Will buy an Ir-lamp

Actually, it was MR Happy who said that, but he forgot where he read it. Concluding from Firegoats posts, he sees no harm in IR light.

Mr. Happy - Hello

Two things:

IR penetrates tissue well, but doesn’t get through cloth very well. Overheating your testicles will likely disrupt sperm production. But if it is done on a regular basis, one might wonder about permanent damage. In other words, cover your balls.

IR bulbs with the regular screw in base (E27, to be exact) can be used with regular light fixtures. Only make sure that the light fixture is rated for the wattage - it is not uncommon that regular table lamps are rated at max 60W for instance. Using a higher wattage in a fixture rated for less may result in the fixtures base melting, the bulb falls out, sets a towel on fire, your apartment burns out, the fire forensic folks find a 150W bulb next to max 60W fixture = reckless endangerment and off you go to prison + no insurance coverage. Get my point?

Thanks for looking it up, Pillars. But I’d really like to see some more proof on this matter, not just opinions.

I personely like the research goonbaby did in his thread Using Light to get Heavy - INFRARED about IR light being PE-supportive when it comes to tissue healing and cell stimulation. But also what he wrote about nutrition and rest periods. Definitly worth a look!
I can’t recall he said something about a 20 minutes time limit. But Is this just a myth or is there a medical basis for this concern?

Time limits are always dependent on intensity. No doubt it is contraproductive to heat to such an extent that tissue degenerates, but that is dependent on the wattage, how far away you hold the lamp etc. Use your good judgement.

Yeah… and keep your balls out of it, right?

Exactly ;)

Thanks

Cotton sock, boxer briefs, cut off t-shirt material.

Ideally use something white that reflects the light. I often use a few folded sheets of white paper towel. It’s handy to have around for cleaning up lube etc. as well! If you pull your underwear down so that it still covers your testes, you can tuck the paper towels into the waistband.

I don’t have the time to look for it now, but I recall Phillips, who are main makers of IR lamps, do have a lot of safety research on one of their sites. Have a good Google for it, and if you can’t dig it up, I’ll try to find it another time.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

When talking about IR lamps what specific wavelength are we talking about? Does anybody know what is the optimal wavelength for deep tissue penetration - healing results - not overdoing it ?

Google probably has the answer! Basically, any lamp that’s designed for ‘muscle/joint health’ (and I’ve used a few) all seem to penetrate well and do the job. I wouldn’t worry about trying to find one specific band of wavelength within the IR specrum.

Make sure the bulb isn’t emitting much UVA/UVB light. You can get bulb which emit only these wavelengths. Too much exposure to them would cause “sunburn” obviously- something you would want to avoid.
