Sustaining erections when jelqing

When you jelq, are you often maintaining your erection through every stroke or do you need to stop every once in a while to get your erection level back up?

It seems that every fifty or so jelqs, I need to stop completely and bring my erection from about 30-40% back up to 60%. I feel like if the penis is losing blood during the jelqing, then I’m not doing a very effective job of trapping extra blood into the penis and, thus, eventually gaining girth. So if I have to do this.am I wasting time? Will I still see results? Is this common?

If it is incorrect, what are my options? I’ve never had problems with ED before and can always maintain an erection during sex, but if I’m not doing anything sexual, my erections seem to fade quickly.

Hey OP -
I’m just speculating, but maybe your jelq technique is a bit off. First, I’d say, if you’re losing volume while you jelq then it could be because a contrast of opposites:

(1) Your grip (non-moving hand) may not be as firm as is necessary to trap blood in your member. It’s should be firm, but not tight [at the base of your penis]. You don’t want to constrict blood flow to your penis, but you want to trip enough long enough to help your girth gains.
(2) Your grip [moving hand] may be too strong performing the jelq movement up the shaft of your penis. The contrast in these too grips could be causing your blood to be pushing out of your penis. So go slow and focus on your technique.

Just my opinions.

And, (please, someone correct me if I’m wrong), but if you get any gains at all from performing jelq exercises then they will be minimal. Performing jelq exercises are primarily for girth and stretching exercises will help you length gains.

Jelqing improves EQ and could most likely give you girth gains. Don’t count on lengthening your unit with jelqs though. That’s what stretching is for.
