Protein Shake After Workouts ?
I don’t know if this has been covered but is this a common practice as it is in weight training ?
After a workout with weights it’s recommended to drink a protein shake with some red grapes to spike the insulin which will put the shakes amino acids into the bloodstream which will then get delivered to the aching muscles. Then within a window of 40 mins something like a tuna sandwich , idea being the aching muscles will take from the food immediately .
I know weights obv are a serious stress for the body and not comparable to a jelq , but I was wondering if this has been tested with good results ? The unit does need blood and if in the blood stream there are the correct foods at the correct timed intervals , ie after with timed spiked insulin levels , I guess someone’s tried this ? Love to hear if it helped.
