is what you want. I had one but unfortunately I sold it recently. You may have to look around for them because they seem hard to find.

Not always IR bulbs tend to have either screww type fixings. a two pin bayonet or a three pin bayonet . I have seen them with a eculiar fitting that clicks in. but they seem to be a rarity.

So do check to see what lamp type you have before rushing out to buy.

There are speciality lamps which do not produce light but they give out the same type of heat, although it may be a different frequency , and of course the wattage may be different.

Thanks guys!

Petit, do you think I can use it four times day? (5-10 minutes).

Or shall I use it under light when I PE?

Mine is around 220/230 volt, works great.

So does mine. 250 V, old socialist production. Takes some time until it’s hot but you can leave it on as long as you want to. indestructible.

Sorry for delay svensken I was otherwise engaged yeterday.

There shouldn’t be a problem with the IR lamp just as long as you don’t overheat and burn your dick.

Also four routines a day might prove a bit exhausting for your unit so do take that into consideration when exercising.

Please note Guys; that 230 Volts is the mains supply voltage with you MUST use ithat if that is the supply voltage noted on your electricity meter

The watts consumed by the lamp is an indication of the heat produced. 100 Watts will produce less heat (and use less electricity) than 150Watts. And so on up the scale of watts.

The number of watts (kilowatts is the normal consumption amount quoted) is what you pay for.

Petit

Someone (Firegoat if I recall correctly) stated earlier that too much (20+ min?)IR light everyday is bad for you. Either way, I try to minimize my time with IR and use other options instead.

Do you have a link or a thread name, Pillars?

I would agree with that if high strengths of Ir heat are used. But there are several types on the market for direct heating on small new-born animals , for 24 hrs a day. And of course we receive it 24 hours a day from the sun (albeit in timed doses)
