Tunica

Tunica

I’ve been doing PE for about 3 weeks now and have gained about 1/2 inch in length and 0 in girth. I’m more concerned about length gains at the moment and I guess I will think about girth later and assume I may pick up a little girth along the way. In this time frame I’m assuming my gains are due to ligament stretching. I’ve been reading the forum and picked up on the fact that after you get all you can get from the ligs, you need to focus on the tunica. So I’ve been doing tunica research in anticipation of doing tunica focused tunica work. The theory that seems plausible is that you work the ligs all you can to make room for tunica work, then work the tunica until you feel the ligs come into play again, then work the ligs again, etc.. Again I’m talking about gaining length here.

There are many pictures on the web and in this forum that show a cross section of the penis and after viewing these, I finally in what the tunica is and where it is at in this cross section. I’m assuming I have a 2 layer tunica and I would suppose that to gain lengths in the tunica I need to work the longitudinal layer.

Given this brief explanation, I have some question after doing my research

1). I suppose to work the longitudinal layer, you have to work where the tunica attaches to the body. I’m seen my cross section pictures, but I’ve not been able to locate where the longitudinal portion of the tunica attaches. Some insight on where it connect would be helpful.

2). Exercises to lengthen the longitudinal aspect of the tunica. I’ve read some here too. It seems that the tunica mainly surrounds the CC on the top and sides. I haven’t been able to see cross section pics that shows a tunica surrounding the CS. So, it seems that and inverted V-stretch and a V-stretch to each side would exert forces on the tunica - wherever it connect to the body as yet determined by me. The problem I have with the inverted V-stretch, is that placing my finger under my penis to bend the penis over my finger puts allot of pressure on my urethra as there seems to be allot of pressure (pulling and bending) across my finger to stretch the tunica. So I don’t like this exercises.

I’ve read about stretching up. I can see how this works as it takes the ligs out if the equation, but I feel more stretching in the ball sac area than the top and sides of the tunica.

Bottom line, I’m looking for good exercises to stretch the longitudinal aspect of the tunica.

3). Risks of stretching the tunica. I’m read some threads in here about softening up of the tunica to aid in the stretch of it. Can you actually soften the tunica? If you can how so, by stretching it? And if you can, since the tunica is harder than the CC’s on purpose to trap the blood for erection, is there a potential risk for a weaker erection (or forbid loss of erection) due to this so called softening of the tunica.

4). Injury of tunica due to any PE exercises but specifically those that target the tunica. I’m my research of the tunica, I read more about Peyronie disease. Some suspect that injury causes this and causes plague and calcification of the tunica in the area of injury (I think this is basically right). So, any PE-ers that work the tunica ever create a bend in their penis when it used to be basically straight when targeting the tunica extensively.

Looking forward to your replies. Thanks.

Anecdotally, PE seems to reduce the curve I naturally possess. Your question on ereection quality risks is interesting. Many who PE find that their erection quality improves greatly, but that could simply be due to enhanced bloodflow and strengthened PC / BC muscles.

Hey, welcome aboard man!

I didn’t read your entire post but to be honest some advice I can give you from my own experience is this: stretching isn’t everything. Focus more on jelqing dude. I made the mistake of solely stretching for 10 months because I didn’t like the post-jelq darkened look jelqing gave my penis. Once I realized it was only temporary I continued jelqing. Jelqing is really the base of PE.

In search of a perfect body, penis, and girl.

The search NO longer continues. :)

I’ve been doing the newbie routine thus far for 3 weeks and am happy with the results. So I’ve been doing jelks as well as stretching. In fact, this week I jelked too hard and popped some blood vessels so I had to take a break - bummer because I’m happy with the results of the newbie routine so far and will stick with it until I hit a brick wall.

Thanks for your replys so far. Hope to get more.

You’ve been doing PE for 3 weeks. You need to continue to condition your penis with the Newbie routines before you proceed to advanced PE routines of which tunica stretches are one. I’m not saying not to be interested in stretching the tunica, but if you do this too early in a PE program you may do injury that might arrest your interest and/or progress in PE

The tunica does have two layers, an inner layer with circular fibers and an outer layer with longitudinal fibers. The layers are closely applied to one another. You will not be able to see this on cross section unless you are using a microscope to view specially prepared and stained tissue slices on microscope slides.

Let’s just concentrate on the tunica that covers the corpus cavernosa. The tunica covering the cavernosa is a tubular structure that attaches to the pelvis at its root (or crux) and extents all the way to the end of the penis just under the glans.

The tunica totally surrounds both cavernosa separately with a septum in between. The layer of tissue that covers the corpus spongiosum is thinner and far more elastic, this is why the CS is spongy when the penis is erect; this is how it got it’s name. Ignore the CS for this discussion.

The attachment points of the tunica are not important here. For longitudinal tunica stretching V-stretches and inverted v-stretches (also known as a-stretches) are done with the traction on the flaccid penis. With this tension, the transverse force is applied in a number of ways (see Penis Enlargement Manual for more information).

Girth routines such as jelqs, squeezes, clamping and pumping tend to work on the circular inner fibers leading to girth increases. Just realize no tunica stretching routine solely lengthen or expand. Pumping, hanging and jelqing (and by some posts would include clamping) do both to some degree.

The concept of tunica softening makes no sense to me. It is a dense fibroelastic structure made up primarily of collagen fibers. If some one can tell me how you “soften” collagen fibers, I’m listening.

PE in fact strengthens the tunica by increasing both fiber length (what we’re hoping for) and fiber diameter which makes it more stiff, not soft. The only way to weaken the tunica is to stop PE and erections for an extended period (as we try to do with decon breaks) and allow atrophy to decrease fiber diameter and hopefully not fiber length.

Injury to the penis is a possibility in any PE routine if not done correctly and carefully. This risk increases with intensity, the state of erection, and what type of stress you’re placing on your penis. You need to know what your doing and must be ready (conditioned) as you advance your routine. Whether repair of tunica injury caused by PE leads to fibrosis and ultimately Peyronie’s disease is controversial and has not been definitively established as a cause.

I strongly suggest you search this forum for more information on this subject. I guaranty you’ll find more information than you might really want to know. Read this thread to help you with searching the forum (How to use the Search button for best results).

I am definately going to search more.

HEAT softens collegen. Applying constant heat throughout your workout will allow you to greater stretch the tunica fibres.

At the end of your session, during one final stretch/girth hold, you should put your shaft under some cold water. This will “solidify” the collegen fibres that you have softened, but will solidify them in this new stretched out state…

Really? So heat to warm up and while stretching and then cold to help cement gain? Wouldn’t the cold water cause you to get smaller and solidify them in that state?

You should cooling while mantaining the penis stretched.

newnew997,

you would think that it would cause the penis to shrink but it doesn’t. It turns out that the penis only does that when the core body temperture drops. So by reducing the temperature of the penis only, and not the body as a whole (by putting cold water on the shaft with the shower head), you are not initiating this shrinking response- this surprised me the first time I did it.

You only need to cool the shaft under the water for about a minute, it only take this long (not even) to cool the shaft right down… I do a stretch (after just taking it out from under a hot shower, then turning the shower to cold) at the end of the session, for about a minute (minute and a half probably better), then put it under the cold water, while still in the stretch, for about a minute.

Hey I think I am going to do my PE in the morning shower, then for my cool down, wear my ADS, it’s nice and cold out now so does this seem like a logical thing to do?

Seems a solid idea to me :)

I use a home-made stretcher in the bath that really does a great job. I noticed recently that if I gently pull at the base of the stretcher I can get an intense stretch right at the root of my penis that almost feels as if I could pull it right off. It`s a very strange feeling, like I`ve hit on something deeper inside that with the usual stretching.

I only do very gently tugs because it feels so wierd and I don`t want to injure myself. has anyone else experienced this sensation?

pudendum:
“Just realize no tunica stretching routine solely lengthen or expand. Pumping, hanging and jelqing (and by some posts would include clamping) do both to some degree.”

I always hear that hanging should be done separately as girth routines inhibit length gains. Seems unlikely if the above is true. Or?
