I have read other articles about this but haven’t managed to find a clear answer (if there is one).

When streching I usually grab about half way down the shaft and feel most of the strain in the base of my dick. However I can’t tell if it is the skin or the ligs that are being stretched (or both). What does it feel like when you hit the ligs while strecthing? Is it normal for the skin at the base to sting a little after stretching?

Hi phil,

Skin stretch is not entirely avoidable, you’ll always feel some skin stretch. The important thing is to make sure the majority of the stress is being applied to your ligs or tunica (depending on what you’re targeting). That said, it’s quite easy for me to differentiate between the sensation of lig and skin stretch, even in the beginning of my PE career. If you aren’t currently able to tell the difference, and you feel a sting in your skin, then I would guess you’re getting more skin stretch than lig stretch. Try gripping a little harder to create a stronger grip on the internal tissues on your penis, which are attached to your ligs. You should be gripping and pulling on these internal tissue opposed to pushing on the glans, which will only result in skin stretch and possible numbness. Grip tight enough to effectively feel the lig stretch, but not so much that you experience any pain.

It is normal to feel you skin stretch and even become sore, but over time this quickly fades away and you will feel your ligs much more.

This has always been a tricky thing for me. Being uncut, it doesn’t matter if I squeeze the hell out of my dick, the skin still easily slides up to the glan where I then put my glan in a head lock. It seems even if I used vise-grips or a damn table vise I could not grip the shaft effectively.

My issue is, the videos on all the stretching techniques on this site seem to be doing the exact thing - putting the glan in a “head-lock” while stretching, yet everyone here says not to pull from the glan!! - So, is this the right way to stretch?? Is their an actual video of only stretching from the shaft and/or base?

haha, yes that is the right way to stretch. Just make sure you aren’t gripping right behind the glans and putting direct pressure on it. As long as you start your grip at least 1/4-1/2” away from your glans, and have “shoulders” (bunched up skin) in between your grip and glans, taking the brunt of the force, then you should be ok.

BTW, have you tried to use any grip aids? Do you warm up before stretching?

Yes I do warm up, and have used a couple aids like powder, kleenex. These do help gripping the skin, but only the skin, and it still easily slides up to the glan. I must make it clear that my fingers end up “hooking” under the glan while stretching, that is why I still feel like I’m actually pulling from the glan, not the shaft.

After you grip, as you slide your hand towards the glans to apply the stretch, are you creating the bunched up skin -“shoulders”- between your fingers and your glans?

There might be a disconnect from me not understanding how an uncut dick works, but as long as those shoulders are “shouldering” the stress, then you’re good to go. Also, I’m sure you already are, but make sure you’re using a grip that will allow for lateral compression. That way, even if you are applying pressure to your glans, it won’t be on the sensitive dorsal nerve region located on top, right behind your glans. That’s the key area to look out for and try to avoid stressing.

I know exactly what you mean here. Do you find that despite this you are still getting a good stretch?

I feel I am getting a good stretch, but just worried about the old “pulling from glans” thing. I pull back the skin as much as possible then grab about 1/2 - 1” behind gland, squeeze with all my fingers, but I inevitably end up “choking my gland”
