Time Under Tension Vs Rest Time

Hi all, I’ve been using the totalman vacuum hanger for a few weeks and have a question about the ‘time under tension’ theory. It seems to be accepted by quite a few people here that more time stretching/hanging equates to more length gains. Currently, my routine is about 1.5-2 hours stretching in the mornings and 5 days on 2 days off. The amount of time for each session is limited by the vacuum on the glans wanting to cause blisters.

I’ve recently found that in addition to my morning stretches, I can repeat that same 1.5-2 hour session in the evening without any noticeable hit to EQ or risk of blisters. I just wanted to get people’s thoughts on any benefits of increasing total time under tension with two sessions per day versus having the longer period of rest between single daily sessions.

I tried multiple sessions in a day but didn’t find any benefit beyond the one 90min session. Are you using heat in your session, I think it is best to optimize that rather than add more time

Yep. I wrap with the totalman heating pad and remove it during the last 20 minutes for a cool down under tension.

I was under the impression you wanted to wear an ADS for as close to 12hrs a day as possible for the fastest results - is that not the case?

As far is I know this is the case when using them as intended with light tension. However, I have been using mine with a much higher tension (building up to around 6-7lbs). The idea was to get as close to the routine in 5.5squared’s thread as I could, but since I lack privacy, I am unable to hang. Regardless of the method, whether ADS, hanging, manual stretching, etc, I’m trying to gauge if more time under tension(additional set 12hrs apart) would be more beneficial than 1 set with a full day to heal. If P.I.s or E.Q. Remain okay of course. Would this be overworking it and cause it to toughen up, therefore making gains harder to achieve?

X4 published data (not verified, but published nonetheless) that suggested a positive correlation up to 6 hours per day, at which point gains would plateau.

It seems reasonable that the more time you spent with your pecker stretched out, the more likely it would adopt that lengthened state.

So what’s up with the other guys who don’t even wear a ring around their pecker, not even for minutes.

7_wants_10 (mos forum) was the one who gained like this, only doing manual stretches, clamping, water pumping for maximum 60 min/day. Totoro from this forum also gained like this, Stan from pegym, bennet8 from this forum and there are more but I can’t remember now. Btw, these guys gained around 2” of bpel, 7w10 gained more than 2”.

I think the penis doesn’t respond well to long duration stretching, the ligament might do that, the penis might respond well to intense stretches.

I think the combination of both is supposed to work, only using light tension for long periods of time might actually take too long to be efficient. I noticed more recently that there are a few members who didn’t gain a thing for 5+ years, my guess is that the hard stretching followed by aggressive edging and Uli squeezes was missing. Robert James from this forum was extending for 10-12hours everyday for quite some time, but he was also stretching with his hands and clamping/edging/having sex with his wife, wich, imo, gets to be intense/very intense training most of the times.

But, from what I found out, someone would have to be really extra horny/motivated in order to do such an intense routine.

Well I’m trying a combination of the two right now. So I guess I’ll experiment further. I’m doing some time under tension and stretches threw out the day. Doing 5 of intense PE and 2 off. Then every other week I’ll do one day on and one day off of a lighter routine to try cement the gains. Then back to hard core time under tension stuff again. That’s the general idea. I have more details and stats but I’ll give it a go for awhile and see where it takes me first.
